RAND0M VIDE0 GAME NEW5
Kinda tempting, because RDO will be free, and apparently it's a lot better now than on start. But just thinking about having to grind up to level x again... ugh. /edit: Oh no, on Steam a full month later?! What kind of madness is this! Such disgrace! Shame! tbh, I don't mind Steam getting some competition. Maybe that will better the Steam service in the long run.

Backup drive needed
Oi fellow Obsidianites, I'm working with large files (~8gb) and I need a place to backup them daily. Thought about an external drive, but I'm unsure what to go for here. It needs fast reading / writing speed and it shouldn't get too hot when files get copied (had that issue with an old external hdd.. the hotter it got, the slower the data transfer.. impossible to work with). Something about 500gb should cover my needs for now. Best would be if I could simply hook it behind my router as well, so that others could access it via internet connection. Anyone got ideas?

New Scientific Discoveries, Part Drei
I was really excited about the mars landings at first, but the more I've learned about mars, moon, and space in general.... the more I feel like it's not something we should do right now. Real habitable space stations with artificial gravity seems much more sound - the only problem is from where to get the materials to build them (can't ship everything from earth, it'd be too much and too expensive).

Damn, for a moment I thought they released a new Homeworld 3 video...

The Blockbuster Oscar Bait Movie Thread
Huh haven't seen / heard of Jennifer Lopez in ages. Just watched latest Spiderman. Pretty good, imo. As I understood it, there will be one more movie but then all bets are off? Kinda sucks, as I find the Tom Holland Spiderman movies to be much better than that other Marvel stuff.

What are you playing now: The New Thread
I still haven't finished Witcher 3's Blood and Wine dlc. The game looks great and I love the characters, but I just can't get warm with the gameplay. It took me a while to realize, but.... the game is boring me to death. Now if I compare that to MGS5, which has a retarded story and is pretty lol half the time... but I can't stop playing that game. It's so much fun just doing whatever. The gameworld and gameplay is simply fun to toy around with. I'm pretty sure if I would boot up that game now and do one of the first missions again, I'd be hooked and won't touch anything else for at least the next two days.

What game did you bought last?
Jesus, $60 😄 I thought they proclaimed everywhere the game is smaller than usual? Price-wise apparently not. Meh, unless it gets blazing reviews, I likely won't bother with it anyway until god knows how much time has passed... We'll see I guess.

What game did you bought last?
Ok, so it's not Epic exclusive, but Epic or subscription? ... Nah, ain't my cup of tea.

What game did you bought last?
Is Outer Worlds still Epic exclusive?

Phoenix Point, the next game from X-COM creator Julian Gollop, now on Fig
Sounds more like a bug to me if this hasn't happened before. I can't imagining them adding so much stuff that loading times suddenly blow out of proportions like that.

Finished the Dark Crystal. What I didn't liked was... Also these "rotate around character / object" camera scenes felt cheap and weirdly unfitting to me. Other than that I loved the show. Loved the visuals and the world and how stuff was setup. It's just fantastic. Haven't seen a show like that in a long while. As far as I am aware, there is nothing about a season 2 yet, but considering this one gets praised hard everywhere, I'm assuming it's going to happen.

They mixed in animatronics and cgi. As far as I can tell, all the close ups are puppets while everything else is cgi. Personally I have no problems with that - the show looks really great. Got two more episodes to go. Love it a lot so far.

That first Dark Crystal episode was really damn good. I seriously want to keep watching now.

Do they show them all at once or once per week? Don't really want to pick it up if it isn't fully available yet. /Edit: Looks like everything is out already. Cool.

RAND0M VIDE0 GAME NEW5
I'm not even talking about total conversions. A map and / or mission editor would have helped a lot already.

DoK kinda died because there is no modding. Big shame, because mods for that title would likely have been awesome.- RAND0M VIDE0 GAME NEW5
Reminds me that I actually never finished Homeworld 2. After playing through Homeworld 1 and Deserts of Kharak I wanted to take a short break but then somehow got distracted.- TV and Streaming: The Thread
Just finished watching Preacher season 3. Season 2 was a real boring and annoying turd that killed all my interest in the show. I've only ended up watching season 3, because there was nothing else right now and I had a desperate amount of boredom in me. Now as it turns out, season 3 is actually pretty good again and I don't regret having picked it up again. In fact, I'm not kinda tensed to see how everything continues in season 4.- Music: Listening and Sharing
New Tool release is finally out and it is epic. Sadly only 7 songs, though.- Music: Listening and Sharing
Loved The Downward Spiral. Also The Fragile and all the remix stuff that was released. Think I own almost all of the special releases, except for a few weird japanese versions. However I could never really get warm with The Fragile cd2. Nowadays... feels like NIN sounds too much the same. I mean, the new releases sound different, but I could swear there's always the same elements and that makes it so used up to me. The soundtracks are all good, but also always the same style... that doesn't help it much either. Generally I haven't been excited for a new release in years.- The Blockbuster Oscar Bait Movie Thread
So I watched Avengers Endgame now and... It was ok I guess. Seems I'm really not the type for these movies, because as always, I don't get what all the hype was about. It's not a bad movie, but didn't felt like the next coming of christ either.- RAND0M VIDE0 GAME NEW5
So Mirror's Edge with swords? Oh, and I've just released my latest pet project. - RAND0M VIDE0 GAME NEW5
