Woke up today feeling especially demotivated, although considering my normal levels that doesn't seem possible. But at least the weekend's sort of close.

Well it shouldn't be too hard to screw up, just don't make dramatic changes and ta-da. SMAC with updated graphics and some of the stuff from Civ 4 would be good even if it's not revolutionary. But then again... Heh, maybe Shafer will work on it

Did you play it after the first patch Gorgon ? The game seemed easier after that. I must have low standards I suppose, but I found the game pretty fun - combat did take some time to get used to but it was kind of cool at times, I still preferred the styles from the first. Well, here's hoping they listen to the negative feedback.

There were some brilliant interviews with rioters yesterday on BBC. The "we'll respect you when you respect us back" and "Well we're showing them (rich?) that we can do what we like" ones were the most amusing.

Really ? My friends going for M.ASc/Ph.D have nothing but positives about it. Mind you, is Engineering so they're used to the workload from undergrad, heh. Am amazed at how douchebag-ey the suits are in this building, one was yelling the girl in the coffee shop because...she didn't know where some office in the building was, heh. At least watching her shrug in response was a nice start to the day.
