    Ok, so then it wasn't something of little impact then. What is the issue with the GG thread though, other than images of dumb Twitter postings. The GG one is personal preference. It hurts my head to read it. It's really not that reasonable to go to Obsidian Entertainment's forum to look at pictures of pretty woman. So I don't know why anyone here is surprised that it is shut down. WoT by definition is really not a reasonable part of the forums. They could just shut the whole thing down if they feel it is too controversial. Why is this such a big deal for you guys? You have sooooo many other places devoted to pretty women. Seems then preference should just be employed and it's no problem. Also, all blades are ok until they swing at you, so to speak. It was a popular thread so I guess there was some reason in the pro column, there being other places isn't all that relevant as they can nuke the entire board and not much will be lost.

    Thankfully I didn't have to go with my manager to NY, he was oddly excited but flying to another city isn't really that much fun. But it means I can nap more easily.

    I still have my CDs, so will try those to see if they work at all and if the game can play under W7 (it did under XP for me). Will be nice to play this multiplayer again.

    Hmm... Anyway, I suppose there were some non-PG13 photos there but I guess the objectification of women was offensive to some. Making it seem more professional might be it, at least at a cursory glance. Well, at least we still have the gun thread before that gets nixed for advocating militarism or something.

    I will wait until they release a big patch to fix a list of issues, so really depends on their QA for the exact time. Don't imagine the game will be very broken so much as to make release day playing treacherous so to speak, but never hurts to wait.

    I think Chu tried the same thing, claimed to pulling aggro form (you guessed it) Quinn. I guess he could be doing that. Kind of stupid to come out and say that, just poor craft. It is fun to stoke people to new heights of fury though.

    Ah, but witch hunts are fun and it is fun to guess who would get upset and stamp their foot about the thread at any rate. As for hostility, not really seeing that, people arguing and being snarky as they have been over the last 5 years I've been watching here (though I think someone was whining there was too much bashing of Americans and cops here - the last one is headscratcher).

    So what is wrong with a thread you actively have to avoid ? You do that already with the GG thread (have only mentioned that about 4 or times so far). I didn't browse it at work either, but not a big deal.

    Same decline happened when CmdrTaco left Slashdot. Though it isn't really that bad currently.

    Crafted a bunch of ancient legendaries, turned out mostly to be junk. Feh. I guess I will take a break from D3 until S2 starts
