i thought the same. i made mention of the movie a few posts before you. they really screwed up the entire time travel thing, but overall, that's not really what i cared about with the movie. ultimately, it was very entertaining. taks yeah when he gets in the "time machine" thing that was kind of like a low point but the whole concept of watching video back in time and trying to send clues was pretty cool imo.

Yep, because Canada, France, and the UK all of which have free health care have such a low standard of living, it's no where near ours, right? I don't think so. Universal health care would work fine. Why don't people just watch the film before they come in with all this nonesense. I mean you can say what you want about Moore but I mean when he walks into multiple hospitals in other countries and not one single person is paying a dime, (in England they freakin pay YOU if you don't have transportation) and hospitals where people only wait 10-20 minutes if it's really busy, and also sponsor programs that are just straight ridiculous. House call doctors, unlimited sick time, long maternal leaves, a moving day off, honeymoon vacation, all of this paid for by the gov and employer, and these countries are just as or even more productive than America, thats the proof. There is no spin, no manipulation, no fraud in those, so what are you even talking about? There is no way to refute those facts. The health care system in America is abominable, its rated 37 in the world right above Cuba. Kind of like our education system, right behind Madagascar. America is just a melting pot of horribly sick jokes.

I hate how people have these preconceived notions about Moore and then totally discredit anything he has to say. Yes he is biased, yes he manipulates stories but the facts are still there, somewhere. The whole American system is morally bankrupt, insurance agencies and the government are corrupt (- opinion). The health care system is a business, where their main objective is to maximize profits instead of making their care the best and available to as many people as possible. American's pay when something goes wrong, sometimes a substantial amount. Canadians don't pay a cent (except in taxes, which is infinitely less than what most operations/therapy/drugs cost). Where is that wrong or biased or exaggerated? Is it a fluke that Canadians live 3 years longer than Americans? You are the ones who are being biased, and manipulative of the information. You're no better than Moore, neither am I but I'm more objective than anymore so go jump off a cliff.

Playing Quake Wars beta as of today. Pretty cool game but I doubt I will buy it since it doesn't really bring anything new to the table at all. I mean it reminds me of ut 2006 beta just battlefield 1942ified, which is kind of worse in some aspects.

Went hiking again today. 8 miles, last 2 miles were really bad. Just super hot and sunny. Plus all my water and stuff was just a tad colder than luke warm so I was like :'(

Theres a video showing the differences between dx9 and 10 in crysis. To say there are hardly any differences is a complete lie. There was only one part where they looked very similar, however I hope they would be cool and have the game still support dx 9 since vista sucks.

Side note: Moon landing was staged in the Nevada desert.

Watched Black Snake Moan. Decent movie I guess, had no problem with watching Ricci being half naked half the movie but the movie overall wasn't anything special. 7/10

I also watched Hot Fuzz today. Pretty entertaining movie. The trailer was a tad bit misleading, however I was amused throughout the movie so all was good. 8/10

Watched Deja Vu. Beginning was somewhat slow but once it got going it was definitely a nice movie. The hummer chase scene thing was a bit cheezy and the ending was a bit anticlimactic but all in all I liked the movie, plus I'm a sucker for Denzel Washington since he's a bad ass. 8/10

X-men original saturday morning cartoon was the best show ever created in the history of media history.

I also forgot to put mkreku in my h8 list. Reasons being: He's a dirty swede, he's proud to be a swede, and he has a hot girlfriend who is also blonde. It's just disgraceful.

Don't know if anyone already posted this but it seems spore has been delayed until 2009. As of now I could really care less considering they suck and are completely unreliable schmucks who don't know how to do anything right. I was shocked how well done it was. I really liked how it captured what Mayan civilization might have looked like in its decline. The history wasn't perfect, but the images of the slash and burn agriculture, social castes, and tradeskills like tanning were excellent. It was also a very solid action movie. Also a great comedy. First like 15 minutes were pretty funny, made me a bit confused too seeing as they get you think the main character is the one dude then they just switch it on you.
