Wait, there were battles against sea monsters?

First half of PoE1 I can get along with, but then it turns into a slog for me. I'd rather replay Yoga Fire, which I find looks still beautiful. However, at the same time it always has this ... feeling of being too mechanically designed. No clue if it's because I'm so familiar with how these quests are developed, because I do that stuff myself, or if it's just the game ... The quest design feels just so predictable to me. Always the same different paths, 3 factions, every companion with a drama quest and two possible outcomes, etc.... It's just so... designed. It seems that on their quest to bugfree releases, all the heart got left out.

Wait, they are working on Homeworld 3?!

Isn't this happening everywhere? 10 years ago I paid ~450€ for 60m². Now I pay 550€ for 37m² (was forced to move some years ago). And I'm not even living in the most expensive area around here. It gets worse if you get into Berlin. The government is trying to mitigate this with rent-limits, so the prices can't creep even higher, but this isn't solving the issue - it just moves the price hikes to the outside areas of these rent-limit zones.

Continued with Warrior Nun. I'm in episode 5 or 6, and it is starting to get a bit cringe for me. I don't know... so far I just keep watching, because I have nothing else. But a part of me just wants to stop... 😄

You know, it made me think about hijabs, because the headdress of our christian nuns are actually kinda similar, yet nobody complains about them. I totally forgot about this stuff, but I just remembered that my grandma (a teacher) was occasionally at a school for ... well ... orphans and stuff. She was closely tied to the church, thus when I was very young, I also had quite some contact with nuns. Outside of that I actually don't remember much ... it's been too many years since. I think it always felt a bit weird to me. Guess I was never really open for all this god stuff. The other kids around there felt odd to me. As a child ofc I wasn't really thinking about any of this. It was just ... odd.

Watched the first two episodes of Warrior Nun. It's ... ok, I guess? But still feels like I've seen it all before. Maybe I'm watching too many tv shows.

And I'm here like, I just want movies that aren't superhero stuff anymore. 😄 Like, seriously. I can't anymore. I don't want to see superhero movies and tv shows and anything related to them. Especially because most of that stuff is just always the same now.

Watching Samurai Champloo right now. Nice soundtrack. Show itself is sometimes a bit boring and same-y though. But mostly it's pretty good, I guess. Still have 5 or so episodes to go.

Another issue with these super tight point restrictions is that you would end up never spending your stat / skill points on a levelup. Instead you'd try to get through as much dialog and combat as possible, and once you hit a wall, slowly increase your skills until you (hopefully) make it through. Welcome to save-scumming, the game.

Not gonna go into early access titles anymore that won't feature all the content. My experience with this stuff is that I will play the existing content a lot and once the full game is released, I'm already burned out from it and will likely not touch it again for a long time.

I accidentally watched Attack on Titan s1 - s3 again. Honestly, even on the 2nd run it's as good as the first time. I'm still cringing on some of the dialog, but oh well. Can't have it all, I guess. The german they sing in the intro tracks is funny. It's not wrong, but it's also not how german people speak. For example this song starts with "Seid ihr das essen, nein wir sind die Jäger!" (written wrong in the video subtitle btw) ... so anyways. This line is technically correct, but it's phrased wrong. It should rather be "Seid ihr die Beute, nein wir sind die Jäger!" This translates to "Are you the prey, no we are the hunters!" instead of "Are you the food, no we are the hunters!" There's also some scenes in the actual episodes with very questionable translations. Now I'm just not sure if it's simply a bad translation, or if japanese people are just speaking like that and it got translated literally. Anyways ... just saying, because it was bugging me a lot on the 2nd run. : >
