  1. Qunari seem a combination of Fremen with their philosophy, and Seanchans with their attitude towards magick. And they have cannons. Can't forget about the cannons.
  2. Baldur's Gate. Low-level campaigns are soooo much better than all the epic level cheese. I had forgotten about the area with the basilisks and wondered wtf was going on when I noticed my party members' portraits suddenly went disappearing one by one. Good times.
  3. I had previously hoped on a story for DA2 involving a war between the Black Chantry of Tevinter (blood magic FTW) & the White Chantry of Orlais, but this doesn't seem really possible. A war between two nations of Thedas would just be an invitation for the Qunari to attack them in their weakened state. For the same, the Qunari aren't really in a position to break the status quo, since that would just unite the major powers of Thedas and they'd might even lose the islands they had conquered x years before the game. Unless of course a major Qunari force would arrive from their home continent overseas...
  4. Do yourself a favor and play with a lady. They don't look fugly, don't run like somebody pushed a stick up their arse & their giggle after wasting enemies is even sexier than Leliana's.
  5. Enemy wizards needing 'epic gnolls' in order to protect themselves, is a bit ridiculous. At epic levels, any enemy wizard should be able to rape an unprepared party, like in TOB. But in MOTB everything comes down on spamming level 9 spells or the occasional Vampiric Feast... it's not even strictly necessary to cast protections or buffs on the party, which is pretty lame.
  6. I believe that was what she had intended. Problem was that Araman killed Lienna (or whatever she was called) and started a little revolt in the Academy of Shapers & Binders.
  7. It's still possible to permanently die, depending on the choice.
  8. I really liked Dungeon Siege 2. It plays like Baldur's Gate on speed & has voice-over even worse than Oblivion, but it's mayhap the only other game (along with the Divine Divinity games) where the hero(es) get majorly screwed over in the end and the entire quest turns out to be for naught.
  9. I thought it would be about the other Chris Taylor. ?
  10. Only when my boss isn't looking over my shoulder.
  11. After literally devouring Myrkul, the PC's stats & abilities really should've become akin to a Greater Deity, and made it possible to topple Kelemvor later on in his home plane (IIRC Gods can otherwise only be killed on the Prime Material Plane). Imagine having the option to become the new god of the dead as a sort of neutral or good ending, aside from causing Ultimate Kaos by destroying the wall. WOTC could've then considered this "new dead god" ending to be canon (let's face it, Kelemvor was a major pansy anyway).
  12. Is there a mission or encounter involving Corporal Toombs? Shepard received an angry e-mail from that pansy in my first Renegade playthrough, but it never became more than that.
  13. ^Shouldn't that be "don't cut it"?
  14. Good luck grinding through the Grolm tunnels. It's not that bad if you play as a mage with Ignisphaero Fireball. Nuke them from far away and they drop fast.
  15. Taking down the Wall of the Faithless would indeed screw up the entire Forgotten Realms setting. I can understand why it was not an option. But then again, MOTB ends a couple of years before the Spellplague, where the setting gets majorly raped anyway... so why the heck not?
  16. I'm in GMT + 1. Not sure if it would work out.
  17. Sand is a very weird mixture of Xan & Edwin. I can't stand him. I always make sure that he leaves in the end because Qara is infinitely more useful in the final battle. Let her & Jerro bombard Skeletor & his cronies and things are over very very quickly.
  18. Dune RPG Oni 2 NOLF 3 Heavy Metal FAKK2 2 Drakan 3
  19. The designers should have put a Fat Man in that tiny house, just for laughs.
  20. It could've been much worse. Imagine if Grobnar stuttered.
  21. There's certainly the possibility for a more personal storyline in DA2, for instance about a Grey Warden seeking to find a cure for the taint, it's hard to imagine BioWare would simply go for the next ancient evil/blight to rise from oblivion. Even the Witcher had a hint of this, with that other guy Bellegar/Beregar looking for a cure for the mutation because he wanted a normal life. Grey Wardens are very similar to Witchers, anyhow, save that Witchers get a much longer lifespan instead of just 30 years. Oh, and for laughs, the supposed werewolf companion should be named Cernd. Nobody ever used that poor guy.
  22. Are you kidding?
  23. Basically, the reasonable thing to do for the main character & Alistair would be to leave Ferelden and join the rest of the Wardens in Orlais, inform them of Loghain's nuttery & wait for the Blight to reach the borders of Orlais. The way one is shoehorned into saving some backwater country is annoying. It's perhaps understandable for a Human noble or even a CIty Elf, but for a Dalish or Dwarf? Basically it's the same as Kotor, but instead of the Jedi Council there's Flemeth telling the player what to do... but why would one even listen to some old hag who obviously had her own plans for saving your behind?
