  1. They are both pixels and drawings. Sorry, I don't find such things appealing.
  2. If the bottom line is to make unfun games then I will be taking my money elsewhere.
  3. Why? They're NPCs and you have no control over them. I am more concerned with what the player has access to them since it is the player who is playing the game.
  4. It was zero challenge. Stop being diplomatic about it.
  5. I still don't see the point of this poll. We alredy know we play human. Why does it matter about NPCs. Its the PCs that matter in a role playing game.
  6. When I play a 1st level character his or her background needs to reflect that. Sorry, but I just don't see it as plausible for a 1st level character being a veteren of the Mandalorian Wars. 3rd to 4th maybe, but definitely not 1st.
  7. I have no problem by that as long as the game is a good representation of the rules it is based on. KotOR2 is based on Star Wars PnP game and should reflect it instead of being a simplistic zero challenge hack job that KotOR1 was.
  8. If someone gets scared over a game then they are too weak willed to play the game.
  9. Man, are you just ignorant or just plain stupid? That would fall under the Knowledge: Life Sciences.
  10. DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD! DVD!
  11. Have you ever saw a kevlar robe? For godsakes, man, don't you have a sense of style?
  12. I never wore any robes. I found them to be silly. Yes, lets wear cloth into combat! I wore armor, either some high grade light armor from Yavin or solidly built medium armor in ealier inthe game if the character had the proficiency for it. Robes aren't going to stop a blaster bolt. if you fail to deflect it. Good armor will.
  13. All this attention on a set of polygons. Sheesh.
  14. I not only hope it wourks I hope that it is plausbile and and builds a challenge to the game unlike the first KotOR.
  15. Thats a pic that mirrors what I expect a 8 Charisma to look like.
  16. Actually time limits would be pretty keen. I remember the old Bard's Tale 2 and the infamous Snares of Death trap rooms. In each of these rooms was an item you needed to retrieve and if you didn't solve the puzzle here in a certain amount of time, the enitre party was killed. We need more of that hardcore action in our CRPGs. Today's CRPGs are just a bunch of panseys.
  17. If Obsidian wants to do right on this game they should put in more skills, and most certainly break up persuade with Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Bluff. More feats and force powers are nice, but I prefer more skills and good uses for them.
  18. Nah, nothing is wrong. Its just that on rare occassions I say something that everyone can agree with. Doesn't happen often so don't get use to it.
  19. That is why I am always for CRPGs use their own original system made by the developers instead trying to shoe horn a PnP rules system to a computer. Its never going to happen to a satisfactory level. That is why games like Fallout, Fallout 2, and Arcanum will always be superior to games like KotOR, NWN, and V:TM. If they could do KotOR and KotOR 2 story in an original rules system I wouldn't be whinging. :D Well, maybe I would but not as much.
  20. Well, if it was Cyberpunk 2020 they have a Wrist Rocket Launcher that is vry plausible in its design in their Chrome Book 1. :D
  21. I am not making a fuss, kay maybe a lil' but if you are going to put weapons like that they need to be plausible in their design and in their workings.
  22. Damn, I need to frame that. Twice in one life time! That must be a new record.
  23. What you don't get that there are multiple hit point systems available for use in the d20 System that can make the game very realistic or very abstract depending on the style of gameplay. There was no real good reason for Bioware to change the Wound/Vitality system the way the did for the first KotOR nor is there any good reason for Obsidian to keep it. The only consistancy I need is that the game reflects the rules that it is base on which in this case being Star Wars d20. If they are incapable due to their lack of talent or technical expertise then they should use an original system instead of trying to butcher the set rules. As you say, there needs to be consistancy.
  24. Only the Shadow knows... BWAAAAHAAAAhAAAAAAA!
