In 1996 it was Japan only. Also some Wing Commander IV and Privateer 2 were released in 1996 as well. But no working joystick = no attempt to play them.

Thinking of playing some 1996 games for their 20th anniversary. So Archimedean dynasty, Warcraft 2 with DLC, C&C : red alert , MoO2 and Death race. Maybe even Neverhood. Quake and Duke3d and TR1 don't interest me right now. :D

TR 1 ... i'll always remember the intro and first hours ... and drowning, lots of drowning. I got better at it a year later but still. Drowning while pulling a lever ... it will never fade. -
Stranger things is awesome. also i'd love another season of Voltron too. :S

Games you want that'll likely never exist

To be honest, if they can deliver with the Battletech game, i'd prefer more battletech games first than another Shadowrun. :S -
Playing U4mpo after patch. OCd kicked in and now i'm farming relics to buy a chance for a dlc item. idiotic but i can't help it. It's bette than DS3 ocd, where even if start my n-th character i still pickup and kill everything instead of focusing on making new builds. :/

They own the IP.

So about a 1000 shards, 400 large shards 50 shields 77 helms 57 chests 61 gauntlets 60 leggins circa 280000 souls and just 7 hours according to ingame timer ( felt like 12 hours alltogether over 2 days) later, finally. FU adhd and a big FU to From Soft But now i have darkmoon blade. hooray. -
ah Last revenant with it's faux tactics combat. The more i played it the less i was impressed by it's combat. By the end of the game, i was just breezing through encounters as fast as i could, because otherwise i'd never finish.

I didn't get summoned with +1, +2, +3, +4, +5 or +6 which i have right now. And no matter which level i was 20, 25, 35... to 55 where i'm now ... with 1million souls waiting for level up. If i played on PC i'd just cheat, but on ps4 i really can't. -

Darkmoon covenant. You need 30 to get the last miracle, Darkmoon blade. Wouldn't be such a problem to get if they didn't complicate the covenant bussines with Darkmoon, Sentinels and Way of the blue. Darkmoon is basically Sentinels now, since you only get summoned if a player is part of Way of the blue covenant and he gets invaded. And if he survives long enouhg and you're in level range, there is supposed to be a chance to get summoned. ... It doesn't really work. So the other way to get these items is to farm Silver Knights, the drop is very low. In my case, since i don't have many items to boost item discovery, 1 about in 50-60 kills. :S So if i farm for 15 hours straight i might get all 30 of them. -
Hard is the right difficulty indeed. Challenging enough but not that hard that you couldn't have fun and freeform around the rooms. Yeah, if you take the game for what it is, a throwback to old arcade shooters that you play for highscore, you'll have lots of fun with it. Challenges are there for when you feel you've got the hang of the game. ANd god hard is there so that it's a japanese game :D :D. Don't know about doom but yeah Uncharted 4 hard has some difficult encounters, but that's also because of the design. The combat set pieces are so few nad so much adventuring in between, that you can't really get into the combat enough when it's already over. Also in some encounters they just give you so much terrain to exploit for stealth take-downs that when you arrive to another encounter where you can't do any of that, you don't really know where to start or you start in the middle of the firefight and you can't hide anymore. And the encounter i least like is the final boss battle. I mean, people complain about the prequels but at least there boss fights are just doing what you did the whole game. In u4 they just give you a brand new mechanic at the end of the game for some reason, and while on lower difficulties you can just smash through it, on hard and especially on crushing it becomes a chore. I even used slow motion cheat on crushing and it still was a chore.

Wanted ot play some Ds3 again but the broken Darkmoon and Aldritch covenants just drained all will out of me. I'll never get the Darkmoon blade at this rate. :/

Especially the Untended graves, for Smouldering Lake and Archdragon peak you get plenty of hints.

LOL capra demon, and probably the patched version. And why should dual wielding in ds2 be better than in Ds3? Besides there was no dual wielding until ds2 anyway. Using a basic attack with the weapon in your left hand doesn't not mean dual wielding. Power stance was mess. Sure you could dual wield anything with 1.5 str requirements but it was really unbalanced. The best combos were so op in PVE that even covenant of champions didn't help, not even upgrading bonfires to increase difficulty in area could stop some combos. While others just looked promising but sucked. Also a sword and a hammer and you'd play with a sword move set. Ds3 improved on this very much. No extra requirements or damage, only a few weapons to make it interesting and a fluid transition between 1h and dual wielding. So again why is dual wielding in ds2 better?

Well the game had to be done in 2 years, because suits decided that they'll release it on 11.11.11 Also some stages were there just to show of the improved engine so the story had to fit them in ( ship graveyard and the cruise ship stand out too much in the story, despite great design ). To top it all off effing Peter Jackson had to start making Hobbit during development of U3 so Graham McTavish ( Cutter and of course Lazarevic in U2) was only available for a short time, because he was cast in Hobbit in a pretty big role.
