Amen. Don't know how many I have played boasting it giant open worlds and what we end up with is alot of wasted nothing. If your going to have a big open world then make use of it with exploration, hidden treasures, resources,....something. Speaking of resources does this have any type of crafting in it? Hadn't thought about that till I typed that

And 76 is vaulter looking for overseer. LOL. Guess next one could be man looking for dog. So yeah, glad to see these guys making another game and hope it doesn't end up falling into the hands of the likes of Bethesda. The only thing I didn't care for with FO4 was the whole camp system and then they took it over to 76 like it was that great. But then that's just me.

I agree with you on that. My thought was along the line that he/she had a default appearance and name. And those were used on game covers and such. But otherwise, yes, clean slate. But anyways this was all to say that characters that are not predefined usually get a character creator.

Also remember Fallout has been out of these guys hands since it went from isometric to 3d. Fallout's current state is poor. Both graphics and story wise it has become stale. It's like after FO 3 did so good Bethesda just sorta decided it was a cash cow that didn't have to put any effort in and people would just keep buying them. But after 76 I'm not so sure cause it showed just how much they didn't care about the product. But yes I do hope people that don't care for the wasteland and mutants of Fallout will enjoy this. Part of what originally attracted people to Fallout was that it didn't take it's self too serious. We can already see from the trailers that it's got the humor and whimsy.

I also got a small download from Microsoft store. So don't know why it's doing full downloads for some and these small ones for others. Edit: So I went back to the Microsoft store and clicked on the ... choose update and it started downloading the full game then. Don't know what that small download the first time was about but maybe you should try this Clawdius.

Just got the game pass for pc so I'm playing the newest Gears of War. Was playing Borderlands 3 and some Red Dead Redemption. Hope they have knifes/daggers type weapons in OW would like to do some sneaky back stabbing.

We as customers also hope this is our new Fallout. Just listen to your customers and keep improving. Don't just copy/paste from game to game. We want games that we can't wait to get a sequel to.

I think the real question is why MS store is the only one that has pre-load? Also do we know if this is because of the gaming pass or for anyone purchasing from MS store? If so I'll cancel my Epic order and get it from Microsoft.

Let me get this straight. It doesn't matter if a game has a good story, good gameplay and such that makes for a good or possibly great game. Just that it's displayed in 4k when played on a console. Yes it would be great if that was something that was default standard to do for consoles. But I'm not going to pass up a game because of no 4k support. Besides if it worries you that much invest in a computer, in fact build your own computer it costs less than retail comps that have crap in them you don't want or need.

Any single player game that has a character that has no real backstory or look will have a character creation. If the character is specifically made up by the creators for the story-line then no it doesn't make sense. Like Shepard in mass effect, I understand being able to choose male or female for that game but the character creation beyond that didn't make sense to me. But for this it makes since because your a random person with a random name that this guy thinks will serve his purposes. On another note I do wish if they are going to do character creation they would have body sliders but then I guess it helps avert collision problems with outfits if your body is a given shape and size.

I share the feeling about non physical games but seems if I get anything for pc I'm forced to download. Would like to know if there will be a pre-download so the game will be ready to play on the release date and not the next day for those with less than favorable download speeds.
