  1. Both questions directed at me have been answered correctly (and in admirable detail :D) while I was dreaming of unicorns, so no need to address those more. AFAIK, they're recycling the N7 mission maps for those. So 6 N7 missions, 6 MP maps? Will be interesting to see if they maintain dual use in the future, or if they'll go the way of Activision's 1200 point MP maps.
  2. I approve of that plan. Instead it's the Full Monty soundtrack and (hopefully) some of the final paragraphs in my dissertation. Looking forward to having a life again, and even sort of the the working out necessary to drop the massive amount of weight I picked up between my ex leaving and me sitting indoors writing this thing at lightspeed for the past two years.
  3. The Bio boards define fanboy like this forum defines hater. While I find both abhorrent, normally I'd prefer mindless adulation over inane bitching. The SNR here is WAY better, though, which is why I come here, even if I feel like don Quijote most of the time. OTOH, if I hadn't gone diving, I wouldn't know that cloud saves break the ME3 import function, and I'd be pretty ****ing p.o.d come thursday midnight.
  4. Ah yes, mass effect 1 combat, HMWA X was the originator of the awesome button... or trigger in that case. "Hold this down indefinitely and everything dies". While ME2 might not be exactly the pinnacle of combat design, it certainly blows ME1 out of the water and the Sol system. Also, major spoiler onslaught at Bioware Social. Kind of a bummer, since I've been writing all day and need to read more insipid video game rambling than this forum can currently provide.
  5. Yeah, 'cept nobody follows the Brussels regulations more obsessively than the Finns, and our rescuers can pull people out of the water just fine. This obsession with water "safety" seems to be an entirely British phenomenon, I've run to it before.
  6. Well, I guess there was a reason why I never spent five minutes in one spot, then.
  7. Pretty sure no, just the three mentioned. Of course, we're still pretty far from CoD4, but...
  8. Oh, I remember fondly the last time I posited a game might not be worth its hype and the amount of PMs flooding my mailbox that time. I'm sure Undecaf has no idea what I'm talking about.
  9. I still recommend the spoiler-free non-review review from IGN, which seems almost surprisingly honest: http://xbox360.ign.c.../1219445p1.html
  10. I guess we came here at the same time and with the same motive, Raithe. Still snippy, cool down. And the DS3 forum is (sadly) almost dead, like the Alpha Protocol one. Guess I'll have to hold my will to communicate here and wait until the SP RPG comes out. But like someone said before (my man!), while I trust Obsidian's work, it's not the most exciting project they ever worked on. We'll see. I wonder who is the creative designer for this game. Gonzalez? Ziets? Well, have fun people. Well, you're the one who came here bitching and derailed this for pages.
  11. Seems like a good idea generally. ... Guess it's time to start my obsid forum blackout.
  12. Except this has been done all of two times afaik. Well, three if you count Space Siege (I'm so not counting Space Siege).Vampire Bloodlines and Mass Effect 2. I like the system myself, but it's not by any means a RPG standard. Real (ie. table top) RPG =/= CRPG.
  13. I'll just refer to entrerix's sig for the appropriate social commentary. Also, http://blog.bioware....-mass-effect-3/. I wasn't confused by this before, since I just assumed it was just like those +renegade/paragon situations in ME2, but apparently in their urge to cater to the OCD, they had to make this convoluted system so that you don't get a single renegade point. Also, you seemingly now get exp pops every now and then due to all of the whiners who had never heard that in a real RPG, xp is awarded at the end of the session/mission. Late addition edit: There's a otherwise pretty indifferent video on changes between me2 and me3 that brings up an interesting point. If you're importing, the narrative adjusts so that, say, when you first meet Ashley, you're going to have an actual talk with her instead of the quick pass the demo had. I got the feeling it could work both ways, so that old players are going to "miss" some exposition that would otherwise take place at another stage.
  14. Final comment in code says: <!-- I can teach you how to use your wrath. --> Inneressin' Also: https://twitter.com/#!/TrentOster/status/175281817342058496 :D
  15. No, that's Zaeed's gig in ME3. There's going to be a love triangle between Zaeed, the weapons bench and the trash compactor? SPOILERS!
  16. Been obvious that this is their plan, since, well, forever. I know I'm on record on this, too.
  17. http://forums.gibber...ic=22624&st=405 I'm kinda skeptical that an iOS port/remake is what this is about, considering you can already get that, for free. I've been known to be wrong, though. Yeah, you can play it "for free" if you hack your phone/tablet and void the warranty etc. Definitely no call for a real port. *eyeroll*
  18. Could well be reading off the same script. But yes, for all i know, all the Cerberus people from ME2 could be showed into some five-minute blink and you miss it cameo. Which is kind of sad, I was really looking forward to a soothingly voiced away team of Ashley and Miranda.
