  1. Nvidia 6100 benchmarks, or ATI x700 Pro benchmarks.
  2. Basically, Hades, everything I'm seeing on Google indicates that the X700 PRO is the best choice here. The 6100 is way, way below the x700 in terms of performance...hell, the 6100 keeps getting compared and set up in VS. tests with completely crappy factory made integrated cards...and barely winning.
  3. It's uncanny.
  4. All I hear on that site is noise, a wailing guitar, and indecipherable yammering.
  5. Listen to the Swede.
  6. They were given an original time frame to complete their project and extended themselves beyond their means, by their own admission, on multiple accounts. One might say that was to protect themselves from LA's lawyers, but there's truth to it. That's it...the change to the schedule came much later on in development, so it really doesn't have as much weight as it seems to be getting. These guys are used to longer dev cycles, and it shows. That's not a fault normally, but to take on a full title with a small window of time to create it, was not a good idea.
  7. And here's a review of the x700 pro... http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/vide...3211_3411451__2 .
  8. Well, according to this site, http://freestone-group.com/video-card-stab...rk-results.html , the 6100 is a bit better than a Geforce 4 MX.
  9. I've never even heard of that second card...
  10. Actually, I liked the BG:DA console games. Then again, I liked them for what they were, hack n' slash "rpg lite" games set in the BG universe, not an extension of the PC versions of BG. Plus, the ice caves were lovely.
  11. More and more, I'm wondering how mods are chosen... Length of the game depends on the type and if it's fun enough to make up for any shortcomings in that area. I blame LA for holding back patches, content request denial, and a very, very short time given to develop a full game. I blame OE for not building their game around the time frame they were given.
  12. Always nice to know. ...Hey, wait a minute.
  13. Still...why the console exclusives? I really wanted Mass Effect...and even JE. But I don't want to pay hundreds of $ in order to do so...
  14. As long as that change is for the better and not for the worse. Change for the sake of change is never good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wouldn't say never. "Sometimes" fits better in there. As for the original topic, since I never really got into the older IE games...and the stories don't even seem that good to me...I don't really have the capacity nor the inclination to miss them. The market's moving forward and adapting to consumer needs (Most consumers...not those of us capable of sitting around for hours and hours and hours to finish a 60+ hour story arch.). There's been some great, if flawed, titles so far, the KotOR series, the NWNs (Yes, 2 can and will be excellent. I have every confidence in Obsidian to deliver a quality product.), the TES series, Bloodlines, JRPGs, and a others. The future actually looks pretty bright, from where I'm sitting...
  15. We're America Of course our drones flip off the enemy before blowing them up with some sort of wrist mounted rocket with a clever slogan written on it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, I think the middle finger IS the rocket.
  16. Incubus - 11 A.M.
  17. You can't be very mobile when standing or sitting in an M1A2 or a HUMVEE. Well, you can be...very, very mobile in fact, but not on a personal level. And columns move pretty damned slowly down city streets...or hell, just guarding check points. It doesn't help to be mobile when you're guarding your post and hear that first sniper round off in the distance...you're as good as dead without some sort of protection if you're the target that time. Train as much as you want, there's no outrunning a Dragunov.
  18. It's like a new Fullhouse series...a deeply disturbing one.
  19. Diabolical! Cruel! ...wait...more of a :'(
  20. (w00t) God, I can't quit laughing at this!
  21. ...Driving into combat zones without the benefit of armored vehicles, or body armor. You never, ever, ever send your soldiers in without the basic personal protection they need. I mean, parents were buying their kids body armor for freakin' christmas!
  22. Nope, but that didn't seem to bother their peers, the three who knew to, I dunno, run.
  23. Some stuff was ungodly stupid in the RE movies...like professional soldiers standing still and letting lumbering zombies tackle them kind of stupid. All in all though, entertaining, if angering 'cause of the total lack of sense.
