  1. My worst issue with PoE was the rtwp combat. I just hate that stuff, because no matter what, I always end up with "mark all, click enemy, hope for the best".
  2. I should stop reading this thread before watching the episode.
  3. Weird, I had no problem with all of them. Also I didn't talked to all of them every day (there was no need to- and when something important happens, they come to you). Had great fun with Dead State, though, yes, fewer characters would have been better. Also they made NPCs walk around the base, without giving them nametags... result was obvious: I've spend way too much time trying to find certain NPCs, which was annoying as hell. And I think the ending came way too fast. First there was nothing for a few weeks, because apparently I've looted the locations way too efficient, and then suddenly "hurry up, it's thy endgame tyme!"
  4. Wondered why the steam store is crapped again. Checked mainpage. Summer sale started. Of course...
  5. The general story, yeah, like this dude in that yt video said. My post was only about the character Gaunter 'o Dimm. I've never read Faust, so no idea if a character with the same "feeling" appears there.
  6. What I've asked myself all the time while the battle: Why the hell does the giant not haul stones or something at the enemy? Why doesn't he grab the punny spears and throw around some people? Why didn't he pick up anything, like all the bodies, and hauled it over the lines? They could have more or less easily broke that circle, if he had hauled some dudes into it. Instead he stands there, waves his arms a lil bit and looks like a big, dumb fool. (probably to save on CGI costs? It really looked like he couldn't grab a single *not moving* spear in front of him) /edit: And in the end it felt to me like they killed the giant to save future cgi costs, or so they don't have to use him in a future plot. Heh. :D
  7. Btw. funny how the attack of the masters accidentally happened shortly before our never-learing-queen-of-dragons arrived with her army. Especially funny considering if the masters had not attacked before, she probably would have fkd everything or at least something up on her own, with her new shiny army and zero gained knowledge in anything. It was basically a writers ploy to get out of the "peace for years situation", which they would have fallen into. I mean, all in all the episode was entertaining to watch. It's just these very stupid moments they *have* to add into every episode now. Almost as if they are doing this on purpose.
  8. I am doing nothing but ArmA3 again. Damn. Also, still love the Kamysh.
  9. On a scale of 1 to 10, how dumb can Jon Snow still become?
  10. Played Blood Dragon for about 5 minutes, then quit and never touched it again. I really hate "the feeling" of these Ubisoft shooter (FarCry, etc). Don't know what exactly it is... they just feel weird. The movement, the gunplay, no idea.
  11. Yes, yes, of course it was. Especially now, when everyone and their dog is releasing remakes of old movies in a trilogy package... :> I don't mind them ignoring the tv show. What I always hated in the tv show was the lack of egypt-style coolness from the original movie.
  12. Maybe it's american humour then, dunno. For me, 99% of the jokes didn't trigger any reaction.
  13. Watched Deadpool yesterday and wow... This was bad. Only funny scene was the one with Ikea, imo. Rest of the movie I was sitting there like | I don't get why everyone praised this movie so hard. Most of the time I just thought "man, can he shut the f up for once??" don't know, maybe I am getting too old and kids love this kind of stuff. Now that I think about it, maybe only the kids praised the movie so hard? After all, it's the internet and we never really know how old someone is. Or it was nothing but well done marketing on websites like imgur and 9gag.
  14. For me the best example was in Dragon's Dogma - I spent hours just wandering the wilderness and finding what was there in the day, then at night and even once I knew, sometimes I'd just go wander again because I enjoyed the combat and the locations. Maybe I simply see games in "other ways". Because when I wander around in such an open world and see - for example - two NPCs chatting, then I don't see two NPCs chatting, but a tiny scripted event that always will be the same. Or when I see a group of bandits in a cave, then I see mere mobs placed there trying to entertain me with loot and combat. I can really feel walking into a simple trigger as soon as something happens around me. It's the same to me for every open world game, even in Witcher 3, which I otherwise find to be a great game.
  15. Imo the problem with current "open world" games is that they are nothing but a big game world with random foes around every corner and dumb fetch quests that send you over half the map. Except for that, the game world is actually pretty empty. Let's take The Division for example. If you remove the missions from that game, you'll have a huge empty city in which you can walk around... and randomly shoot some pointless stuff. Sure the graphics are nice and there are some well done ambient animations with civilians, but other than that, the city offers really nothing at all. Even stuff like GTA 5 is the same, except for a few minigames here and there. I mean, does anyone boot up such a game and then think "man, I am so damn immersed in this huge city!111" ? For me it's usually... "ok, let's open the map. I am here, quest markers are there... let's go." and then I follow the dotted line on the minimap, usually not even watching what's going on around my player character. (This is how I spend time in Witcher 3. Honestly, at some point I've noticed that I am more focused on following the line on the minimap than anything else)
  16. All new ArmA3 Apex content (except campaign) can be checked out in a new steam beta branch. Also release date is July 11th, which is awesome because it's in my vacation time.
  17. PC Gaming Show life stream is running right now. Watching it since over half an hour and so far I have yet to see a game that would interest me. Either all games are the same boring crap or people are just bad at making good trailers. Not exactly sure about it. The new Mount & Blade was the best looking one so far, imo. Also, in approx 10 minutes some new stuff from ArmA3's Apex expansion should be shown. That's basically the only reason why I am forcing myself through this.
  18. Afaik Avellone is working on this prey game. So basically Avellone works for Bethesda now, or at least zenimax. Lel.
  19. Gotta pull up that thread. PTU 2.4 is out now. Have to say that - despite the million bugs - it already feels like a real game now. They also added the first huge multi-crew ship which is... huge. You can really get lost in its corridor system.
  20. What if the Lawrence video is embarrassing for her too. Who are you to judge what is embarrassing for people and what is not?
  21. Me neither and I don't get what the fuzz is about her.
  22. Damn. So I could as well just have finished the main quest and therefore saved the grind of leveling up. Oh well, gonna stop with Blood and Wine then and wrap up that stuff first.
  23. Can you continue the game after finishing the main story? I was under the impression that I should do the DLCs before the main story ends, because... it would end the game.
  24. ..and all this from borrowing your friends game for a few hours a couple of months back. You probably have a very low standard in games if you can't see such flaws in but a few hours of playtime. Besides, there are more than enough comments from other players about the same issues.
  25. I don't think "a few tweaks" are what would save Fo4. This game requires a total overhaul, starting with the horrible interface (perk screen wtf), the way dialogue works (always repeating lines, no choice at all), and this total Borderlands-feel, which - in my opinion - is highly unsuitable for a Fallout game (the way quests work, respawning loot dungeons and what not else). Eh, I also really can't stand this humanoid android theme and the lack of any real roleplaying, but that again is a matter of taste, I'll guess. By now I think Fo3 is a better Fallout game than Fo4, and that really shows a lot....
