  1. I doubt they'd announce anything until they have something to show, established IP and all - New IP's are hard to get traction on. Having worked on a couple of new IP's myself. For example nobody has mentioned the project I am on now, and that's related to getting public awareness. I think CD Projekt are doing the right thing with Cyberpunk. Very much the kind of approach Obsidian are taking with PE - people certainly know about the game now right? But there isn't much to show, a piece of concept art, and lots of mechanics talk.
  2. It's clearly very very early during development. He did mention something like that they were testing to see if there was a market, that they'd be overwhelmed by the response they've had, and also that they're wanting to work with the community. It seems really early in development, it's rare that anyone even talks about a project this early on, a lot of projects that are this early don't even receive announcement. I don't think we'll be seeing this one in the next couple of years. I get the impression that as soon as they're satisfied they'll likely show more and more of the game collecting feedback as they go.
  3. http://www.gog.com/news/come_watch_gogcom_live_on_18_october_2012_at_1800_gmt Seem's they'll be some details released about this today.
  4. NWN2, when I can get to the computer - Missus' playing 'The Witcher', she keeps swearing about some swamp. Amusing it is .
  5. I found your problem. You're not still evangelising Python, hell next you'll tell me you think Javascript is awesome. C++ or fail dude. >Insinuating C++ is the king of all languages >2012 Yeah I know no green text here. I could equally say to you ASM or fail dude. But I am sure that you may lie about knowing ASM fully just like your claim to invent the crate 3.0 technology which is car engine tech, which wasn't invented by a Swedish man, just sayin' *sigh* ... Really... Nice try.
  6. I wouldn't be concerned about any of those things, final artwork won't be locked until beta so don't worry about the Asteroid artwork. Nothing you'll have seen is final at all. I'm sure there will be ship options - I agree the tier's have nothing on PE, so you don't get much for your buck in that respect. I'd be shocked if they don't hit their target, you also have to bare in mind that they have investment, the crowd-funding aspect is more about proving the market for the game to investor's than anything else. He said as much in his talk yesterday. We'll see on the dynamic economy front, I imagine it'll work out - has done in other games. I don't see your concerns as actually being that big of a deal, all of which I imagine will be addressed during and through the coarse of development.
  7. Yes, it's not very good. Stuart Black was also involved, one of the many projects he's bailed on.
  8. And your sceptical opinion is based on what?
  9. Well Project Eternity started around the end of the month, ala pay-day kind of time. I think in 10-20 days you'll see a lot more money being plugged into Star Citizen.
  10. Looks amazing. I'll be buying! I haven't been excited about a game like I am this one since BG2

  12. I've heard that before but posting there I never got it. Was it the fact we all tended to be in on the same jokes? Were people actively rude or uninviting? You were either liked or disliked. Funnily enough it seemed to be on if the girls signed off on you or not. It wasn't that bad. There were some people who absolutely hated my guts but for me it was all comedy. I'd been a happy little troll back in the day, as you can tell... Not so much anymore.
  13. Huh... From what I've heard, Dredd is an excellent Dredd movie, if not so much an excellent movie.
  14. Oh man... Why'd you have to go remind me tarna's unwell. What the hell happened to Di? Bah, funny times - I was an angry child back in the BIS days - Good to see people like LC still kicking around. Missy's Lair was weird though I remember that place being very... Cliquey.
  15. I may have to check that out, but I have to be honest, I never thought too highly of the Badger engine.
  16. Icewind Dale, lots of fun, it hasn't aged too well... What I wouldn't give for an updated version, its the GUI that holds it back. I'm having a lot of fun with it though, it's a nice way to blow off some steam in the evenings.
  17. XCOM as a shooter was always stupid. Much like some other game...
  18. Don't you guys keep all the crazies in Alberta... And what's with all the seriously messed up corruption, and separatism in Quebec? Seriously though, Canada got problems too, like just about anywhere else on this planet.
  19. They're not lazy, they just want to do things right. And that takes time. Valve > Starbreeze. Obviously they're not lazy! Geez!
  20. ??? It is a joke... FYI. Well, this stuff is kind of difficult to get on the Internet and you're not new to controversial opinions about successful developers, so it doesn't really hurt to aks. Not at all... It's mostly because they have as much time as they need to develop their games, something which very very few companies have the pleasure of. So obviously they're lazy, and need to stop taking so much time over making HL3 ;-)
