  1. Agreed to all those. Really want to see crafting put in and additional content.
  2. Well if they patch it you'll need it for that but otherwise there's no multiplayer side to it to need internet connectivity.
  3. Honestly fetch quests are just a rpg mechanic to lead you to another area or area suited to your level. And also to more quests. Most of the other rpgs that don't have many fetch quests also kind of leave you hanging as far as where to go and what to do next. Your left to wonder about and likely run into areas that your not ready to be in.
  4. This isn't a mediocre fallout because it's not made to be a fallout clone( bethseda fallout that is). In playing I've noted several instances where they could have used some of the same systems as fallout but instead blatantly dodged designs and mechanics that could be construed as copying them. Sure it causes us to come on here and say "You need to this this way and change this and that" . But that just goes to show that they tried to make something different. I always find it funny how we throw off on a game by saying its a clone and then complain about others because they don't have the mechanics and setup as another. Also where do you get this from: There's several times when you can respond in a flirty way and friendship .... you run all round the place to help them with their personal matters aka companion quests. You can put them down and tell them they are great people. But you mentioned that . Never mind when they chime in on choice your going to make and you either say I appreciate your opinion or dismiss their opinion. I know , I know you want your character to have a sex scene with some other character you've chatted it up with ala Mass Effect, Witcher, Dragon Age....etc. But Outer Worlds is trying to give us something else in a time of used up ideas.
  5. I love the colors in this game! My first step out of the pod and I was " The colors, omg, the colors!" You've played Fallout and other games with depressing lack of color environments for too long if this makes your eyes bleed. And it has places in it with lesser colors so it's not like you are made to look at non stop bright colors.
  6. Hate to sound like an ass to those posting here. But here goes. This was meant to be a place to post your favorite moments and adventures in the Outer Worlds not for stuck on quests or bug complaints - those actually have a place, like say the support section or general chat. Only posts so far that seem at home here is the screen shots post. So, um, yeah lets see some stories people!
  7. I personally would love to see crafting added -- put some use to those hides and robot parts. Being able to make clothing that has mod slots. As a stealth player I would like to wear leather or cloth instead of clunky armor or not look like I'm wearing something made of random rags (aka the miner suit). Also more hair styles and please separate female hair styles from male. Understandably some hair styles are androgynous but some of those are straight up not right for a male character
  8. The equipment stat bonuses simply bump up that stat. Let's say you find a lock that you need 55 lock picking to open but you only have 50, you put on a piece of armor that has +5 to locking picking and now you can open it. The skill abilities are connected to your actual skill number.
  9. Yep same. I just can't find the justification in losing the stats for 1 perk point. I know they were trying to offer a way to improve your character is some way while give an adverse like the fallout games do with mutations. But most of the perks just aren't worth giving up multiple stat points.
  10. Yeah poor guy. When he realizes he goofed, Bethesda is like "Thanks for not supporting our competition!"
  11. So umm you realize there's a big Obsidian at the top of the page and that Bethesda is no where on it. Like it shows on the trailers as Obsidian and Private Division. The creators of the original FO did this not the ones who have been handling it at Bethesda.
  12. Oh yes stashes are a must. Don't like having what I can own depend on what I can hold in the personal inventory. Hmmm maybe a container with small portal technology to your stash
  13. I don't like them either but they are put in for false challenge. I just find it funny that someone claiming they want the highest difficulty to be taking away what makes those fights more challenging. Such as deciding what weapons you need and can carry - along with what armor/gear you can wear and still not be over-weighted.
  14. Is it me or is this kinda ironic. You want to play the hardest difficulty for the challenge of the combat but remove one of the things that make it a challenge. Being able to wear the heaviest armor, carry multiple heavy weapons, max ammo, max healing items, grenades,etc... kinda negates the difficulty. Admittedly I find weight limits annoying but understand the purpose of them.
  15. Yeah and most people wondered why they didn't just reflash those cartridges. Re-burning disks is a common practice now. That and just recycling the disk all together to make new ones.
  16. For one thing I don't think people go around throwing game disks on the ground. Also most companies reuse disks. Cardboard boxes... don't really see a lot of games in cardboard boxes now a days. The real reason why pc games have become download only has less to do with being green and more to do with the fact that you don't trade in pc games. Why waste time and production burning disks when you can just put it on some servers for downloading. That's the logic behind them not making physical copies. I myself would rather have a physical copy too. If your that worried about the environment then maybe you should stop using computers, consoles, using electricity, and wearing most of your clothes. After all the electricity your using right now is produced from either burning coaling or using water turbines. If anyone were truly that worried about the environment they would be living like mountain men.
  17. I have to say I really like what this post had to say. They seem to have some of the misgivings about the current state of game development as we the players do. And it's good to ready that they have played the game through themselves and done so several times over. There are several games out there it is clear that those in charge of development and gameplay have not even played through their own product. It's a major reason why so many mmo's that came out fell to the side. And Obsidian, keep making games types that companies have thrown to the side because it's not the current fad. I myself would love to see some turned based rpg's, good ones. I'm not the only one that misses those. I've found that out. Persona 4 proved that it's still a fun and viable battle type. Point is the industry has lost its variety due to hopping onto what ever the current fad is cloning it and riding till the wheels fall off (actually some are riding the hubs). So yeah put variety out there and take the time to polish it.
  18. Yeah tell me about it I got to like right before the final battle on that and stopped simply cause I had burned out. I also have tried to stay away from spoilers. Happened onto where someone posted a video about who/ what companions you get and how many on one of the forum posts. I didn't watch it but it was there in the title. I was like really? I didn't want to know that.
  19. I'm using the gamepass and Xbox app beta as well. Beside where it says "play" or under don't remember theres a " . . ." check it for a update option.
