Yeah, I think it's a pretty nice transition from The Butcher of Blaviken to The White Wolf, though I feel like this is also one of these areas where the show feels rushed. I started to rewatch the show and notice so many details now which feel quickly brushed over. Really, really should have been at least 10 episodes, to give everything a little more room, imo.

I finally got all the charms and stuff in Hollow Knight. Later today I'll try to beat the radiance... honestly not looking forward to it. A part of me wants to restart the game, but I don't want to burn myself out for Silksong.

Such a horrible fate. :,(

In the first moment I didn't felt like that, but he was quickly growing on me. Also big fan of the dwarfs. Shame there wasn't more of them. Damn, I really want more episodes now. So hyped. Remember when lots of folks hated on Henry when he was announced as Geralt? lel. I don't want to imagine anyone else doing the role. /Edit: Oh I just remember... what was weird as hell and felt like pushing an agenda again... all the random black people showing up. It's like "oh damn, there's too many white folks around! Quick! Make this guard a black dude!" ....... And I can't shake off the feeling that because of the early backlash against a potential black Yen (or was it Ciri?), now Fringilla became a black person. This stuff feels just so damn forced to me. Always kinda reminds me of old 80/90s tv shows where there always was at least one black person, because there just had to. Isn't this also, like, a form of racism?

Well that would be a bad comparison anways, because the games are all set after the books. Personally I think Triss wasn't well cast. Also I'm still unsure about Yen... it's not that the actress was bad, but it just didn't had *the* impact that I would have wanted from Yen.

Just finished it. I like it. Pacing was too fast, though... Should have made it 10 episodes instead of just 8, imo. Lots of events that I thought to be important details were skipped past quickly. In a way it feels very americanized - everything goes fast, because we cannot risk to bore the audience? I dunno... really wish it would have slowed down at times. Just let the story breath, god damnit. However, what was shown was pretty close to the books, which I liked a lot. Now same as with the Expanse - gotta wait another year for more, ugh.

Boy the siege battle scene! I'm in ep5 now and I really like it. However, I agree that it is cutting the stories way too short. Reading the books first feels mandatory here. Also yeah, the show is jumping from really cool to... questionable sometimes from scene to scene. It's weird, but I don't hold much a grudge against it. Actually pretty happy they announced season 2 already.

Check out There Ain't No Stealth In Space, it's pretty good at explaining everything. There's also lots of stuff about combat in space in general - it just doesn't work like in Star Trek, Star Wars, or most other sci-fi shows.
-
The problem with the stealth in space is that it just doesn't work. Whatever tech they are using now, it's just space-magic and not better than... I don't know, light sabers or something.
-
Meh, nothing interesting in it anyway. Think I haven't bought stuff in a sale for years now.
-
I've never finished the first game, because the "look around in the environment"-puzzles were so damn boring.
-
Season 4 certainly felt slower, but that wasn't a problem to me. Bit of a shame we only got 10 episodes, though. Honestly I'd love to re-watch it right away, but I don't want to burn myself out on it. I'll wait half a year or so before doing another run. /Edit: One thing I still don't like is the "martian stealth tech" ... because there is no stealth in space.
-
Nah, they are too long and of low lore quality.

I still think the Mandalorian half the time looks like a fan-movie. The short episodes, the way stuff is cut, the .... quality of the acting at times. It just feels to me like something you watch on youtube (except for the better cgi budget). It started out pretty well, but now I'm getting a little bit tired of it. There's only a few episodes left, but barely any real story progression so far? Bet this season will end in an annoying cliff-hanger.

Just finished The Expanse s4. Now we gotta wait another year again.

Jesus Christ, wtf. Checked out some gameplay and I'm cringing so hard.... What is this? Gothic as written by a 13 years old edge lord? I feel seriously bad for the writer, because he/she clearly is a worse writer than I am, and I'm sure as hell no writer.
-
Oh god damn it, UK.... Honestly, now they deserve everything they get. Like, seriously. I can't believe this.
-
That's why I never even really liked RE2 as much as anyone else. It got praised so hard but I was always like "meh".
-
Well, RE3 *was* more action-oriented than previous titles of the franchise. For me it was pretty much the beginning of the downfall, because it was clear from then on it'll be more and more shooting stuff and less of what RE1 was.

The non-DC version gets added as well, which is good. I hated the DC. They changed the perspective and it felt so cramped and like I couldn't see anything anymore. Also I still remember how pissed I have been when they announced that more dialog got voiced. The money could have been spend on other areas in the game... instead they went with more voiced dialog, because - I guess - console peasants are too dumb to read or something.
-
First time I heard about that. Did a quick google search, clicked the first video, and... ok.

imo American politics is f'd either way. I have big doubts about it ever getting better again. Personally I just hope it'll get back to a point where I don't have to strongly fear it's negative influence on my country and / or the rest of Europe anymore.
-
I watched them, but then I realized that it might be a tad too many spoilers. Seems they really cranking up the hype machine now. Better not to watch any more trailers, imo.

In preparation of The Expanse s4 coming at the end of this week I've started watching the last 7 episodes of s3 again (so I can time it exactly with the start of s4 \o/ ). I kinda expected to doze off in-between, as I have seen s3 twice already, but to my surprise it still hooks me hard. It still excites me, even though I know exactly what happens. Guess this is a pretty clear indicator that The Expanse is - to me - the best show I've seen in years. There aren't many that I can easily rewatch and totally get into again like that. PS: I HATE weekly releases. It's a pain in the arse. Heck, I'd be fine with 1 episode each day, but waiting from week to week really pulls me out and annoys me more than anything else. This crap worked back in the days with monster-of-the-week episodes, but it fails hard with continuous storylines and cliffhanger-episodes. I still remember how much I was angry at Battlestar Galactica back in the days, because it was the first show I've experienced this with. You're really getting into that episode, it gets to the high-point and.... done. Please wait another week to continue. Then once you start the new episode, you're completely out of hype and everything feels mood. Rinse and repeat. Ugh.
-
It's the "monster of the week"-episode format. Generally not bad, but the story suffers from the little exposure of characters. Remember the first season only has 8 episodes and we are already in episode 5(!) and so far not much noticeable happened since ep2.
