  1. Bolded stuff you're conveniently ignoring.
  2. Good review, I might have to get it after all.
  3. What do you mean by linear? How's JE more linear than other Bio games? You get a good/evil way to resolve each problem, or do you mean something else?
  4. Wasn't there something about British prison gangs using obscure Shakesperean language as codewords for their gang activities?
  5. Yeah, there was no post-war plan, that's where we really failed. Of course I saw some Pentagon people claim they did have a plan, but no one bothered to follow it.
  6. I think it means the same thing here, even if not, she's still saying he's one of her favorite philosophers.
  7. No, that's not really accurate, here's the exact quote: ""The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Tse-tung and Mother Theresa -- not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point which is 'you're going to make choices; you're going to challenge; you're going to say why not; you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before." http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/10/16/beck.dunn/index.html There's some context in that too.
  8. You can click on Denmark and see where it's ranked high. The main reason is all developed countries do similar things. As far as US taxes being higher than Canada's, I don't see any evidence of that.
  9. Well, she did say Mao was one of her 2 favorite political philosophers, that's a fact.
  10. Hong Kong government is elected http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_of_Hong_Kong
  11. They're both mostly democratic. They're both former British colonies, so they still have the British way of doing things, except for all the socialism. Actually everyone in the top eight except Switzerland is a former British colony or possession.
  12. Revenue is all of the money they received, not counting expenses. Once you subtract expenses, you get the profit or loss.
  13. http://investor.ea.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=381903 I think EA is still turning a profit, actually. Can anyone explain all this stuff? If that's turning a profit, I wonder what losing money looks like. The recession didn't affect games all that much, it's EA's strategy that's crashing and burning.
  14. Have you been reading what's happening to EA? They've been losing 100's of millions per quarter, and laying off like crazy.
  15. Well, we're talking about EA here. Might actually sell less, ME1 came out before Christmas, early year release is kind of risky.
  16. We're always thinking of you guys as socialists. It's a conservative outfit, so they consider marginal rates the most problematic as it discourages enterpreneurship (the point of diminishing returns). And they do consider the overall tax revenue as percentage of GDP. Government freedom - I'm not sure where you see that. You mean government spending? That should be included, whether the spending is justified or not, it hurts our economy, defense spending does too, even if it's necessary.
  17. http://www.heritage.org/index/Ranking.aspx Go figure.
  18. Agree completely. Of course if Bioware made it, it would be indistinguishable from Dragon Age.
  19. Technically that's a quintet since Krogan have four testicles.
  20. The only limits to political speech the Supreme Court has recognized is when there's an immediate incitement to violence/injury. Such as you can't yell "fire" in a crowded theater. Thank God this isn't Europe yet.
  21. This ruling regards for-profit corporations, don't change the subject. What are you doing on an evil corporation's forum anyway? I may have to report you to the Commissariat comrade.
  22. Political organizations in the US are also corporations. What you're talking about are "Evil Corporations". A corporation is not an economic entity btw, it's a legal entity, it could very well be a non-profit, or even, heaven forbid, leftist!
  23. Or listening to boring stories about their childhoods.
  24. I agree, but nothing done in the US so far has fixed the problem in the least, it only keeps gettting worse. And freedom of speech is not an excuse, it's a fundamental right. As an individual you can speak till you're blue in the face, no one will listen to you. The only way to make yourself heard is organize with other like minded individuals and make the politicians pay attention to you. This is what this ruling is about.
