Burning plastic smell turns out to have come from an external plug that was scorched badly to the point of melting, so that was fun to find out today. Going to be an interesting repair, especially this time of year. Never a dull moment.

There's a mission to wrap up the trilogy in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, so trying to knock off all the DLC missions to unlock it and then I'll put a bow on the game. That mission to return the crab idol to the temple was pretty fun, interesting to see the timing of the flame jets actually does adjust from when you're not in the middle of crossing them (perhaps tied to difficulty ?)

Anything can be used as a bat, though. You haven't lived until you've tried using a 6 year old as one.

I had Friday off so missed out on that excitement. Sure beats debugging missing $0.02 from balance statements...

Star Trek Armada and Armada 2 are added to the catalogue, too. Wasteland 3 at 67% off too, hmm...

And beat the main story in SotTR. Got my money's worth from it, maybe will go back and replay the previous two as well. Last boss fight was annoying in how repetitive it was, running around dodging the boss while dealing with irritating adds, bleh.

Yeah that was well designed, the whole section of being hunted and on the back foot really makes cutting loose and wasting the mercs all the more satisfying, even if it is less.

The oil refinery bit in SoTR was great, starting off with that stealth section, although I cheesed the AI by making them investigate a growing pile of bodies, and culminating in the last part where Lara decides to become the Terminator complete with ominously raising from water silhouetted by an inferno.

Yeah, is a silly thing to nitpick at given Lara's borderline superhuman abilities with her death defying leaps and such.

Temple of the Sun challenge tomb was fun, surprised to read people moaning about it. Sure is convenient that all the indigenous peoples speak English to Lara

Did some of the crypts in SoTR, almost got stuck in one as I wasn't sure that ledge was a ledge I could grab on to. Nice to see they left situations where Lara can die horribly But puzzles were enjoyable enough so far

Did the first challenge tomb in SoTR, was pretty fun. Maybe will turn off the hints, Lara's suggestions get repetitive, hah.

On to Shadow of Tomb Raider, the characters are well animated enough, pretty game to boot. Haven't quite gotten to Lara being Sam Fisher.
