Afaik Avellone is working on this prey game. So basically Avellone works for Bethesda now, or at least zenimax. Lel.

Gotta pull up that thread. PTU 2.4 is out now. Have to say that - despite the million bugs - it already feels like a real game now. They also added the first huge multi-crew ship which is... huge. You can really get lost in its corridor system.

What if the Lawrence video is embarrassing for her too. Who are you to judge what is embarrassing for people and what is not?
-
Me neither and I don't get what the fuzz is about her.

Damn. So I could as well just have finished the main quest and therefore saved the grind of leveling up. Oh well, gonna stop with Blood and Wine then and wrap up that stuff first.
-
Can you continue the game after finishing the main story? I was under the impression that I should do the DLCs before the main story ends, because... it would end the game.

..and all this from borrowing your friends game for a few hours a couple of months back. You probably have a very low standard in games if you can't see such flaws in but a few hours of playtime. Besides, there are more than enough comments from other players about the same issues.

I don't think "a few tweaks" are what would save Fo4. This game requires a total overhaul, starting with the horrible interface (perk screen wtf), the way dialogue works (always repeating lines, no choice at all), and this total Borderlands-feel, which - in my opinion - is highly unsuitable for a Fallout game (the way quests work, respawning loot dungeons and what not else). Eh, I also really can't stand this humanoid android theme and the lack of any real roleplaying, but that again is a matter of taste, I'll guess. By now I think Fo3 is a better Fallout game than Fo4, and that really shows a lot....

This Gaunter 'o Dimm in Hearts of Stone reminds me a lot of the man in black from Stephen King's Dark Tower. The names are similar, the behavior, the tricks and even the way he talks is how I imagined him. Heh, had this impression right from the start and now that I am uncovering his background, it's really awful similar.

Skyrim had some nice atmosphere and environment, which made the game kinda fun despite it being a horrible rpg. Mods helped too, of course. Can't say the same about Fallout 4, personally. It's the biggest Bethesda turd since Oblivion, imo and not even power armor can save that.

I totally forgot this game exists. Also now that I've remembered, I also remember Avellone was writing a novella about Wasteland 2- did they ever release this thing? /Edit: Last news about it was 2 years ago.

The trailer is well done, imo. The game probably won't be, though. :> /Edit: About skin colour- I never really cared about such stuff in games. If nobody would write about this, I'd probably never even think about it. Like, if Geralt would have been black since the beginning, I would still play the games. Or that one GTA game with a black character- if I remember right, it's one of the most popular GTA games. I'd say people are too fast blaming failure of games on such stuff, while it probably failed more likely due to bad gameplay.

How can there be no water in the entire town and nobody knows why.

Ah, Total War. Some things never change. When I played the Gaul campaign for Rome 2, at some point I reached a state where every ai had the maximum amount of spy and hero agents, and they were all harassing my cities. Every turn I had to spend all my money on removing / stopping / converting them. I've had to work more with the agents than with actual army and combat. It became so annoying that I've downloaded a mod that stopped the enemy agent spam, which drastically increased the gaming experience for me...

Hmm that would be good. I was wondering why there is so much lvl 30+ stuff (gear, etc.) in the game, while the main quest right now tells me it is made for lvl 22. Also there are no new message board quests for me, except two or three which are also around lvl 30. I don't know, maybe I did the quests in the wrong order or something. Was doing quite a bunch of low level quests shortly before starting the DLC, and all of them gave me like what, 2 xp or something... that's basically nothing. Well, at least money isn't an issue for me anymore.

Started Hearts of Stone now, because I think I've done most of the stuff in the main game up until the point where the endgame is going to start (bring all the friends to witcher castle). Have to say that toad boss battle was the hardest one I had to get through yet... had to reload a truckton of time, and I play in god damn story mode... the loading times were the worst. Finally beat that damn thing with cursed oil + a decoction that gave me vitality whenever I used anything stamina draining. Basically I was jumping around, hitting every once in a while and whenever possible spammed Quen... Before I had this fight I was actually thinking about switching the difficulty to a lil bit higher again, but now... nope. Stays in story mode.

Never watched the goonies. Should I still, or am I too old now?

There have been worse, imo.

Tanoa, the terrain of the next ArmA3 addon is available on the dev-branch since yesterday. As far as I can tell so far, it's basically their most pretty creation to date. Also at least without any AI on the map I belong to the 60fps master race, wherever I look and go. Some dude made a truckton of screenshots. http://imgur.com/a/pwxaz /Edit: Tried some of my custom missions on Altis, where I always had a few performance drops, and even there I belong to 60fps master race now. Their performance optimization efforts are really showing.

Got myself the Ursine / bear school set now. It's like the most pretty armor I've found so far. Kinda sucks for it is a heavy armor, as I usually don't wear them heavy stuff... but because of the way it looks, I totally have to. Now I can't spam signs anymore, though. :€

Indeed, Risen 2 already had guns instead of bows. Totally forgot about that one.

Oh yeah, we've got plenty of fantasy RPGs which try to mix things up in their world-building. I mean, it would be a shame if majority of them was 'your generic fantasy 101' or something, right? :-P It highly depends on what they do with it of course, but while this idea is not anything original or innovative at all, there's a lot you can do with it - and I'm still waiting for a game to use such a mix to its full potential. It just screams generic Elder Scrolls with a sprinkling of generic sci fi, but maybe it'll be good(for you). It probably plays like Risen 2 / 3 where bows and crossbows are replaced with guns. To be honest, I don't feel much motivation to try the game. Didn't even touched Risen 3 yet... Kind of a shame. The Gothic games were awesome and even Risen 1 was p.cool in comparison, but all in all it just went downhill.

I play Witcher 3 on everything maximum for hours. If I sit next to my computer after that (I play with gamepad on the couch), I am getting some hot feet, though. Kind of a bad timing to play the game in our current weather situation (up to 30°C outside), but 'I just can't stop. /Edit: I still find some thinks in the game weird as hell. Like for example, why do I change the item description text size in the inventory and not in the game options, as is usually done? Are some people constantly changing that?? Also, why can I still not increase the subtitle text size? On PC it is all fine and stuff, but on the TV occasionally I've got some real problems with my eyes.

I'll start with the first DLC as soon as I've hit the required level. Shouldn't take that much time anymore. Heard only good about the two DLCs so far.

Finally made it to Skellige. The game is still kinda crushing me with its size, but the way the quests are setup is exactly how I think it should be. The game doesn't force me to randomly wander the lands, I find quests on my way to other quest locations, which then send me to yet another quest location, etc. Always hated the Bethesda approach with a few quests in every corner of the world and the rest is up to you randomly falling into generic copy&paste dungeons.
