i thought tomb raider was great, and never understood the torture raider jokes etc the new lara struck me much more as a killer discovering their true calling, not a wounded animal fighting to survive

or matt and trey wanting to add more and more animations to the game to make it really feel like you are playing an episode of the show instead of a game inspired by the show also, the game has, in essence, been delayed one year. that's not even close to DNF or daikatana levels of delay if we hit a 3 year delay, then i say we're in for some trouble

i have very high hopes for witcher 3, but if they nail the combat this time around then i'll be more than satisfied

we are definitely living in an indie game renaissance of sorts so many games coming out every month now, tons of little gems but im not sold on our living in a golden age of AAA games. too many mega-budget games are derivitive and lacking courage and real artistic/creative ingenuity

alternating between LoL (arams), Path of Exile, and Batman Origins i like origins, but it definitely lacks the polish and attention to detail that the former dev team crafted the first two games with

sleeping dogs was awesome. the story missions have some weak links, but the kung fu combat is a blast

that trailer was pretty awesome, now i want to play water kitty game

batman origin so far it seems less polished than the prior 2 games, but it will probably end up being "good enough". i got it for free so it's hard to complain. for people on the fence about it, i'd say if you are yearning for more batman, then it will scratch the itch, but if you were hoping for a major upgrade over arkham city, then i'd wait till it hits a lower price point

mods need to remove this thread and ban this guy.

i want capcom to make more alien vs predator beat-em-up games i think the Alien universe would be a great setting for a game like system shock 2. enemies should be somewhat infrequently encountered, and scary when you do encounter them if they make it too similar to bioshock it will just be a shooter and for the LOVE OF GOD PLEASE CHANGE THE MAIN CHARACTER, ripley's daughter died a happy old woman, she wasn't anyone special. leave ripley's family alone. make the main character a new character. it would be like if in Dark Forces, instead of kyle katarn you had played obi wan's lost and forgotten son. NO. he did not HAVE A SON so you CAN'T PLAY AS HIM (i get a little heated when it comes to bs like this ever since what happened with the star wars prequels)

i would only offer this advice: if at some point you start to feel the game becoming too repetitive and you begin to think of stopping your playthrough, stick with it anyway, it will be worth it.

After the NV Metacritic nerdrage and Prey 2 débâcle, I think Bethesda is done with external development studios. They already have enough internal studios who can develop spin-offs of their own main games if necessary, especially Arkane, MachineGames and Tango. sadface.

i'd play that. and pay full price too (and buy all the dlc) anything to increase the odds of beth giving fallout 4.5 to obsidian

installed skyrim HD mods but they are conflicting with something else i have installed so i'll mess with that later played 2 hours of the new splinter cell game.... not very impressed so far (i haven't played splinter cell much before, im more of a MGS fan). the game looks dated, the animations are clunky, the story is boring and nonsensical. sneaking up on people is neat, but i've definitely played better and more polished feeling stealth games played some arkham city since it's on steam sale for so cheap right now. punching bad guys in this game is fun. I wish it had melee weapons and kill moves like sleeping dogs, but then it wouldn't really be batman so i see why they didn't.

Code veronica, RE1 and 2 are all really good, if you like and can still deal with the classic controls, then i highly recommend playing Code Veronica

is there like one massive mod to graphically overhaul skyrim? i remember there being some kind of high res texture pack, has that been incorporated into one? i can just look around myself on the nexus, but i thought there was a chance someone might have a strong recommendation

need some advice i just finished setting up my brand new pc and i want to play something really shiny so whats your favorite graphics intensive game released in the past year or so?

AC3 was so promising, i loved the setting and the set up, but man oh man is it a poorly designed and constructed game tons of stupid missions, lack of polish, lack of impact to most of your actions it was the first AC game i felt really let down by (i skipped revelations which was supposed to be kind of bad too) hopefully the new pirate game gets the series back on track
