  1. Not only the depth of ignorance, but the ability to distort and willfully misunderstand a simple and obvious statement. This is indeed like arguing with Bill Clinton over the definition of "is". And Hurlshot, my English is much better than most native speakers, believe me.
  2. We're not talking about quoting, we're talking about favorite philosophers and turning to someone time and again. Then explain to me what his point has to do with Dunn's case. If you can't admire Mao, you also can't admire the founding fathers? Or there was something good in Mao's philosophy worth admiring? What is it?
  3. Yes, saying someone admires Mao is completely the same as saying he admires the founding fathers. And someone saying they admire hitler is the same as someone admiring Churchill, because after all Churchill was a drunk and hitler was a vegetarian. Elementary logic fail once again.
  4. Again, you are putting words in her mouth. The whole bullying news style that I see from folks like Glen Beck and O'Rielly has always bothered me. It's easy to tear people down and they've made a living off of it. She said he's one of two favorites, how am I putting words in her mouth? And what do you think of Obermann on MSNBC then? Also, can you give me an example where O'Reilly tore anyone down? (Not that I'm a huge fan of O'Reilly, but he does do a lot of good with his exposes some times).
  5. My point wasn't that QTE's/ button presses were bad in and of themselves, my point was that's all that's left of an RPG, and was meant to be satirical. Of course I was going by what someone else said, so that may not even be the case.
  6. Where did you get methods? She said nothing about methods. Wouldn't your methods follow your philosophy? And this "you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before". Those aren't methods? And Mao is not the one person she turns to most for those methods? Like I said, I don't think she's actually a Maoist, she's just a loony leftist who's had to resign her position because of all the dumb things she'd said and done. Ok, you're becoming deluded. You're saying that because she considered a guy a good philosopher she also totally ascribed to all of his ideals. As to "things that have never been done before" Where does she say what things? I could say "you're on the list" but for all you know that could be anywhere between a hit list and a birthday list. Albert Einstien did things that were never done before, was he a Maoist? Did you actually read the quote she used when she gave that speech? Like I said, she used the quote "You fight your war, I'll fight mine". How does that have anything to do with Chinese Communist Doctrine at all? Yeah, except she doesn't turn to Einstein when she wants to do things that were never done before, she turns to Mao. Yes, Mao is her favorite political philosopher but she completely disagrees with his political philosophy. Certainly makes perfect sense.
  7. It's just a very simple QTE. It's still timed right, you can't just sit forever and decide?
  8. Where did you get methods? She said nothing about methods. Wouldn't your methods follow your philosophy? And this "you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before". 9. So if she was quoting him on guerilla warfare, it would be more understandable. Instead she's praising his political methods.
  10. Bioware - distilling the essense of an RPG down to a QTE.
  11. Is Stalin also your favorite political philospher? Way to distort the meaning of a quite obvious statement.
  12. Substitute hitler for Mao in that sentence, then make the same arguments. I actually don't know who murdered the most people. Anyway, I believe Dunn is actually dumb enough that she didn't fully realize what she was saying.
  13. What? Every quest had multiple solutions, how many games let you do that anymore?
  14. Bolded stuff you're conveniently ignoring.
  15. Good review, I might have to get it after all.
  16. What do you mean by linear? How's JE more linear than other Bio games? You get a good/evil way to resolve each problem, or do you mean something else?
  17. Wasn't there something about British prison gangs using obscure Shakesperean language as codewords for their gang activities?
  18. Yeah, there was no post-war plan, that's where we really failed. Of course I saw some Pentagon people claim they did have a plan, but no one bothered to follow it.
  19. I think it means the same thing here, even if not, she's still saying he's one of her favorite philosophers.
  20. No, that's not really accurate, here's the exact quote: ""The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Tse-tung and Mother Theresa -- not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point which is 'you're going to make choices; you're going to challenge; you're going to say why not; you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before." http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/10/16/beck.dunn/index.html There's some context in that too.
  21. You can click on Denmark and see where it's ranked high. The main reason is all developed countries do similar things. As far as US taxes being higher than Canada's, I don't see any evidence of that.
  22. Well, she did say Mao was one of her 2 favorite political philosophers, that's a fact.
  23. Hong Kong government is elected http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_of_Hong_Kong
  24. They're both mostly democratic. They're both former British colonies, so they still have the British way of doing things, except for all the socialism. Actually everyone in the top eight except Switzerland is a former British colony or possession.
