Here's another side effect of replacing Americans with foreign workers: http://arstechnica.com/security/2015/06/encryption-would-not-have-helped-at-opm-says-dhs-official/

I am. He's the only one who's not a corporate sell-out. Interesting, so Trump will have his valid suporters The Republican nomination is going to be interesting. WOD you should work on convincing Hurlshot to vote Trump, if you can convince the Californian liberals to vote for him then the battle is basically won. People's Republic of Kalifornia is beyond redemption. The best thing is to give it back to Mexico. Edit: @Hurl Yes, Trump is very rich. Of course we don't want successful people to be President. What we need is a community organizer who's never achieved anything and has no competencies (except lie and get himself elected through lies).

H1B program has always been a complete scam, and should be cancelled. Unfortunately our entire government are a bunch of corporatists, two parties against the people.

Hopefully it won't cost $70 million this time, or it'll never happen.

Never underestimate the arrogance and malfeasance of professional politicians and bureaucrats. Prezbident Obongo himself has openly declared his contempt for our founding documents and considers them roadblocks and obstacles to be overcome. Ruth "Buzzy" Ginsberg and others on the Supreme Court have expressed similar sentiments. They're nothing but Ruling Class vermin and are not to be trusted. It's not a matter of trust but practicality. I'm 100% sure that no one will be busting down your doors to seize your guns. At least not within 100 years. I can't be sure of anything after that. It's pretty simple. What they did in UK was give you a 10 year prison sentence for gun possession. So you can hide your gun, but if they ever find out it's 10 years in prison. Not too many law abiding citizens will take that chance. Sure right now there's no public support to ban guns, but if the Left makes it a priority, and use all their media and entertainment industry assets, they can change that. Senate filibuster is on its way out too, once the same party controls both houses and the presidency. And of course the liberal states would ban guns immediately as soon as the SC lets them, but I'm not too worried about that.
-
Yes, that's the beauty of the Supreme Court, they don't have to worry about anyone's opinion but their own. Although Hurl is right to an extent, it would take Dems awhile to pass national gun control legislation, but they can do it if they prioritize it like Obamacare.
-
May be those are different people.
-
Yeah, one more term for the Democrats and it's almost a certainty they'll replace one of the old Conservatives on the Supreme Court. Then good bye to the Second Amendment. It's almost enough to make me vote for the lying Republican scum.

Because she's a liar and a crook without a shred of integrity. Also it seems insane to me to vote for a position that affects almost everybody based on the candidate's sexual organs. Really surprised so many Americans in this thread are Socialists. I mean I expect that from Europeans. Men killed outside Art Exhibition in Dallas

While I'm generally against wonton provocation I also don't think that religion should be a sacred cow and above critique or insult, it's wonderful that we don't have blasphemy laws and I'd hate to see that change. I don't think it's above criticism certainly, but I don't believe in gratuitous insults. I don't agree with drawing the cartoons, though they certainly have a right to do that. They're doing it to get under the skin of Jihadists, but we also have many Muslim citizens and allies, so why insult them also? Apparently it was a city policeman working security after hours, armed with a powerful handgun (.45 Glock according to CNN) I think what Zora is actually alluding to is if someone found a way to directly insult the entire Jewish community in the USA through some kind of " freedom of expression " there would be consequences and people wouldn't just be able to say " its okay, its just freedom of speech". I think the bacon story is just an analogy around the point he is making ? And I agree that there would consequences that would be far reaching than just internet criticism Actually a while back there was some controversy when the nazis wanted to march through a Jewish neighborhood, with many Holocaust survivors living there as well. The courts said they can do it though. -

Hate speech is free speech, at least in US. Popular speech doesn't need protection. Dumping bacon on front step of a synagogue would be a hate crime, because you're trespassing on private property. If it's a government building, you can bring in bacon, no matter who it offends. In other words, you can draw swastikas all you want, just not on someone else's property. There is a "fighting words" doctrine, where you personally insult someone, that could be considered a provocation. A public speech though wouldn't come under this, as you're not forced to listen to it. I don't believe anyone's religion should be insulted, but that's a very different question of whether it should be legal or not, and if it is legal police have to protect the person same as everyone else, else they themselves would be engaging in censorship. -
Problem is you're usually making decisions based on insufficient information. This is where ideology helps, since it's a set of principles believed by those who hold them to have worked in the past.

