Dammit, I am only 3 decades old. That isn't old. REALLY! For godsakes I listen to Marylin Manson, Prodigy, and Enya... LOUD! Old people wouldn't do that. *grumble... I'm not old... grumble*

Carth is very useful... As canonfodder. Mission was also very useful... as sniperbait. -
Is there anything you don't like about KotOR2?
Judge Hades replied to JEDIDAN12386's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Most of the time if I don't complain about something it usually means I didn't like it or don't care to make its sequels better, or look forward to a patch to make the game itself better. Sometimes I just hate the game. -

Gee, its great being loved. There are a few things about this game that bothers me, asid e that its a Biwoare Hand-me-down so I will list them all. First and foremost being forced to play a Force user. Yes, I know it has "Knights" in the title but I have played the Star Wars PnP RPG, both WEG and WotC's version and I like playing my character. I stay away from the munchkin characters and if I had the choice of any class in SW d20 it would be the Scoundrel or the Noble. Hell, I wouldn't mind multiclassing them for a really interesting character. :D Like I said, I would stay away from lame munchkin characcters which all the force using classes are. Another thing I hated about KotOR is its combat. There is no way to do any sort of strategic or tactic combat in KotOR and I assume, since it uses the same engine and style, KotOR2 will be done in the same way. I go into solo mode to have one character stand in one location, then when I solo another character by switching the first character runs off and blows any sort of plan I would have had. Bottomline, the combat sucks. Speaking of combat I really do not like the Phase combat system. Either make it full real time or make it full turn base. Being in the middle is bad, squish like bug bad. I really hate crap like that. Another aspect I hated about KotOR, which it will most probably follow suit in KotOR2, is the damn linearity of the game. Sure you determine what planet order you visit places but each planet had its own linear systematic quest structure that was very narrow in its story arc. I mean, I could beat the game blind folded and I only played KotOR three and a half times. Anyway, these are my problems with KotOR2. Beyond that I expect it to be a decent game. Now, was that so bad? -
Old Trilogy vs. New Trilogy vs. KOTOR

Special effects should be there to enhance the story, not used to tell the story. George Lucas failed in that regard. Oh, I can diss trekkies all I want. I am one. -

Tyrell, the difference between a brown noser and an a*skisser is depth perception. Keep on justifying George Lucas amateurish work, maybe... just maybe he might drop you an e-mail which no doubt you will cherish always. Here is another inconsistancy: the Death Star. The Death Star was Tarkin's baby, if you follow the comments made by him and his crew towards Anakin/Vader you would know this. It was quite obvious, but all of a sudden back thirty years Count Poodoo had the plans himself. Also another thing that bothered me. It was in an Expanded Universe thingy that Vader lost his arm to the Emporer due to his failure at the Death Star yet in the Episode 2 it was lost by Count Poodoo. Oh well, you will just come up with another excuse to justify the inconsistancies. Man, you are worse than a Trekkie, Tyrell. -

ahh, but don't forget what Obi-Wan said to Luke when Luke asked why he said that Darth Vader murdered his father instead of telling him Vader was his father. Some truths are seen from a certain point of view. And from a certain point of view, Yoda was his master because Yoda was a Jedi Master on the council and Obi-wan took his instructions from the council. Oh, don't go onto that bullsh*t. Don't even try to cover up GLs stupidity. -

Wrong on that, Tyrell. At least for me you are wrong. One thing I hate in movies are story inconsistancies and Ep 1, 2, and most like 3 have major story inconsistancies where it comes to episodes 4, 5, and 6. THese inconsistancies kill the suspension of disbelief and kills any sort of fun watching them. What kind of inconsistancies am I talking about? Obi-wan Kenobi said his master was Yoda in Episode 5. WHo was Obiwan's master? Quigon Jin. How about that stupid crap about the mitachloirans (msp)? Kind of inconsistant in what was in the Original Trilogy isn't in. THis sort of thing pisses me off and why I hate Star Wars and George Lucas. THe franchise should have been the original 3 movies and that is it. -
Wich Jedi Class will you choose to K2?

Does it matter? THey all basically play the same. -
How couldn't you? George Lucas is trying to mirror the style of the original trilogy with the prequels. It was evident in the first movie as well withthe seocnd movie. The original was Return of the Jedi so natually the Ep. 3 will be titled Revenge of the Sith.

Anyone who didn't see that one coming back when Ep. 1 was announced definitely needs their head examine.

It looks like George Lucas and Star Wars even got more stupid. -
The game was extremely easy, almost boringly easy.
-
Yes, but it still remains only 2 endings. The Dark Side still plays the same whether you are male or female. The Light Side still plays the same whether you are male or female.
-
Yes it is. There is Dark SIde ending. There is the Light Side ending. Nothing else.
-
Its going to have the same number of endings as the first. 2. One Darkside, One light side.

How much do you want our character defined?

I want to feel like I am playing my character not the developers. As open ended as possible. -
How many more KOTOR games will there be?
Judge Hades replied to GhostofAnakin's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Arcanum was okay, ToEE was a POS, and Bloodlines looks like a Goth version of Deus Ex. Overall, I am not impressed by their ability to make games.
