  1. But that is already very low modding stuff. :> If you do simple things, the GECK is the way to go. The problem is more all that deeper scripting that really can mess up your game. There was a Morrowind mod years ago, that - I think - added some hats or what to npcs, always when there was rain weather. The result of that was a memory issue that destroyed peoples savegames-- the savegames couldn't be repaired, so reloading a save where the mod was not used has been the only possible solution. (Fun fact: Bethesda introduced the same bug with one of their later Addons as well. The modder at least could then provided a fix pretty fast.) /Edit: I think it had something to do with unique IDs in the game. There was or is only a limited amount of them-- the amount is big, but sooner or later you hit the maximum and then the game will crash.
  2. Dumbing down modding is the solution.
  3. I doubt that the spoken dialogue is so long that it increases your playtime for hours.
  4. Except the publisher, as DLCs bring more money. :> I'd like to see improvements to the multiplayer first. I just need two things anyway: 1. a camera that isn't fixed on all player characters and 2. a bigger radius in which the players can walk around without stopping anyone.
  5. I've got approx 15 hours for the first playthrough and I think I've been pretty fast already. Didn't explored anything and have done only sidequests that I've found on my way through the gameworld.
  6. Never played it, but judging by screenshots and videos, wasn't the combat totally different as well? Is it even possible to compare both games at all?
  7. Obsidian makes un-american games, obviously they aren't patriots!
  8. I hope that my game will stop crashing my computer in bluescreen color. FNV is really the only game that makes my (not very old) graphic card to go totally rampage.
  9. I loved Shadow Warrior. Never finished it, but it was pretty cool. Better than Duke 3d, imo.
  10. I finished the game and didn't got a single achievement (that I am aware of). :>
  11. But they have new, blue lights! /Edit: I am more sick of the doors and door frames. I just hate them.
  12. Wasn't it only in VATS-mode, not in the "normal" one? I seem to remember that Todd didn't liked it if his guns don't hit, so actually except their natural spread, they hit.
  13. Because it might be released not before september?
  14. If anyone wonders how this feels connected (I was searching first too :>)...
  15. If it was in range and not blocked by punny objects, I've always hit what I had in my crosshair. (edit: Except natural gun-spread that had nothing to do with characters skill, of course.)
  16. Was pretty clear that OWB won't arrive anymore this month. @Enoch: Looks to me like a normal floor with strange lightning. Doubt it's any puzzle.
  17. The only Fallout game that needs Steam is New Vegas. That's hardly "traditionally." :>
  18. Its never cool, no matter where you are on the ladder. You know, this always brings up one question in my: Why work there at all? If it is so bad and sucks, why doing it? It's not like one is forced to work as game dev in whatever position. Is someone standing behind your back with a baseball bat and as soon as you think about quitting, hammers it into your face? There was a video not a so long time ago. It was showing two robots that are talking about being a game dev- the smaller one was the youth who wanted to work there and the bigger one was the one who got a job already. So the small robot was yelling all the time how cool it would be and that he is so creative and whatever else and the bigger robot always told him how bad everything is. While the video was receptioned very well everywhere, because of it's truth, it questions me why the fuu the people don't switch their jobs if it is so damn bad.
  19. Gamedev stuff is only cool if you aren't one of the many who work at the bottom of the ladder.
  20. Maybe they discuss Fallout 4. I know, I know.
  21. I don't really care about the faction mechanics in FNV nor do I think they are so super cool. What I personally think is the best thing in FNV is that everything makes sense and is explained in a logical way. Nothing is there for the lulz or sake of it, which is very important to me. The same goes to DS3, imo. I didn't found anything in the game so far that made me think "wait, what? Why the hell is *that* happening now?" Especially regarding motivations of npcs, the game is pretty detailed, I'd say.
  22. Yes, I felt the same. Better than other generic stuff, but not *that* good.
  23. This. I felt DS3 has a perfect lenght. I wouldn't want it to be longer and in the end I was quite happy that I've finally finished it. The lenght of the game really doesn't make it better or worse. After all, what worth is it to have a game that is 60 hours long, if you are annoyed by it after 20 hours. A game should always end short before it is getting tedious.
  24. lolz, I always wondered how I can use the third, defensive skills. Now I see that it's on blocking. Damn, either I've been blind at the beginning when the tutorial popups came or I don't know. Well, at least now I know for sure that you don't need them to finish the game.
  25. I don't think you can refund a steam game, can you? The devs are working on a patch, which might make it possible to assign keys.
