i think a better system would just be to permaban someone who trolls after receiving 1 warning. private forums are a privilege, not a right. no fuss no muss because its hard to post 1000 pages of complaints about being banned after you've been banned

all the information is already available. your address and phone number etc all that it already out there, having your name on blizzard.com won't change that. the only real issue seems to be the connection between your already available information, and the fact that you are registered on blizzard.com. if you're going to get fired for playing wow, maybe its time to quit. (ambiguity intentional)

i just finished Mirrors Edge last night. It was well worth the $5 I spent on it, I would go so far as to say it would have been worth $10. Excellent music, an ok story, and very cool, but occasionally flawed gameplay. Though it is a short short game

max payne was the game that made bullet time a cool fun thing, regardless of whether it was the first game to actually do it. it also (i believe) coined the term "bullet time", which is still used today

i miss those random encounters, i hope they do a better job with that type of stuff in the new game

yeah, i don't EVER buy games for full price on steam, and yet i've bought about 25+ games on the service. their sales are just too goddamn awesome to pass up.

bear in mind that the only reason i signed onto these forums was cause i was so happy that obsidian was going to get a chance to make a fallout game. so it feels like i've been waiting a long time for this. only a few months feels pretty crazy to me... but go ahead and poop on my party, i dont care

i got intensely bored with titan quest after about 10-12 hours. this could still be good though

damn you steam for singlehandedly doubling my backlog since last winter... the last two days alone: i bought red faction, i bought stalker c.o.p, i bought the xcom pack, i bought pbwinterbottom... i still have mirrors edge and warhammer 40k dawn of war 2+expansion to play, thief 1-3, gothic 1 and 2... and beyond good and evil (but i need a control pad for this, mouse and keyboard is no good for this game) thats not mentioning anything in my console backlog (about 10 games strong right now... okami, persona 4, hell i still have Shadow Hearts Covenant to get through, and i've had that in my backlog since it came about 7 years ago... good lord I'm a failure....)

i would probably try wow if it was free, just to see what all the fuss was about but i'm really looking forward to diablo 3, starcraft 2, and guild wars 2 more than a free WoW

i thought max payne was awesome back in the day, i bought it on the day it was released and played it about 6 times over the next couple months. i tried the xbox version for part 2, major mistake, the controls are abysmal on console

i miss the death animations in fallout 1 and 2. they werent really slow-mo, but they had just enough oomph in the sound design department that your attention really focused on them as they occurred, it was just so exciting to see. I never got that excited in fallout 3 except the first time i shot someones leg off with a shotgun (like in "above the law"! or was it "out for justice"?) it would have been cool if fallout 3 had animations as awesome as those were, plus 20 more so you don't feel like you see the same ones repeated very often. oh well, in another world...

That's my biggest fear. Something about the stupid AI wasting ammo and never taking cover/retreating when it makes sense to. the game is totally playable single player, don't sweat it. I recommend giving a rifle to the computer player and all the rifle ammo you find, they pretty much never miss a shot. keep all other ammo to yourself

bioshock 2... its pretty good. not great, not terrible.

that long gameplay explanation really sealed the deal, it sounds like deus ex, big levels to explore, tons of methods to deal with every situation etc... it sounds like they really nailed what worked about the level/game design in deus ex.

good lord was that awesome or what... so much great info: everyone is killable, traits are back, they have a good solution for the endgame (auto reload of last viable save before ending), etc etc so amped

the lightside never wins because good is dumb. seriously though i couldnt care less about a monthly fee required mmo time sink. i'd rather news about kotor 3. also why so much hype for force unleased 2 lately? i was under the impression the first game was a bit of a poopile?

new mortal kombat game is coming out. its 2d again! will still prolly suck, but i'm excited anyway

ok... after reading those three eurogamer previews... im officially hyped now. i'm a bit bummed about the removal of multitools and skills, but honestly, my favorite parts of deus ex are the level and quest designs, so if they nail those and make the game fun to play and FEEL like deus ex, well, i'll be happy enough (i still really liked bioshock even though its a shadow of its former self - systemshock2) and seriously that cg trailer is just too awesome

i liked fallout 1's towns the best, a good mix of ruined cities and upstart towns

my friends and i have on occasion watched uweboll marathons (copious alcohol is a requirement) alone in the dark is like this generations Plan 9, I highly recommend it as a "comedy", second of course, to The Room (which is a masterwork in awfulawesome) WARNING: trying to watch a boll movie, or The Room, as an actual film and not a joke is about as much fun as stabbing yourself in the eye

alone in the dark is by far his most funny movie imo i was laughing almost non-stop throughout dungeon siege was just boring
