  1. I would suspect that they are working to get the rights to publish most of the better known older games before going after the more obscure titles, if only because there might be a larger market for games like Fallout as opposed to the one for the original Ultima titles.
  2. I agree, there are a few gems, but -as you acknowledged- most games made recently are not worth the discs they're burned on. As for the "Baldur's Gate II is the best RPG" argument, I really don't care; I was not addressing that particular claim, or your rebuttal, but instead was making a general statement. However, if you seek my opinion, I would say that while it, BG2, was certainly a great game and continues to be a classic, it might not be the best role-playing game ever created.
  3. For one, it didn't have 3D graphics. Bah. A game could be 2d and 16-bit and still be better than the majority of modern games.
  4. By Bethy you mean the developers of Fallout, right? No, Bethy is not an abbreviation for Black Isle - what would make you think that?
  5. I doubt I will buy this game, if it ever comes out, as it sounds like the only real reason someone would want to play it is for the nostalgia value and I did not really enjoy the originals.
  6. You can play games on your eee pc, although I think Half Life 2 is the top-end of what people have been able to run.
  7. From what I've read it seems to be a toss-up between the ATI and the nVidia cards. Either one seems like it would work, although I was only able to locate benchmarks for the second card; Here they are:
  8. Well, I'm re-watching the Vice Presidential debate and my first impression, that Biden was the stronger speaker, seems to be correct. Almost every time he made a point and Palin responded with canned responses and Alaskan stories. While this might have given some people an insight into her style, anyone who has read articles about her and listened to recent interviews and speeches would not have learned much, if anything. Talking about the interviews, I was slightly disappointed that there were no entertaining mishaps like the ones in the Katie Couric piece, but in general tonight already confirmed what I had already believed - I would rather have Biden "one heartbeat away" from the presidency, not Sarah Palin.
