  1. About Prometheus:
  2. He has said that the version up on the big screen is basically the director's cut for Prometheus. Though of course, he might've said to make people go see it and/or change his mind later on, who knows? But it would take a *lot* of changes to make the script cohesive, there are just too many things that are fundamentally stupid. But yeah, hopefully a director's cut could at least make it better. We'll see.
  3. Even though I'm an unabashed Cage hater, I must say that I was still pretty surprised just how *close* it looked to Heavy Rain. Actually didn't think they'd do the whole QTE gameplay bullcrap again, but there you go.
  4. Was a small interview with Matt & Trey just now as well on the game but nothing really new, mostly them just goofing off. Though they did mention that writing for a game was definitely very different and challenging.
  5. Here's the bit where Matt & Trey take the stage also: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2012-south-park/730941 EDIT: Also, if I heard correctly just now Matt & Trey will apparently talk a bit about the game on the gametrailers stream soon.
  6. "Written & Directed by David Cage" Ah good, so it'll be a comedy just like Heavy Rain was!
  7. The combat seems like it would be straight-forward enough with the turnbased style but just imagining... walking around the South Park universe with how the series looks boggles my mind a bit. Will be interesting to see how all the non-combat stuff will play.
  8. South Park trailer was fun. Also, many bonus points for Matt & Trey making fun of the bullcrap that was shown before about tablets hooked into everything.
  9. Dumbledore dies at the end. ... and yes, Dumbledore is actually in the film! No worries though here, I avoided spoilers religiously as well. I'd like to advise you to see it in a good theater though, it's a beautiful film.
  10. It came out in theaters in the EU yesterday. Short verdict from me is that the script is unfortunately pretty bad and the film suffers enormously from it. Not much wrong with the direction, it looks fantastic, the actors do a really good job with what they have. Also felt it was easily the best 3d flick I've seen (not seen many granted), free from gimmicks and using the 3d to great effect to create good depth and scale to some of the enormous shots. Easy on the eyes to watch. But yeah... disappointed overall. Ridley needs to pick his scripts better I think.
  11. Went to see Prometheus... Unfortunately pretty disappointed all in all. Once I 'come to terms with it', I think I'll still enjoy it as a film but as of now... Pretty disappointed I must say. :/
  12. What is it about this game that just looks so... bland somewhow? Can't put my finger on it. Stealth game in steampunk setting normally sounds like something amazing to me but I just cannot get into any of the trailers for this game. The whole "man, we are ARTISTIC" inclusion of The Drunken Sailor just makes it worse somehow. Still convinced that it can be a good game but ugh... EDIT: The Tomb Raider trailer looks like some kind of torture porn video at times. I mean, the series always had an element of "how many horrific situations can we put this woman in?" type of deal and this certainly capitalizes on that. Is it known when the game will be set (before or after the other games)? Hard to get a feel for the gameplay but don't have many high hopes for that.
  13. Sex-cards, silly sex-scenes, boobies, characters from the game being featured in playboy. All the usual CDProject mature goodness! But yeah, this is pretty cool news. Could make for something really interesting.
  14. Would be interested in getting feedback on that as well. Meanwhile, been playing some Fable 3... Yeeeeah. Man it pisses me off that such a crappy game garnered pretty great scores (if memory serves at least). Even the "mess-around" factor isn't nearly as fun as it should be and the game goes to such great lengths to simplify absolutely everything that it almost does itself a disservice at times and things actually get more obtuse. Too bad since the industrial feel to Bowerstone for example is pretty nice. But yeah... crappy story, crappy "sandbox", crappy gameplay (if you can even call it that). Awful.
  15. Feels like the end of the world: Heading down...: A dangerous place: The showdown:
  16. More of beautiful Zion: Overlooking the camp: Underwater Cave: Red Rock Canyon: The Divide:
  17. Not too surprising. There was some interview with the THQ guy a while back that sorta hinted at it. Think he also mentioned that it was hard to plan out the way Trey & Matt are doing the writing (with them having to do the series also) but as always, who knows what it's about really. Still, mainly hope they can push it out before THQ goes down.
  18. Steam mention in Tigranes' post +1!
  19. Replaying New Vegas... Hiking around Zion in Honest Hearts.
  20. I haven't read the sourcebooks but I guess my fear is that the aesthetics will just look like the classic cyberpunk thing... with lots of Asian influences. Like what we see in Blade Runner, and of course moreso in Heng-Sha from Deus Ex: HR. Not that I don't find that appealing (I actually love it), but something like Berlin would feel a bit more unique and interesting I think. But hey, perhaps the Shadowrun universe Hong Kong would look different.
  21. Speaking of silly, I just watched the episode from the new season about Memes... That was goddamn funny.
  22. Re-watched The Straight Story by David Lynch. Hadn't seen it since the time it came out I think. What a great and touching film it is, absolutely amazing in its simplicity.
  23. It's present on PC as well. As for the cause. Differences between recording sessions (recording at different volume levels), sometimes bad mixing. In some instances, lack of foresight in the voice direction, like when actors speak in their normal voice when a big and loud battlefield is raging around them.
  24. Going to guess it was recorded on a variety of trains, maybe on several different days (due to how many different angles there are) and the music track put on top of the video then. Still, pretty awesome.
