  1. You are telling me to shut up? Don't you know by now that never works. Argh... noobies. She looks likes like Tank Girl meets Bobba Fett. Wrist Rocket in that pic of her is highly improbable however. Wrist Rocket system would be too heavy for a mere flesh arm to hand. She will would burn her hand each time the rocket is released. She will either need to have a cybernetic appendage or a full battle glove on that arm. I haven't seen that video either so its it an instant firing of the boosters or is it air propelled from the jettison device which then the rockets fire after a good 4 to 6 feet distance from Mira?
  2. Oh dear gods, what are you freak monkeys talking about now? Your KotOR2 love interest? Hebbie Jebbie has it right, whot the frak cares? Its a video game.
  3. Stop trying to freeload and get a job.
  4. SPEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW!
  5. I bet you wouldn't say that to Monte Cook's face, nightcleaver. Hell, even Sean K. Reynolds is one of the top designers of the d20 System as are Stan! and Ryan Darcy. I am sure that all these authors don't have a college education. Now attacking the Hit Point system of the d20 System is downright stupid because there are multiple systems compatible with the d20 System. There is the Wound/Vitality system that is used in Star Wars d20/Spycraft. There is the baseline that is in DnD d20. There is changes in the Massive Damage rules in d20 Modern that reflects closer to reality. Such as if your character takes more than his Damage Threshold (which is the Constitution Score) he has to make a Fortitude save. Failed save means down to -1 and you are dying. A Solid hit with a 9mm handgun (baseline 2d8 damage) can send anyone to the floor in one hit. May they have 100 hit points or 20. Hmm... kind of blows your theory out o the water there, nightcleaver. Also there are detailed combat systems in Unearthed Arcana that doesn't even use hit points at all. Gee, have you taken them into account. I guess us uneducated DMs have access to various different types of damage systems that reflect reality pretty darn good, eh. I bet you even seen the Grim and Gritty combat rules written by Kevin Dorner. Yep, we DMs are mighty uneducated. They wrote the Star Wars system as they did to balance Force users and the rest of the PCs so the fun can be had by all players and all characters/ Making one class uber and the focus is just poor design.
  6. I was refering to ShinIchiro's post. What the hell are you talking about? What Galaxy Druid?
  7. True. :D It doesn't change the fact that KotOR failed to be a challenge and KotOR2 is going to follow the same vein.
  8. Well, it hasn't been done yet.
  9. I have played quite a number of FPS games. Half Life, Deus Ex, Quake, Unreal, Doom, and so forth. Not much of a challenge there.
  10. A good game, yes. A good Computer Role Playing Game, no.
  11. Yes, I have defeated the Omega, Nemesis, Ruby, and Emerald. Don't remember if I defeated or came across Penance. I found that each one has a specific sequence of attacks that it is weak against. Keep up the sequence and the characters alive you will win quite handedly. It has been a very long time that I have played any of the FF games. Sold them all when I got rid of my PS2. Couldn't find a CRPG on it that was fun and challenging.
  12. Of course, but when I do game, which is not very often nowadays, I want a game that will challenge me and give a good immersive story to it that allows me to play a character I wish within the seting it is providing. KotOR failed to do that.
  13. KotOR didn't expand the market. It made it weaker, therefore more acceptable to the "casual" gamer who can't handle a real game.
  14. Well, every console CRPG that I have played have been pretty damn linear and easy. Final Fantasy 7,8, and 10 have been pretty damn linear and absolutely no challenge. Including the hidden bosses that youwant to put into KotOR2. Breath of Fire 3 was pretty damn easy as well as the Lunar series, Wild Arms, and every Zelda game I played was a freaking snorefest with how difficult those games were.
  15. First off KotOR is not a real CRPG. It is too limited in character development and far too linear in its story format to be what I consider a real CRPG. Fallout, BG, and Arcanum are what I consider real CRPGs. If KotOR scares them then they have a weak stomach and a weak mind. Go play Unreal Torunement, Jedi Knight, Quake, or Dark Forces.
  16. Coomercially not a bad idea. Gaming wise it is a terrible idea. It cheapens the experience of the PC CRPGs. Making easy and linear CRPGs is just a waste of code for the PC and a waste of time playing it.
  17. Bottom line they need to do a better job in balancing the game against force users, make the game more of a challenge, and allow non-force users have more options. Eliminate the need to metagame to make the game harder or to play a non-force user will help in that. Applying the combat rules, and weapon damages, written in the PnP system would improve the game greatly as well.
  18. We need to tell Obsidian what the hell is wrong with KotOR so they can fix as many of the problems the original had as possible, thus make KotOR2 a better game.
  19. I don't. I play games to be challenged as well as for the story. In order for a game to be really engaging it needs to be difficult enough that I need to focus my energy and play it to the best of my ability. If a game cannot do that it is weak. KotOR was indeed better than the NWN OC, but then again nearly everything except for ToEE is.
  20. I hate Paris Hilton.
  21. KotOR1 was a good cinematic game but hardly a challenging CRPG. Fallout is an example of a good challenging CRPG, KotOR1 is not.
  22. It seems Canada is different. :D
  23. What is wrong with wanting a good challenging game without the need to have a munchkin character forced on you or be forced to metagame?
  24. Either use it in full or ditch it in full and make your own. I am so glad that Bioware finally ditched d20 for Dragon Age.
  25. Yeah, but you definition of Fun seems to be my definition of boring.
