True, it is a sort of social darwinism working there. The more destructive civilizations will eventually consume themselves while stronger, more level minded and peaceful societies will slowly continue to rise. I do suspect that, if the human race survives in the next century or three, Alanschu's female cousin will be the norm while those like us, who like violent video games, movies, and literature, will not.

I can understand her view on the matter, but as a whole the human race is violent, virulent, and can be a tad sadistic at times. I think expressing such destructive behavior through literature, film, and video games is more healthy than going out and ripping out the guts of gophers. Of course there are individuals who have elevated themselves from the need for base carnage in any form, at it seems that your female cousin is one of those rare individuals. Its nothing bad against her, or yourself. It is just how, as individuals become, things are.

Interplay just needs to die already. Herve Caen mismanaged that company to death. Fallout 3 wasn't even made for the NMA guys nor the COdex people so why should they even give a damn about Fallout any more. Oh, VOlourn, Bethesda > Interplay because Bethesda actually have made games that SELL! What has Interplay have done in the last few years in terms of released games? Nothing of note.

I could never kill Umbra at level 1. I am playing a Breton, with all Mage skills, except Alchemy. I replaced Alchemy with Blades. I am playing the console version with all the DLCs and the Expansion. I have 85 hours under my belt and currently level 30. My blades and Light Armor skill are at decent levels, thanks to the Arena for the initial boosts, and due to the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves' Guild my Sneak, Security, and Illusion got pretty high quickly. Illusion was the first skill I mastered.

I find Oblivion a pretty fun game. At least on the console. In the Mages' Guild end quest I infiltrated the Necromancers' lair, pretty much back stabbed every Necromancer then burned their corpse with fire, then took on Mannimarco pretty easily, trapping his soul in a black soul gem. IRONY!. I then dumped his corpse in the nearby water and admired it as it floated away.

I canceled my pre-order when I learned the game was delayed. I don't like to have a pre-order in longer than a month, two at most. I will probably set up my pre-order after the game has been sent tot he printing press this time just in case there is another delay.

So, AP is being sat on so that Sega can to some marketing for the game. Why didn't they do the marketing for the game months ago in anticipation of the game's release? This is stupid.

I have been going through Oblivion. I have so far completed the Arena, The Dark Brotherhood, the Thieves' Guild, the Fighters' Guild, the Mages' Guild, and now doing the Knights of the Nine. After that, only the Shivering Isles and the Main Quest remains.

Obama doesn't scare me one bit. If the Republicans can get a fiscal conservative/social liberal running for president they will have my vote otherwise it is going to Obama. Sarah Palin scares me more than any other candidate and there is no way I will vote for someone like that. That includes Huckabee and Romney.

Come to that we have also yet to see one that proves he's an American. Yes we have.

Come to Iowa. That way I can stow away in your luggage when you go back.