Socrates’ criticism of democracy (i.e why its BS)
Wrath of Dagon replied to Luj1's topic in Way Off-Topic
So far can't find anything, are you talking about Plato's Republic or which dialogues exactly? Is there an exact name and a publisher I can look up? The idea could be that many make better and less corrupt decisions than the few. There have been qualifications in the past, and certainly could be again, like you have to be over 25 and pay at least $500 in income tax. -

Wrath of Dagon replied to Luj1's topic in Way Off-Topic
Quote sounds too good to be true, like several other internet quotes attributed to famous people. Any link for the source? But yeah, democracy doesn't work if every idiot can vote, there need to be restrictions. -
By "protected" you mean they have to accept Muslim domination, instead of being killed outright, like the "unprotected".

PA is too weak and unpopular to make concessions needed for peace. The Palestinian public opinion is also firmly against it. Also if Israeli troops were removed for the West Bank, Hamas would take over and create another terror state. Thus Israelis know there's no way to advance the peace process, and all sincere attempts on their part previously have failed for those very reasons.

Iran is the wrong people, it doesn't get more wrong unless you resurrect hitler. Btw, there's no Iranian fatwa against nuclear weapons. http://pjmedia.com/andrewmccarthy/2015/03/16/there-is-no-fatwa-condemning-nuclear-weapons-by-irans-ayatollah-khamenei/

NK is the greatest country on earth, it's just the Zionist conspiracy that convinced you otherwise!
-
Ahmadinejnut or Rouhani, it's Khamenei who calls the shots. Nukes being against Islam sounds like Taqiyya to me. You'll remember Khomeini said "We're not Iranians, we are Muslims. Let Iran burn so long as Islam wins."

Getting rid of the 20% was a condition for sanction relief while the current negotiations are going on. But why did they do it in the first place? Al Jazeera is a propaganda outfit for terrorist-sponsoring Qatar, saying they're biased the opposite way doesn't make them any more credible, obviously they hate Israel more than anyone. Btw, both Mossad and CIA have been wrong before, CIA didn't even know India was developing nuclear weapons! I'm not saying that Iran has necessarily given the final go ahead for the bomb, but they're certainly in position now to do it, and that's a terrible chance to take given their track record.

This is very speculative, but interesting : http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/03/14/world-view-putins-disappearance-may-be-part-of-a-major-moscow-political-crisis/ Also this : https://twitter.com/EuromaidanPR/status/576848674115944450

According to the reports, Mossad said they're not building a bomb right now. Netanyahu only said they are close to having enough enriched uranium to build a bomb. It may be true they're not actually building a bomb at this point, but in any case I don't consider Al Jazeera and the Guardian as reliable sources. http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/23/middleeast/netanyahu-iran-nuclear-reports/ If they don't want a bomb, why are they enriching Uranium to 20%?
-
You know that Iran said they're going to wipe Israel off the map, right? Israel made no such statement about Iran. Here's an article that goes over the math of uranium enrichment, among other things : http://www.nationalreview.com/article/414741/how-obama-giving-iran-nuclear-arsenal-robert-zubrin?target=author&tid=22670

Personally, I think you appear more than a little naïve. Why would you think they are building nuclear weapons? When you have no proofs, who are you listening to? Mossad has said they do not have one. CIA has said they do not have one. Oh look, Guard Dog thinking he knows better than the Israeli and American intelligence services. Great job. Can you get it into your head that the same guys who are saying "Iran will have nukes in the next few years" have been saying so since the early nineties? They said "they don't have one now". That's not the same thing at all as saying they're not working on one. That's the same faulty logic you use throughout. They have vastly more centrifuges now then they did in early 90's. Their economy is all but collapsing. Why would they acquire so many centrifuges if they weren't trying to make a bomb? The same people were also saying N. Korea would get a nuke, and guess what, they were right.
