  1. * returns * Basic issue Codex. It's always been like that.
  2. * Heads over for a look *
  3. ^ Fakkin 'A' QFT Couldn't put it better myself.
  4. I like it. I sniffed the bait and circled, then saw the trip-wire. But still, a good effort sir. I salute you.
  5. ^ Unless you are an old fart like me you won't remember US organisations like the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism, quasi-LARPing combat societies), out of which came RPGs like RuneQuest.
  6. The main reason IMO for the lack of the expected vituperative backlash is most of the promancers I know aren't active on these forums as much, they are on other forums who appreciate the importance and necessity of Romance in an RPG.....like BSN And now we can rest easy knowing they'll bloody well stay there. Mission accomplished.
  7. Does this also mean you live in 1989?
  8. Yes. I see no point in being magnanimous in victory. Is Anita Sarkeesian on the books at Obz yet?
  9. This is my next target. I want to play a game, not experience an interactive version of Das Kapital.
  10. Let's swap classic Raymond Chandler-esque lines for Shady. "She rolled her eyes at me. I picked them up and rolled them back."
  11. On a related note, I would imagine part of the challenge / fun of cosplay is making the bloody costumes. Y'know, improvising. Not being spoonfed by some creepy Bioware employee who wants to turn a very mediocre video game into a holistic lifestyle experience / cult.
  12. Thank you, Sir, for actually getting it. I don't know where this generation of precious snowflakes comes from. Maybe they need their own circle-jerk forum where they can all agree on everything and compare their unicorn-themed sleepwear.
  13. It'll be interesting to see the regional sales figures a year after release. It might be that North American sales outstrip European by virtue of market size, what sort of metric is backers versus non-backers post-release sales for crowd-funded games?
  14. Let me help you there. Pillars of Eternity is a CRPG. Dragon Age: Inquisition is a Bioware Game. Big difference.
  15. This sounds astonishingly worthy and dull. When I play a fantasy game the last thing on my mind are urgent social issues. I get enough of that everyday in the r/w.
  16. It looks plenty big enough to me.
  17. No, they can talk to their favourite plushie toy while playing.
  18. Yeah I think a modding toolset as a stretch goal is a good idea. I'm not getting too worked up about this yet --- we don't know enough. There might be proprietary, technical and / or budgetary / resource issues (or a combo of all three). I'm pretty sure Obsidian understand the importance of modding and the (largely positive) legacy of IE modding.
