  1. As being a "victim" of violent crime, which was having a 9mm shoved at my face, I can say wholehearted that I felt great satisfaction when the police arrested the bugger 30 minutes later and got seven years in prison. Rehab never works, will never work, because the essential element is that the criminal has a choice. He or she can choose to be a criminal or a law abiding citizen. No one twists their arm. No one forces them to do criminal acts. Its called free will and those who violate the laws of our society by their own free will should be punished.
  2. It's a worthwhile experience. The SP is short but good and the MP community is active. I just got done playing the game for 40 minutes and holy craptistic on a stick is it intensive. In the middle of the third mission. It is kicking my butt big time.
  3. DO not fall for their evil Rick Rolling! TURN BACK BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
  4. Well, this controversy is actually making me want to play my copy of MW1. I am still wondering why I got it. Haven't even loaded it up since I got it months ago till now.
  5. EA has truly mastered the art of being evil.
  6. Or you pull a guy out of a burning car which then aggravates a spinal injury from the crash and the result makes him paraplegic. That person in turn sues you.
  7. However if he wasn't in there in the first place he wouldn't have gotten killed. If he was forced in the room then the person who forced him in is culpable for the death. If he placed himself in the room then his death is his own damn fault and should be considered a suicide. In either case I would have done nothing to put him or out of danger. One should be able to choose not to act for or against an individual or his or her plight, maintaining a detached neutral stance.
  8. I do think that we need a completely new punishment system in the US that focuses on the the end result of the crime more than the motivation of the crime. I also think that we should have harsher penalties all around on crime. The removal of parole and longer minimal sentences would be a good start. I would break down crimes into 2 groups and 8 catagories: Misdemeanor D: 3 Months in prison, $1000 fine Misdemeanor C: 6 months in prison, $2000 fine Misdemeanor B: 9 months in prison, $4000 fine Misdemeanor A: 1 year in prison, $8000 fine Felony D: 5 years in prison, $100,000 fine Felony C: 15 years in prison, $250,000 fine Felony B: 25 years in prison, $500,000 fine Felony A: Life in prison, $1,000,000 fine. The criminal will serve only the highest level penalty. As for multiple criminal acts in a single crime, 2 misdemeanor Ds make one misdemeanor C, 2 misdemeanor Cs make one Misdemeanor Bs, and so forth and so on. So lets say a person did an criminal act that brings up 3 Misdemeanor Bs, 2 Felony Ds, and a Felony C, the final equation would be 1 Misdemeanor B, 1 Misdemeanor A, and 1 Felony B. Since Felony B is the highest that would be the punishment dished out. Watching a child get killed without doing anything I would measure as a Felony D crime.
  9. But you forget, he wasn't able to do it. It was Mathboy. He put up the appearances of being concern and he had to continue that appearance when Eli blabbered that his calculations could do it.
  10. Sure they took some of the supplies, but I think Rush has figured out that the ship, after it was refueled, would go and get more supplies for the current occupants. Getting rid of 15 notso usefuls at the cost of 2 usefuls would be a good trade. Also it wasn't the only shuttle. There is the one with the dsead senator and given time I am sure he would have figured out how to repair the damage.
  11. Yep. Take Oblivion for example. Plain old Oblivion on XBox Live costs $30. You can get the Game of the Year edition of Oblivion at the store for that price new, maybe less in some other locations.
  12. When it comes to weapons modifications and repair use this mod as an inspirational point please. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3388
  13. PS3 is the Mac of the console world. Nice hardware, but the software conversion is a slow drawn out process. I guess that would make the Wii Linux.
  14. The point of it wasn't for the audience to believe the main ship was to be destroyed but if the shuttle crew would make it back before the ship went into FTL. Do you need everything explained to you?
  15. I think digital distribution is one possible future but there will be people, like myself, who still want physical products for their money. 0's and 1's free. Physical products we spend money on.
  16. Well, blu-ray support may be coming to the XBox 360 via an accessory like the old HD-DVD drive was.
  17. Only time I leave my home is when I go to work or go to the grocery store. Otherwise I stay home.
  18. Why would I use a portable computer? I don't do anything that would require one. The right analog stick can be used as a mouse, and use the chatpad accessory on the controller. The chatpad is a full QWERTY keyboard.
  19. Portability? My computer isn't portable. Its a tower hooked up to my 32" HDTV.
  20. Okay, I got the preview update for the XBox 360 and so far I love it. Not because of the Zune thing. Not because of the Facebook or Twitter thing. The primary reason I love it is for the Last.FM addition. Easy menus, large selection of music, all sorts of good stuff. If they ever put a web browser on the XBox 360 I would never even need to turn on my computer.
  21. T%he definition of murder is the killing of an another individual that is unsanctioned by the state. A state sanctioned killing is not murder. It is an execution.
