  1. Ahhh, beat me to it. There are some great screenshots in the article. Really gives the game a sense of scale. What if you picked Shani in TW1? That whole tryst with Triss is creepy anyway. She's basically taking advantage of his amnesia; during TW1 Geralt remembers he used to love a sorceress, only it's the wrong one.
  2. Far from me to defend my country, but both Lowlands are in Afghanistan and Belgian F-16s are playing in Libya as well.
  3. I hope there'll be another "Can't I have you both?" moment with Ashley & Liara/Tali/Miranda/...
  4. Isabel from HoMM V (Sareth's mommy) wore realistic looking heavy armour.
  5. Miranda Mk II.
  6. Interviewing 101: you can't go up against a bow tie.
  7. After the HUGE deal they made of the "suicide" mission in ME2, that would be an epic fail on their part. A lot more jarring than it was with DA2 (though, in my case, apart from the Architect, everybody who was supposed to be dead was dead and vice versa). I know it's a standard for BioWare games, but it's going to be epic fail if Shepard will have all the time to travel the galaxy looking for allies, shooting up mercs on uncharted planets and screwing blue/green/purple aliens while the Reapers are -slowly- reaping Earth... and still be in the nick of time to push the WIN!-button in the end.
  8. I'm tempted to do a Renegade ME2 replay and have as many party members kick the bucket as possible with Shepard still surviving the mission. They're probably all returning alive in ME3 anyway, BG2-style.
  9. I used to watch Berserk on French television as a kid. Good times.
  10. Russian population: 142,905,200 US population: 308,745,538
  11. Inventory looks terrible.
  12. Ah yes, "Reapers". All I want for ME3 is a Turian councilor Renegade interrupt. That is, if he were still alive.
  13. Hunted: the Demon's Forge comes out on May 31st. Isn't that a co-op hack 'n slash as well?
  14. I would've expected some wiseguy to have mentioned Ultima IX by now.
  15. I'm replaying and lost count of how many barghests I had to kill in the first chapter alone. At least in this game it makes sense for them to spawn out of thin air. Next up, there's the swamps... and its legions of drowners and bloedzuigers. Luckily the combat is pretty fast-paced or it would become tedious very quickly. I've no idea what you're talking about. By day there's almost nothing in that entire map. I don;t think I ever had more than 20 barghest teeth all in all. By the standerds of most RPG's that's a joke, for several hours of gameplay. 5 quests (3 among them part of main quest) will require Geralt to cross the entire map at night, during which barghests pop up everywhere. The only advantage of this is that the skulls net a nice sum with the witch. I sold at least 50 skulls.
  16. Read Steven Erikson instead. He actually finishes his stuff (Malazan).
  17. I haven't encountered better third-person combat than in Severance: Blade of Darkness. Gothic/Risen's the only RPG that at least tries to somewhat emulate it.
  18. Daggerfall. Screw turn based.
  19. It's surprising funcroc didn't post this.

  21. Is that a mascot?
  22. Who cares about graphics? It's about the story. I hope we'll be able to visit all those places.
