  1. Just watched Netflix' Don't Look Up and now I'm depressed.
  2. Well, I don't like the old anime style, tbh. I just can't get into it. I like stuff that is like My Name and such. Modern, fine lines, detailed. Your Lie in April and Erased looks also kinda nice to me. And of course the new JoJo, which also looks great. Sadly animes of that quality seem to not happening all that often.
  3. Damn, I really like the visual style of My Dress-Up Darling, but everything else about it is so cringe.
  4. Wait, I just learned this new Star Wars show with Bobby Fat is out? Somehow nobody at all is talking about it. Is it that bad?
  5. I never finished PoE1 because it was simply too long and for me it lost a lot of steam later. However, I think PoE2 was exactly the right size and hell, I even finished it twice.
  6. Just finished How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? and it's hilarious. Waifu muscle kink stuff but most of the time not even that cringe. Honestly, I have seen far worse animes. At least this one isn't the usual harem stuff that makes you want to vomit.
  7. The writing clearly suffered from the "more = better" crap that was going on back then. I still blame Planescape: Torment for this. We all thought that more text = better rpg, because of a single miracle case of a game that came out like 20 years ago. Oh boy how wrong we were. Turns out it's really not the amount of text, but the quality of text that matters. Lots of the stuff in PoE1 could have been cut out and nothing of value would have been lost. Stuff like reading the "souls" or whatever that was didn't help it either..
  8. Jeez, PoE2 became profitable in 2020 -- 2 years after release. I knew it was running bad, but didn't expect this bad. Personally I feel like it's because the majority of players were tired of the top-down-classic-rpg-esque stuff? Like, PoE1 relied heavily on nostalgia still, which then everyone got their fair share fulfilled with. Also we got the new Torment game, which also kinda ran into the same direction. So at the end of the day, I really think the majority of generic players just were tired of it or thought it's going to be just more of the same. Then again, if I remember right, they decided later to do full voice acting for PoE2, which sure as **** was not cheap. So this probably also blew up the budget crazy high and then caused unrealistic expectations?
  9. I mean, they did show mars' effects in season 5 more extensively. There was Bobby's arc, and Alex seeing it as well. I don't think it was necessary to go over it again in season 6. We got earth in the beginning of s6 now, which was lacking a lot in s5 (Amos' arc was supposed to show that, but imo it didn't really work well). My problem with the "tricking" at the end of s6 is that this was a *huge* gamble... just to even get into that position. It made for a better show, but the "realism" went a bit stray there, I'd say. However, I still think it's good the way it is. Probably going to binge-watch s6 again this weekend, now that it is completed.
  10. I kinda like the art style, which is why I started watching it for a few minutes, then I kinda got into it. Now if just it wouldn't all be so damn stupid and cringe. Also the japanese obsession with super sized boobs is kinda bleh.
  11. Oh, I watched that as well, the first two episodes at least.
  12. I randomly stumbled over "How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?" and it's just lol. Of all the things JoJo did, it really got me into this Gym Gods stuff.
  13. Finally watched the final episode of The Expanse. I had pushed it away quite a few times and was still hesitant to start watching it, because I didn't want it to stop. Was a great episode. Whole s6 is fantastic, imo. In general this is one of the rare shows that are good from beginning to the very end. Seriously, there is nothing I really have to complain about. S5 had some slow meh moments with all the Naomi stuff, and s6 could really use 3 more episodes, but all in all it's just great. Now let's hope we will get more Expanse. Maybe not next year, but maybe the year after ... or after that ... please.
  14. Damn, the latest season of Archer is probably the best in years. Some real fun episodes, with nice character progressions.
  15. This is beyond funny now. Actually this is kinda funny ... since the announcement of the game, lots of cool sci-fi stuff came out, which now made me really hate the "space ships are ships in space" trope. I'd rather have more realistic space ship designs, with less windows and stuff like that. In a way, space ships should be more like submarines, and Star Citizen doesn't have that at all. So tl;dr - I'm kinda not even motivated anymore to actually play the game due to the super unrealistic ship designs.
  16. I swear to god, with every new chapter of One Piece, the "plot" gets bigger.
  17. Turkish Rambo is better then every Rambo movie after that. Especially Rambo 5 triggered the hell out of me.
  18. Jeez, did you research all that right now or do you just copy&paste
  19. Well, that was more a rhetoric question. I always find it funny when americans have to americanize movies for their market.
  20. Why do they need to make a remake of that
  21. I am at 558 now, but I've started at 450+ or so, basically what I remembered from when I stopped watching this in tv 10 years ago. Most of the episodes are only 15 mins if you skip intro + recap, so you're burning through episodes quite fast
  22. I'm watching One Piece for the plot. The plot: Funny enough, that's exactly the episode where I am right now.
  23. I totally forgot about Pig. Watched it yesterday finally and now I understand what people mean with "anti-John Wick" .. Was never able to imagine what the hell that is supposed to mean. Now I'm happy that I avoided all and every spoilers about this movie.
  24. Watched Venom 2 yesterday, but I was so tired I fell asleep in the middle. So I went back to it today and watched it again. Good movie, especially because it is more "small scale" and doesn't deal with the usual world destruction stuff. Still, while watching I was thinking they should make a tv show about a construction crew in the Marvel universe, who constantly have to deal with all the destruction in the city.
