  1. This popped back into my head today
  2. Aren't gang members really victims of social injustice that disenfranchises them and pushes them to a life of crime as they are ostracized and isolated due to racial or soci-economic factors ? Should probably stop killing them in GTA. I guess games should portray reality ?
  3. If they get rid of prostitutes ? Nope it wouldn't change it. That isn't his point, his point is why it is needed - else he's trying some "why not?" argument, which is very poor. I did get a laugh at some comments on that - one suggested a permanent wanted level for offing hookers
  4. I did read the whole article, he doesn't really give a good answer other than indicating he has some issues with hookers. You can kill them just like anyone else - GTA's freedom to go on rampages is part of the fun of the series - but you don't have to do so to progress the completion of the game. Killing an NPC hooker is indeed just the same as killing any other NPC - these things aren't real, I really hope he is aware of that. If killing virtual hookers is bad though for whatever reason (I guess perception of them will be the best shot he can offer) - how can he be okay with killing NPCs with glasses ? elderly ones ? ANY NPC ?
  5. https://archive.today/1DbIe This was pretty funny. I am not sure the game is especially reveling in the deaths of hookers versus other NPCs (you get money from them regardless, right?)
  6. Agreed, nothing lasts forever. Fortunately Im not worried about forever. Im worried about the here and now that I live in and currently theres nobody that can take the US down. If we wait long enough, approximately 7.6 billion years, the sun will become a red giant and engulf the Earth. Hahahaha, suck it China. Think it's 4 or 5. Saw a show once detailing what might happen, was rather neat when it got to the planetary firestorm that results from a resurgence of oxygen into the atmosphere.
  7. Snow all over the place here, so as a result the city has stopped working. Pretty lousy day today, have to go the office Christmas dinner tonight, free food is the only good point. Tomorrow off work though, huzzah!
  8. So what do you expect then, as you apparently have the read of this ? Ah, never mind, late refresh. Am not too sure that the US doing shady stuff as every nation has done is a damning indictment of the high level government ideology it follows, though.
  9. US played a different role before it as well. But if you do, then you'll have multiple agencies (even more than now, currently), which is inefficient.
  10. Well his point was basically that nothing lasts forever, so he's right. But even so, the US has done a good job of playing the game post WW2. Testament to power in that the reaction to this will be mainly words from other nations.
  11. Funnily the scuttlebutt is that this is nothing like actual gameplay. Terrible music too.
  12. Well, with Cheney's comments, I suppose it's just moronic management. As for the uses of the prisoners, well I don't imagine they really have much use after everything
  13. The intelligence agency that takes its place would be just as bad - well, unless you think a power like the US has no need of a foreign-targeted intelligence agency
  14. Damn CCP making me resub for a while
  15. Jews, Muslims and Athiests have Good Friday off here as well.
  16. Malc don't you think they should make it mandatory for everyone who doesn't drink that they have to work on the 1st after NY because you guys wouldn't be nursing a hangover ? New Year's Day is a day off here, I assume for that reason.
  17. Sleep and play games, am off from 29-31 and have 25 & 26 off too. Never did get the appeal of NYE, I guess people will take any excuse to party and booze it up.
  18. Game delayed to May 2015 http://thewitcher.com/news/view/906
  19. Got a chuckle out of this old advert
  20. Going with non-smokers is probably more economical in a long term view - cigarettes are expensive and if the relationship progresses to a stage where mutual maintenance is required that can add up.
  21. Sounds like your students are too stupid to pick it up.
  22. Work email archiving is becoming an epic task, with my craptastic PC here. Rather boggling how large my .pst files are, the smallest is 4 gigs. 95% of it is irrelevant too.
  23. http://ca.ign.com/articles/2014/12/06/psx-2014-grim-fandango-remastered-release-date-revealed Jan 27 for the GF remastered release
  24. Human beings are indeed disgusting things
