For a horror game, they completely failed to make these trailers scary or creepy in any way whatsoever. *Of course* the girl is gonna look straight at the camera in a slightly creepy manner. Ugh, same old tricks. The suit in the chair with smoke coming from his neck looks more funny than anything.

Mark Morgan track from upcoming Kickstarter-fueled adventure game STASIS: It's *really* good. Really enjoy it.

Played through Limbo. Great little game, a puzzler-platformer. Good difficulty I think, had to look up one puzzle. Only thing that tarnished the experience was that a nasty freezing bug at the game's end. Very annoying, but otherwise a fun game. Also playing through Original Sin, albeit slowly. Not quite as crazy about it as many are. It's undoubtedly fun but I don't know, something keeps me from being totally sucked into it.

I'm also enjoying the game quite a bit but I'm not *quite* seeing the greatness that a lot of people are. Finding the engine a bit clunky overall, and the writing is really boring. It's clear that they're going for a more light-hearted, silly tone. But even so, it's not particularly funny. Couple that with a really boring setting and, well... It doesn't live up to the potential I think. I would also love some more quest solutions. That said, the game is just plain fun. Combat manages to be a blast, and the gameplay is free enough to make you feel creative. That said, it will have to take more playthroughs for me to see how free the game really is. I'm stealing stuff all over the place on this playthrough for example, but I didn't plan for it. It's just that it's so easy to do. I wonder how much playthroughs will *really* differ. But yeah, it's addictive as hell and I'm off to play some more.

Replaying the Banner Saga. Quite a few things I don't like about this game, or things that I could nitpick, but overall I really enjoy it. Feels like a unique experience, and it's just fun to play and follow the story. Also been playing some Limbo. A game I've had sitting around for a long time. Fantastic art style and creepy as hell. Never thought a platformer (well, platformer/puzzler I guess) would creep me out like this. Feels a tad too much like trial-and-error at times though, maybe that's just me being bad at these types of games. Gonna try out Divinity: Original Sin once I finish the Banner Saga, thanks again for that HoonDing! You rock!

A nice person over at the Codex translated this article. Much better and more detailed than the english ones that have come out so far: http://freetexthost.com/ia2eflp4ra Thank you nice person at the Codex. EDIT: With this being a lot more detailed, there are obviously also more spoilers as to what happens in the demo segment. Read at your own risk!

Finished up Year Walk, a game that I got during the STEAM sale. http://store.steampowered.com/app/269050/ It's very short, a first-person puzzle game. It's made by swedes, and makes heavy use of swedish folklore which was wonderful I thought. Kinda enhanced the atmosphere for me personally a lot, though I've never heard of the practice of "year walking" before (then again, not many records of it exists according to the game's encyclopedia). The game's main puzzles were mostly fairly simple though one or two had me stumped for a bit. A fun thing is that the game has achievements that are real puzzles in themselves that you don't need to complete the game. Some of these are really hard to figure out I think! It has a neat little story. And you get a pretty big backstory if you finish up the game and then solve a certain puzzle after that. I don't know if I could recommend it at the current price but if it's on sale, it's a neat and creepy little game with a wonderful atmosphere that will keep you entertained for a few hours assuming you like puzzles.

I just want to say that HoonDing is the coolest mofo ever. THANK YOU!

If you're giving them away, I would loooooooooooove one!

Argh, should've used my money on this instead of picking up a bunch of smaller, cheaper games.

I'd advise everyone to check out this goddamn bundle: http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/aftershock-bundle/

I've got a copy of Civilization V (no expansions though) sitting around on my STEAM shelf if anyone wants it. Shoot me a message if you want it.

Starwars replied to Sensuki's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Another one for Concept Art here. Adds a nice little introduction to the area as you're waiting to enter it. Also, hopefully having some small texts on the screen as well. Whether general lore, little "reminders" or what your next task in the main quest is or gameplay hints. It's all good. -

Replaying Planescape: Torment. As always, it floors me how imaginative and just... fun it is. There's almost always something fun awaiting in a conversation. Great stuff. ... Until you get to Curst that is. I've just suffered through that, and the Baator section and ugh. The game takes such a nosedive there. Ah well, just a little while longer (the final bit of Curst) and then it's off to the end-game.

At least that's in the Fallout gorey spirit.

Finished up Mask of the Betrayer as an evil Bard, bwahahaahaha. The evil playthrough in this game is so delicious, even more-so if you go the *ultimate* evil route. Experience kinda marred though since I had some problems with one of the final conversations not firing, and the final, *final* battle as ultimate evil is kind of a huge pain.

I really, really enjoyed The Banner Saga all in all. But it's a pretty different game, there isn't anything quite like it. Don't expect a "regular RPG". It's more like a strategy game with RPG elements combined with some text adventures. There are plenty of things I hope will be fixed/addressed in the sequels. But for 15 bucks it's a bargain in my opinion. Just play it without savescumming, that's the best way to enjoy it.

Replaying Mask of the Betrayer (after replaying NWN2). I think, for whatever reason, I had more fun with NWN2 than ever before on this playthrough. Play an evil Bard who I am now taking into MotB. But yeah, it's so clear what an improvement MotB is. Not only the obvious stuff like the writing, but visually, audio-wise... Just everyhing is a big step up. Definitely one of my fav RPGs ever.

The sound clip when you call in the next immigrant to your booth will never leave my mind.

Truly a pioneer. And one of the those artists that really opened my mind when I first saw his stuff (well, I saw it in Alien at first but I mean in artwork form). Very sad that he passed away.

I saw the Wolf of Wall Street. A bit mixed on it. I mean, it was a thrill to follow really, no question there. At the same time, I think the whole showcase of excess gets to be a bit much at times. I know it's a dark comedy and all but it still felt like they were really shoving it down the audience's throats a lot of times. Gets tiresome. Though I must say that Leonardo Dicaprio was *extremely* good in this. Really nailed the sleazy, psychopathic "businessman" with no morals whatsoever.

It's made from demos (a lot of them have leaked to the internet before) that are updated by various producers. Songs selected are those which had pretty much complete vocals. The guy did have a huge selection of music that wasn't released. Always feel a bit weird about posthumously released material but I think, from what I've heard, that this album seems to be pretty well thought out at least. I've never been a pop fan but Michael Jackson is a big exception to that. He wrote some damn good stuff, from the early days up to his latest stuff. Fantastic musician.

Michael Jackson's posthumous release Xscape is soon released. Seems like there will be some really good stuff on there. This is just a fantastic pop-song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGlwTv90jdo
