Well I have seen Twitch stream of Pedro Almeida playing Kongo, after release of Mare Nostrum expansion. It looked really interesting and challenging from my point of view, but because of Steam, I have never played EU4 before, so I really do not know how the gameplay chnaged from the vanilla version of the game. I have started to watch some streams just after release of previous expansion, and mostly from Rabid Bunny, but he is to fast for me to see why he is doing what he is doing :-P Still If this game would ever hit GOG, I know I would enjoy it, from what I have seen so far, because I already know, that it fixed some of the issues which I had in EU2, but I am kind of sad, that that Paradox does not have "Real History" mode available in their game anymore. Pure sandboxy feeling after EU3 is not as challenging, as trying to change the course of history, when the real historic events hit the player ( Barti, do you know, are can you give me some advice, wher I can find some material about Victoria 1 with expansion? I am really bad at that game, and all the guides, which I have found are just for Vic2 game, which is much easier to get into, from what I have seen so far.

Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Mamoulian War replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
Nope, but as I have said, this review has informed me on all of the issues, which I was worried about, and previous reviews, despite being solid, did not talked about all of them. And I know, from his posts, that he had similar oppinion about some of the bull**** which Beamdog might have put in the game, so if he does think that it was way overblown, I might find that after playing the game as well. Of course, only when the price hits the sweet spot for me. Not gonna pay full price on this, because I have my reasons and oppinions as well ;-) -
After pretty long time, caused by my vacation, I have finally finished my Europa Universalis 2 game this Sunday. Nation fo Xhosa conquered 52 provinces in Africa, and successfully ended up as 5th most powerful country in the world Unfortunately, due to some clumsy game mechanics, it is very hard to get with some nations to high enough Land and Naval technologies events, to stay competitive with Euro and Muslim countries, so I was unable to conquer whole Africa, and get better results in accumulating Victory Points. Still playing such an outsider was crazy fun for me, and the outcome of the game is on much higher level, than I would ever thought. TBH I was thinking, that some time after in 17th century, I'll be obliterated by Portugal. But In the end, I was even able to win few wars against them, despite very big Tech handicap. Anyway the last day of my campaign, was in the vein of defending myself against countries, which guaranteed Ethiopia's independence, which almost ended fatal for me But in the end, I was able to Annex Ethiopia, and take out every Persian and Ottoman provinces in between my kingdom and Nubia. Though Nubia have saved me from getting kicked my ass by Ottomans, because they had crazy number of troops, but were unable to get them, due to lack of Military Access to their lands Anyway, if you would like to know little bit more in detail about the game, you can read more in detail about it >>here<< in my Let's Play/AAR

Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Mamoulian War replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the game. It is first game review, which I find unbiased and informed on mostly all of the stuff, which I was worrying about when internet was being an internet in the last few weeks. You actually changed my attitude from "Do Not Buy!!!", to "Maybe buy, when I reduce my backlog and the price is right". Thanks again EDIT: Have you considered to write/copy it on GOG as well (if you have account)? It really could use something like that in between all of the garbage from both sides of "Social Justice" man can find there. -

GameFront's servers shutting down on 30th April. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/04/help-save-17-years-of-pc-game-modding-history/ If you have some mods there, you should redownload them before the end of month...

It's clearly outcome of some developers trying to bring "inclusivity" to the whole new level! Bring out the pitchforks!

Sheldon, is that you? :-O

If it will be anything like other Paradox grand strategies it will have a broken or non-existent or woefully inadequate tutorial, have a brutal learning curve, and be totally worth it if you can get past said learning curve. That's what I love about Paradox :-D

After I came back home from my holidays, I have decided to take a small break from my Europa Universalis II game, and started NG+ on Hyperdimension Neptunia V after 2 and half year long break. This time, I have decided to go for the Normal Ending. Took me the same amount of time as the first playthrough, because I have decided to get few more trophies on the way there. The game is still pretty fun, when you get after longer break back to it, but compared to previous titles, at the start of the game, there are much longer cutscenes, which can be little bit tiresome. But after Chapter 2, it gets much better. I will have to play it in the future one more time for True Ending and the rest of the trophies, but first, I should finish my EU2 game and then go play again either Star Ocean 4, Tales of Xillia 2, Atelier Rorona or Dark Souls 1 :D Can't decide which game to pick while waiting for PS4K

Maybe in '90ies. In 21st century you are allowed to trashtalk only men. And only in the case that they are heterosexual and white, else someone might get offended. -

Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Mamoulian War replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
@hamskii, you might disagree with that, but that is your own oppinion. From what I have seen so far, it is the worst introduction of "nonstandard" character which I have ever experienced in any media. The writing of this character is on par with Vintage B Porn movies from 60-ties and not something what I demand from quality piece of art. I take also the opportunity to point as few others have before, to the depiction of Renly Baratheon in Game of Thrones... That is just one example, how I expect the depiction of any (and not only LGBT) characters in any artistic media... If your writers are unable to create character at least half that deep, you should hire new writer and not blame your customers for being ****... -

Well, not every trans person has the same opinion on this topic either you know.. http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/269735/Opinion_The_Siege_of_Dragonspear_drama_and_the_video_game_community.php Well, then why it is an outrageous surprise, that non-trans people might have different oppinions about this matter as well? *mind blown* -
Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Mamoulian War replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
Dear hamskii, have you even bothered to read some threads on BD forums made by real Transgender people how they feel about such lame inclusion of this character? Or are you to busy to hate on everyone who has the "wrong" (ergo different than yours) oppinion? -
Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear RELEASED
Mamoulian War replied to Infinitron's topic in Computer and Console
I find it all rather odd. I've been watching this from the sidelines. Beamdog went back to try and 'fix' the original game as it's quite 'sexist'. Safana has been 'fixed' so she doesn't come across as a sex object and Jaheira has been 'fixed' so she doesn't come across as the 'nagging wife'. I thought Beamdog was making Siege of Dragonspear as an expansion that told the story between BG1 and BG2. Apparently, making a story between two games wasn't enough. They had to go back and 'fix' the original game. Did they really changed the original dialogue text of Safana and Jaheira in BG1? Don't care much about Jaheira, but Safana was with Viconia my favourite female NPC in the game, and changing personality of any of them is good enough reason for me, to not bother with Beamdog's games any more... -

Are you going to release Tyranny on GOG?
Mamoulian War replied to shmerl's topic in Computer and Console
Wouldn't they know about such plans already now? Or you think it can be still undecided? I would say they probably have an idea, how it will end up. But in so many month before release, it would be foolish to say anything from marketing perspective. Because in time, the decision could be changed, and it could end up in big PR disaster afterwards. Especially, if it is true, that Paradox plans to go public on stock market -
