  1. The fact that most opponents are going to be husk variants shouldn't exactly be a surprise at this stage, and I'm not sure what the problem even is.
  2. Umm.... The council gets replaced by ME2 already, never mind ME3.
  3. *shrug*, "story bridging DLC" seemed to be one of the most popular requests between ME2 (since they'd basically promised it for ME1, and failed), and Bio delivered. Obviously I don't care one way or the other, but looks like both alternatives have their supporters.
  4. Fair enough. My point was more that DLC having impact on the main story is a good thing, instead of being just a bunch of axed sidemissions finished and released later. Not that even that's necessarily a bad thing, *cough* bring down the sky *cough*
  5. More likely to just dump it in the Channel these days...
  6. Why make DLC in an RPG if it has no impact on the overall plot?
  7. I can understand how they would be able to disrupt cellular services but how the hell did they disrupt electrical services? Id love to see what they had inside those stealh choppers. http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2010/0242775.html ?
  8. Had some texmex and a coupla drinks with friends. Now feeling pleasantly buzzed.
  9. That was kind of beside my point. Oh, I see. You mean the rotation aspect? Precisely. And I assume that also in the Det the "high-stress environment" played a large part in the rotation, and not just the "faces getting a bit familiar after a while" aspect from an intel point of view.
  10. ... Kay. Here, my birch pollen allergy decided to manifest itself with a double nosebleed and some serious itching, instead of the more conventional blocked nose and sore throat. Not too happy, and my university medical blows.
  11. Probably what they've been doing all the time. Just packaged into an investor-friendly format. Or they're going to rip out all conversation to make it more COD.
  12. Interesting. Source? If you have a moment. Just googling seals afghanistan delta iraq brings up a surprising amount of info. But lmgtfy: http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2011/05/03/...ls_8446533.html Individual burnout after only three years? I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. I know the SAS would envy having a big enough pool to draw on to get replacements every three years. But surely you'd be losing a lot of skills with each transfer out. *shrugs* Horses for courses, I suppose. Again, comparing the elite of the elite of the elite to the merely very elite is a fallacy. I believe the 14 Int in Northern Ireland would be the closest comparison, where people from already elite units (like SAS) were rotated into an ultra-high stress environment for a similar duration.

  14. Considering the audience it was directed at, I'll wait for e3 before I start tearing my clothes off in rage. Everything I've heard about the game so far has been good, so unless the delay is due to them wanting to make serious changes at this stage, I'd rather look at the whole... Bio has been adding (well, trying to add) a lot to the shooter aspects of the game (LADDERS! ), so that could be part that John R is referring to in trying to hoodwink the investors.
  15. ffs, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States...velopment_Group
  16. After DA2, this is probably a good thing (and I'm guessing related to that backlash), but knowledge of that won't override my personal disappointment of not getting to play it while I'm still a carefree student with little-to-no work commitments of the kind that would prevent me from gaming 2-3 weeks straights with a little scheduling.
  17. I was under the impression that the intel wasn't confirmed until the raid was, well, complete.
  18. Yes, but getting killed by military force is not breaching those rights.
  19. Well, it's your prerogative to decide when you jump down people's throats. Since we are going on about people's thickness, could it be possible to object to the way something is said, as opposed to the message itself?
  20. You are either grossly underestimating the amount of Europeans in this thread or are displaying the behaviour you accuse others of.
  21. That's just because I've been posting all day!
