Not exactly. All higher ups are male, and most girls are in their (early) twenties. You wouldn't be able to tell by just looking at the cover, I'll give you that. None at all. The story can be pretty cheesy at times, but the game itself is excellent. Great level design, and almost no cheap tricks that make you rely on trial and error. Playing VC was a very refreshing experience, as few tactical TB games come out these days.

http://kotaku.com/5314871/valkyria-chronic...2-is-a-psp-game ****. I want more Valkyria Chronicles, but not bad enough to buy a PSP. Hopefull, one day PS3 will get a sequel that will focus on Jaeger.

Applications designed for multi-core systems, most notably PCSX2, run faster.

Say, I have another brilliant idea. Let's put magic in the game. Sure, it doesn't really fit the setting, but if you don't like it, don't use it. Because almost all skills were geared towards combat, and skills available depended on Shepard's class. Thus, even maxed out characters felt consistent. Even in New Game Plus your Engineer didn't suddenly get an ability to absorb huge amounts of damage and toss people around like ragdols with psychic powers. Alpha Protocol has a considerably more open skill system, and a maxed out character will end up being a karate commando ninja hacker gadgeteer.

No. Maxing out all skills makes the character lose all identity.

Is that really such a bad thing? That said, I hope sideburns, monocles, canes, top hats and golden pocket watches are available.

Screw vampires. Give me a Changeling game!

That's cool. I was kinda pissed off when WotC stopped selling their books as .pdfs because of zomgPIRACY!, effectively cutting off the only way to legally purchase their products I had. Oh well, more money to Paizo and White Wolf, silly Wizards.

What? Why would anyone want to water down the mighty CoDzilla with crappy Paladin levels? @OP: 1. As Gromnir said, turn off Power Attack. It's only effective against targets with low AC, and Rogues are rarely among them. 2. Bring along another companion. Why do you only have two? Grab Elanee.

Sliding while using martial arts

Not a bug. It's done by crouching and pressing Heavy Kick. -
LA is announcing a new game from an old franchise

Cool, now I can buy games I already own again. The generosity of LucasArts truly knows no bounds. -
Re: video I'm a bit disappointed that the guitar isn't a proper weapon that can be used as often as you want to, like Nevan in Devil May Cry 3.

I don't have a tendency to keep games I don't like on the top of my head. I honestly forgot about MGS4. Whre? Huh? 360 has Gears of War 2, Halo 3, Fable 2 and... And that's about it. Now that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 has been announced it has exactly zero worthwile games that aren't available on either PC or PS3. It did have better software support when it launched, but that was a long time ago.

I don't really care about Metal Gear Solid enough to bother even mentioning it. Meh. Ninja Gaiden, God Hand and Devil May Cry are way more fun to play. NG because of very aggressive AI, DMC because of freeform controls, GH because of both aggressive AI and freeform controls. Contrast with God of War with its paralytic enemies whose purpose is to be killed by the player, not to challenge his skills, a dial-a-combo combat system and constant QTEs. EDIT: Fxed a typo.

No good gameplay for Kratos either. Valkyria Chronicles is what you really should buy a PS3 for.
-
They do. Xbox 360 has shooters about very manly men of ambiguous sexuality who carry very big guns, and PS3 has tactical turn-based jRPGs about very girly men of ambiguous sexuality who carry very big swords (although very big guns are becoming more and more common).
-
If money isn't an issue then PS3. More reliable, prettier, plays Blu-Ray discs, has better exclusives and free multiplayer (making it less expensive than 360 in the long run). If Br

Revolvers are the coolest looking firearms created by mankind. It'd be a shame if they aren't in the game.

US covers are always worse. Always.

It's as generic as covers get. How about something more imaginative? Maybe a bloodied dossier marked "Confidential", or something like that.

Your RAGE should be directed at BioWare, the fine people behind the mess that is Odysseus Engine.

Nope. There are only two more big-name western RPG developers now: Obsidian and Bethesda. Both used a Fallout-style slideshow in their latest games, and they felt much more satisfying to watch than Bio's epic ending cutscenes. A Fallout-esque slideshow is fine, IMO. Creating one doesn't require too much time and resources (2-5 slides per major location/character, plus narration), but the pay-off is great. It's always nice to hear the game referencing all your past decisions, not just the way you chose to handle the big bad. Not so. All four "faction" endings have requirements: LaCroix - doing all sidequests he sent you by e-mail, not going on shooting sprees when he specifically asks you not to, occasionally flattering him Camarilla - handling the plague and the gargoyle, not leaking Strauss' secret to the Anarchs, knowing that Strauss doesn't like LaCroix The Anarchs - agreeing to spy on LaCroix when Damsel asks you Ming-Xiao - nodding to all bull**** she says If you were acting like an **** for the entire game the only ending you could get was going rogue. Miles ahead of what Bio usually does.
-
I didn't have the willpower to finish Mass Effect, but I checked the walkthrough, and it seems that the only choice that defines the ending (the order you give to the Alliance fleet) is made shortly before you fight Saren.
-
Does it mean that, as usual for BioWare, all choices that actually matter are crammed into the endgame, and you can simply save the game right before the location that screams "CAUTION: PLOT FORKS UP AHEAD!", then use this save to see all endings without having to work for the entire game to get them?
