  1. So you guys are derailing the thread now, time to start "politics 2017".
  2. His sentence was 35 years. Arguably he should've been put to death for treason, "aid and comfort to the enemy".
  3. David Burge ‏@iowahawkblog Hacker's pre-check list before sending information to Wikileaks: OK: US battlefield comms on troop strength and position Treason: DNC emails David Burge ‏@iowahawkblog David Burge Retweeted The New York Times Hey errbody, it's Handing-Classified-Secrets-To-Wikileaks-And-Russian-Spies-Is-Suddenly-Okay-Again Tuesday
  4. What do you mean "undocumented"? It's well documented, here's another one: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/01/17/driver-who-shot-at-arizona-officer-was-in-us-illegally-investigators-say.html Edit: Here are some more : http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2017/01/17/bario-azteca-gang-lord-pleads-guilty-murder-drug-charges/ You may not hear much about it because the cops and the media tend to conceal it for PC reasons: http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2017/01/11/houston-media-refuses-report-immigration-status-convicted-hit-run-killer/

  6. It's not rare, there was a whole organized ring in some British city that the police covered up initially.
  7. More likely he's poor and unskilled, gets government assistance that cost the tax payers a ton, and also displaces the low skilled natives who then also get more government assistance, while paying very few taxes at his low paying job.
  8. Legally they can't stop it being used in a work of fiction. But they can harass people if they have nothing better to do.
  9. You're right, it should be made legal, I agree. Newsflash... there is such a thing as a LEGAL immigration. You are advocating for inventing a wheel here. What I'm advocating is open borders. Totally open. For anyone. That's insane, we'd be getting 30+ million people per year that way.
  10. It's because our infrastructure is supposedly falling apart, but also to create jobs. Infrastructure spending can boost future economy if it's handled properly, but it rarely is. Overall I'm skeptical, I don't see how we can afford another increase in spending unless revenues are enhanced, and it seems to me that states and localities should be responsible for their own infrastructure, not the feds.
  11. One of several games on my to-do list. Made 3 half hearted attempts since buying it, but I don't think I made it out of the "tutorial" bit even once Promised myself to not even install Witcher 3 until I've worked my way through Pillars of Eternity (and expansions) as well as Tyranny. At least I've made some headway on Pillars Just do what I did and put POE into your rotation, then never play it. Just kidding, I finally did start playing POE again recently. I still haven't done the Pillars of Eternity expansions. I still haven't even done Dungeon Siege III's expansion! (Though I want to at some point.) It's just more of the same, mostly combat, I liked the main game better.
  12. Government spending can boost the economy in the short term, but it's not healthy in the long term.
  13. I never thought we'd get another Shenmue either. Not that we've gotten it yet.
  14. What's funny is that you think it's a subject that requires deep understanding. May be you have a degree in that?
  15. "Being an embarrassment to your race" is one of the most racist statements you can make.
  16. That's right, Russians just didn't want to deal with a violently unstable person as president.
  17. I loathe timers. I guess with the mod I could try the game, after I get through my 999 other games.
  18. It's the old Soviet propaganda tactic now adopted by the Western left - accuse the opponent of whatever you yourself are doing. Funny how the main stream media had to back off of their claims of "fake news", once it was pointed out they themselves are the main purveyors.
  19. It's all because Putin is one of the Karamazov brothers: http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/01/the-secret-source-of-putins-evil More liberal bellyaching. I disagree with his premise about Russian identity crisis, though there is an inferiority complex. Russia's real problem, as in so many other countries, is authoritarianism and corruption, i.e. lack of the rule of law. Peter is considered a great hero, because he vastly increased Russia's power and made it a player on the world stage.
  20. Well yes, they might commit a crime, but usually not a mass shooting. Anyway, the standard for involuntary commitment is being a danger to yourself or others. So whatever mental condition meets that standard, by law you can't have a gun. We just don't have a system to implement that in most states.
  21. Not really strange, standard operating procedure. The reason is no one is responsible for handling these types of cases. The family might do something, but otherwise normally nothing happens.
