  1. Since Larian Studios is from Belgium and so am I, I'll definitely support them, but I'm not getting hyped. The first 2/3 of DD1 was pretty good, the last 1/3 was very rushed. I never finished DD1.5, Beyond Dvinity.
  2. Went skiing last week. That's to say, I got tired of my skis after 3 days, so I picked up a snowboard for the other 3. Got the handle of it quite easily, thanks to years of snow experience. Nothing too fancy yet, but at least I can get downhill without falling. Looking forward to doing it again.

    LOST

Well, Smokey let him live because everything he did has been in the interests of the Island. And they also seemed to put quite some effort in showing that Ben really has a heart, since he couldn't kill Rousseau or Penny. So I think that was the whole point of this episode, to show that we can now finally assume Ben really is a good guy, acting only to protect the Island. Granted, he may have gone astray a few times in his rivalry with Locke, but after being threatened not to cross Locke again, I doubt he will.
  4. true dat I quit my last quit a few months ago.
  5. Are you by any chance in a situation you want to get out of but (feel like you) can't for some reason? Like a relationship or an organization (like a cult)? I myself have recurring dreams about losing backpacks and being able to hover above the ground by breathing in deeply (sort of like a hot air balloon). The latter I rather enjoy, the first one not so much.

Another great episode. Ben and Locke are just an awesome combo. Glad we finally got a break from all the Dharma stuff. I think we can finally trust Ben now.
  7. I bought Baldur's Gate as an impulse buy. Probably wouldn't be here if I hadn't.
  8. I like the motion comic too, but I wish they had more than one voice actor. Yeah it is a bit weird hearing a man's voice for the female characters.

I have a feeling Sayid is going to die this season. He now has nowhere to go on the Island: he can't join Dharma, nor can he join the Others. His role seems to be played out. Shooting Ben will be the catalyst to turning him into the Ben as we know him, and therefore Sayid will have created that which he wanted to prevent. This is his destiny on the Island I think, and now it's fulfilled.

Another thing that supports the "one timeline" is the fact that if Juliet hadn't been in 1977, Ethan would've never survived being born on the Island. Ethan (with Richard) eventually recruits Juliet to the Island. So Juliet coming to the Island is only possible because she was there in 1977 when Amy went into labor. I also much prefer Lost's interpretation of time travel to Heroes'.
  11. Now that was an awesome ending to an awesome series. I'm watching the Watchmen Motion Comic. I don't feel like reading the comics before I see the new film, so this is a pretty neat way to get to know the full story. I'm up to episode 4 now (Dr Manhattan's backstory) and that one was pretty solid.

I'm pretty sure Ben always got shot in 1977 by Sayid. History has not changed, we're seeing exactly what made Ben become the man he would eventually turn out to be. Having contact in 1977 with the Losties looks to be the reason why he always seemed to know so much about what would happen. For example, he could walk straight up to Keamy, knowing that he wouldn't die, because as a kid he found out that his adult version will be on Ajira 316 in 2007. Starting from 2007, however, I don't think Ben has any knowledge. He's as much in the dark now as anyone else. QFT (except that there is no present it's easier to say 2007) And where the hell is Desmond??
  13. Yeah we don't have wireless at home so I had to pull a cable to my room.

He's not dead. On the contrary, surviving such a thing will be what makes him believe he's the chosen one. There's only one timeline in Lost. Whatever happened, happened. Anything we see are just pieces in that one timeline. It's easier to understand if you view it from the Island's point of view, rather than from the characters'.
  16. it's been a months since we got some n00ws..
  17. Linux is already on my PS3, it's just that I can't seem to install apps from there.
  18. It was on a USB stick. So I just need to copy it to the hard drive then?

I'm calling it now: Faraday will cause the Incident. Faraday is looking for a way to save Charlotte. He knows that he can't tell young Charlotte to leave the Island and never come back, since that will eventually result in her coming back anyway and dying. But not telling her to leave will result in her dying in the Purge. So he must find another way. This season's opening scene made it pretty clear Faraday is going to mess with time in the Orchid. However, I believe his path will eventually lead to the Swan. Faraday knows Desmond is special, that the rules don't apply to him. He will want to reproduce the same effect on himself, so that he can cheat destiny. It shouldn't be hard for him to figure out that the reason for Desmond's specialness is the radiation he underwent by turning the Swan's failsafe key. Thus, Faraday will willingly cause the Incident so that the same happens to him. Whether he will actually manage to change things, that's another matter. I doubt it. I also believe this to be the reason why Faraday was crying when he saw the news of Oceanic 815's wreckage being found at the bottom of the ocean. Being radiated by the electromagnetism unstuck his consciousness in time, resulting in him feeling emotions associated with 815 (Charlotte dying) even when he hasn't experienced those yet. Much like Desmond didn't remember his meeting with Faraday at the hatch until many years later. And it could explain why Eloise Hawking appeared so cold when Desmond mentioned her son. She is trying to maintain/protect the timeline from being meddled with, and thus he opposed everything she stands for.
  20. Okay so apparently you need an internet connection to install applications on Linux. How stupid.
  21. I just put Linux on my PS3. I have no idea how to use it.
