How many more KOTOR games will there be?
Judge Hades replied to GhostofAnakin's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hey, for the sequel of KotOR2 lets have Troika do it this time. -
Old Trilogy vs. New Trilogy vs. KOTOR
Judge Hades replied to sandman1347's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
vs. the Matrix. Gotta have the Matrix in that equation. -
Then try one of these. Star Wars Battlefront Star Wars Republic Commando Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. None of those are CRPGs. I would like to play a CRPG, not a bloodly MMOPRG, in the Star Wars universe that the character I make will never ever be a stupid munchkin force user.

Just because one aspect of TSL sucks doesn't mean I think the whole game will suck. So far it looks like combat, NPC control, and character creation is going to suck. Doesn't mean the other bits of the game will suck. -
SHOULD OBSIDIAN LEAVE KOTOR II MODABLE?

It has been answered so time to move on. -

I was wondering the samething! That makes 3 of us. What? So I like KotOR. Is it that unbelievable? -

I liked KotOR for the most part, except for the combat. KotOR's combat and NPC control was the worse I have ever played. Beyond that it was a good game. -

Do you seriously think that LucasArts would want KotOR2 modable? They kept Bioware closing and deleting threads in their KotOR forums should be a clue that LucasArts HAVE NO FREAKING INTEREST FOR PLAYERS TO MOD THEIR GAME! Take a clue folks, Obsidian isn't going to make the game moddable for you. -
Old Trilogy vs. New Trilogy vs. KOTOR
Judge Hades replied to sandman1347's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Star Wars is one intellectual property that should have stayed withthe original 3 movies. Not all this bullcrap Expanded Universe, not the lameness of the prequels, not the downright inane computer and console games. I love the original 3 movies, but nearly everything else Star Wars sucks. The only thing that doesn't suck in Star Wars was the Zahn trilogy and KotOR. -

That would be easy to do. Don't have Mark Hamill play Luke. -

Goerge Lucas basically killed the Darth Vader character. -

On the Poorly Planned part: Obi-wan Kenobi has been around R2D2 a good while in the first 2 films, and possibly the third movie more than likely. Yet there is no plausible reason why his character would forget the droid in Episode 4. He would know R2D2. This is the problem with doing prequels in general. On the Poorly Acted front: THe kid they got to play Anakin was downright terrible. Also the over use of CG, and I mean obvious CG, constitutes as bad acting. CG will always be worse than a real actor. Another bad and over acting was the whole Darth Maul fight. Sheesh. Also another bad acted and action sequence was the fight with Yoda and Dooku. That was freaking ridiculous. For example of poor writing I give you the entire movie of Episode One: What the hell is Anakin supposed to be? Jesus freaking Christ? Man, downright pathetic. Also again the over sentimentality that drenches the two movies was way too freaking much to be believable. The first thing a writer learns in writing fiction is don't over dramatize. Episode 1 and 2, whenever Anakin or Amidala was involved it was over dramatized and fake. It was weak. Backstory is meant to be backstory. -

They are poorly written, poorly planned, and poorly acted. -

The original trilogy, in their original form were so kickarse. The original trilogy in the current and future form is ass. The prequel movies are pieces of s***. The KotOR is far better than the prequel. -

Cosmo, Karzak is an irredeemable ass. There is no point talking reasonable to him. -

Ghandi method of doing things might get things done, but it isn't as satisfying as being able to rip the heads off those who piss you off. I do have a lot of anger and hate, Cosmo. I hate George W. Bush. I hate Cheney. I hate the Republican party and I will always hate them. I don't have much love for the Democrats either. If I could I would destroy the current form of government, and all of its beaucracy and forma more streamline, more perfect and democratic government. Wipe them all out, and start over.. -

Right, so I should use a rocket propelled grenades so I could take out Cheney and the others around him. -

LOL, of course I do, that is why I just sent a letter to my congressman with the link asking that these people be investigated and prosecuted. You gotta fight for your beliefs, like I just did. That is your perogative, Karzak. If you want to support a court appointed president who got a "Gentlemen's C" at his Ivy league college, had his military records "lost," lied about WMDs to go to war, and lets his corporate buddies have full reign over things more power to you. Fight for your beliefs and I will fight for mine. If voting doesn't work, violence will. -

I don't really care how the number works out, Taks. All I know is that my vote is meaningless which is why I don't vote in presidential elections nor do I pay taxes. -

As long as the Electorial COllege is in place the Popular vote is meaningless, therefore the votes of the average citizen is meaningless. It doesn't matter if these people vote or not in November as long as that archaic institution is still in place. -
If some one was to make Pokemon/Star Wars crossover Pikachu would make a kickarse Palpatine. :D
