  1. That is why they need to make it the way it was meant to be in the Star Wars d20 PnP game with the Wound/Vitality system. Vitality goes down each time you use a force power or whenever you get struck by a non-critical hit. It is hit die based so each time you go up in level it increases. Once it reaches zero for whatever the reason you start take Wound damage. Wound damage equals to your constitution score and gets struck each time you get hit after you are at 0 Vitality or if you get critically struck. If Wounds go to zero you are permanently dead. It would force force use to a minimum for it willhave dire effects on how well your character is effective in combat. It would also balance the field a little bit.
  2. With that hair that is definitely a feat.
  3. That would be metagaming and I doubt metagame. If we are forced to playa Jedi it makes sense for that Jedi to use whatever skills he or she has to overcome his or her foes. To limit it to no Force using by artificial means, player controlled means, would be metagaming and that is just as bad as powergaming and munchkinism. If I can ignore the Force usage I don't want to be a Force using class.
  4. I am picturing Mon Calamari being something similar to Selkath.
  5. That is why it would be nice to have the ability to play a non-jedi/force user. Not every adversary is going to be a Jedi/Sith. By making the Jedi/Sith so uber everything else is going to be a freaking cake walk. Once we are of enough level in a force using class the other force users will also be a cake walk. I hate cake walks.
  6. Its just sickening.
  7. If KotOR2 is going to be like KotOR1 there won't be any tough foes.
  8. Thing is I rather make a character like Mira than be forced to play a goddamn Jedi. Cool stuff like that should be in hands of the Player created characters that way it actually means something.
  9. As far as I am concerned the casuapl gamer should stick to being console monkeys. I am a hardcore computer role playing gamer and I would like to see some new hardcore CRPGs get released. So far the last good Hardcore CRPG released was Arcanum and that was years ago.
  10. I just think that there are enough of them withthe first game and powerful enough as it is. We do not need to put more in the game nor increase their power. What is needed is more creative ways to use the force powers that are already there.
  11. You guys have to be some real Star Wars freaks to know all those planet names.
  12. The same goddamn problem that KotOR had. Console related CRPGs are no challenge.
  13. Oh no, someone is force choking me. My life is flashing before my eyes. Oh, what can I ever do to stop this force choke. Oh my. Give me a freaking break, Darth boy.
  14. KotOR2 has already branching out in areas not a real CRPG. First off it is based on a rules system that already exists. A proper CRPG would be as close to this rules system as possible. Bioware already butchered it once with limiting character creation and totally revamping the force, wound/vitality, and combat system Now we have Obsidian raping it again with further character creation limitations, boosting max level to 30, and making the force powers even stronger than they should be. All this crap has butchered the rules of the game. Hell if Bioware didn't want to use the blasted rules as is why the hell use them in the first place. Why the hell is Obsidian continuing the stupidity with making the game and the Jedi even more munchkiny. A real CRPG is Fallout. KotOR 2 is not so I guess it really wouldn't matter if you add elements of Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts. It couldn't ruin it any more than it already has beem.
  15. I like Mark Hammil's recent work. He didn't to VO in WIng Commander, he actually acted in WC3, WC4, and WC:P and acted damn good. He also did voice work in HoW. I always use his voice for a halfling fighter/rogue. He kicked arse as the voice of the Joker. Mark Hammil rulez.
  16. Sheesh people. The Jedi/Sith force users are already munchkin enough as it is. There is no reason to give them more freaking power.
  17. Its bad enough that they are butchering the rules even worse than Bioware that freakmonkeys want Final Fantasy bulls*** in the game. I just wished people like that go off and play FFX-2 at let CRPGs be real CRPGs instead of anime wannabe s***.
  18. Please don't. Buy a hundred copies of MGS2 and go bitch on their board. I'm going to bitch on this forum anyway, I might as well make sure it will be around by buying Obsidian games.
  19. For godsakes, its not Final Fantasy but based on d20 System Star Wars, a real role playing game.
  20. In one of the Expanded Universe thingies there was a sect that used the Dark Side of the Force for strictly defensive purposes and instead of lightsabers they used similar technology to create body armor.
  21. Mods are nice, but being able to do this without a mod would be better. :D Thanks for the link though, Ghostie.
  22. Who says I am throwing grenades. I would use a microgrenade launcher that can shoot 2 to 3 grenades every 3 seconds.
  23. I hardly ever used her or the little droid for her skills and its were hardly ever needed.
  24. I know. Its stupid. I am just saying that in many CRPGs, from Fallout to Neverwinter Nights, 0 hit pointsa (wounds, life, whatever) means death. Without real character death and consequences for character death (may it be PC or NPC) it cheapens the game and the game's overall challenge level.
  25. That is stupid. If you get sliced in half by a lightsaber you are dead, not merely unconscious.
