  1. Fearless, I rather have a bugless game released later than get the game now and have it patch later.
  2. Technically NWN is Phase Base. Overall I liked Morrowind better, but NWN has better mods.
  3. In Kanada the education system is more lax it seems.
  4. Volourn, you got your grading scale all **** up, you do know that. 81 to 90 is the B range.
  5. It definitely will be greater than KotOR 1.
  6. It would be a dab story telling to leave the cliffhanger unfulfilled, but I also agree to a point with Tyrell. This is what I would do. Create an expansion pack for KotOR 2 that would be both an add in and add on to KotOR 2 to end that story line. Then make a separate Star Wars RPG license that adheres closer to the game mechanics of the Star Wars d20 PnP game or use completely different and original rules set. I don't like the FF framework, since each Star Wars CRPGs will take place in the same setting, which wasn't true in the FF games. I would follow the same framework as the Ultima series. Each game builds upon the previous, but not tied specifically to those events. Also if I was to create a new series I would design a trilogy from beginning to end right off. That way you can plan better elvel pacing than the originals and allow the player to use the same character throughout each game.
  7. Yep. Too bad for those old X-Boxers. HAHAHA!
  8. Like I said, I am not going into this argument over again. Nice try to bait me, but its not going to work.
  9. Sorry, but Weapon FInesse doesn't work that way. Adding both strength and dexterity to a to hit would be nuts. Espcially if you have a character type that has both 18 strength and 18 Dexterity. That would give a +4 damage, + 4 Defense, +8 to attack, for a total of +16. can we say MUNCHKIN! Keep it as it is.
  10. That was the whole package, Volourn. We have had this discussion before yet you remain an idiot for not understanding my position. I will not get into the same argument again for it is pointless since you refuse to understand. I gave the software an oveall a grade of C.
  11. I hardly need an excuse, numberman. Hell, I am not a FPS type bt I bought Unreal 2004 on DVD. Once I get the money aside I will probably buy Pirates DVD.
  12. I have to concur with Volourn. It just makes good sense. Besides once you reach the higher levels and wealth, why bother picking up a blaster?
  13. Neverwinter Nights is a fairly complex overall. On one side it is a technological marvel with a powerful, yet easy to use tool system, a DM client, and great multiplayer. Add in the best continual technical support that any game has ever seen and you do have one the the best technical marvels of modern gaming. Its just that the OC sucked. Its great and terrible at the same time. Only Bioware could make a game with that level of separation in quality.
  14. The only thing I care to comment on KotOR 2 right now is its game mechanics, whichis widely known and the way it is currently set up sucks. It keeps the n00bie uber-munchkin player in mind and ignores the veteren gamers.
  15. That would be a good thing, Bully-man, but all indications still point Feb. 8th.
  16. Well, first off the inventory system needs major reworking. If they implemented a Weight/bulk system along with realistic baddie inventory Things are going to be pretty balanced. As someone pointed out earlier you have teh Ebon Hawk's storage space. Why not set up a system that actually forces the player to use it. There isn't going to be a perfect system but their are plenty of systems out there better than the Random Loot Gneration and endless invenotries.
  17. The big deal is that a game is less than a month away from release and such basic information has yet been stated. You would think they would know the minimum requirements and recommended requirements by now and if they do why not post them on the website like many other publishers/developers do when a game is about to be released. Something is up.
  18. USE BLOODY SPOILER TAGS DAMMIT!
  19. KotOR. Sure it had some bad writing in places, and a nonexistant plot twist, but overall an enjoyable game. Best Star Wars game I have ever played.
  20. Hmmm... Those head tails...
  21. To see how bad or good it is before hand.
  22. What you need to do is start off with a scripting master template. Once you have that working for general purposes You do a cut and paste for each subtype, which you then tailor make it for that one subtype. Master Template you set primary weapon, primary armor and have random amount of money, a possible secondary weapon, random chance of 3 misc. items. An example of subtype would be LowDarkJedi. Low level Dark Jedi would have is primary weapon (Light saber), basic Dark Jedi armor, ramdom money, possible small blade, sith blaster, or nothing as secondary weapon. Of the misc. items it could be one or two low powered crystals, or a medpack, computer slicer, or whatnot. Cut and paste and put in a midDarkJedi, then alter. Mid level Dark Jedi might have 1, or 2 lightsabers, or even a double light saber as his primary weapon, basic Dark Jedi armor, ramdom money, a secondary weapon such as a sith blaster or nothing as secondary weapon. Of the misc. items it could be one or two mid powered crystals, or a medpack, computer slicer, or whatnot. Cut and paste and put in a HighDarkJedi, then alter. High level dark Jedi will have a double lightsaber or 2 lightsabers, moderately powerful Dark Jedi armor, ramdom money, no need for a secondary weapon. Of the misc. items it could be one or two high powered crystals, or a medpack, computer slicer, or whatnot.
  23. A lot of that coding is owned by Biowaer, and not Obsidian. Even they wanted to I doubt that Biwoare will give them permission to open source the files of KotOR 2.
  24. I also agree with Drakon. If a enemy is using a weapon and its not destroy during combat, for some odd reason, it should be in the loot pile. As well as any armor that wasn't completely destroyed. I think this how it should be done. Have a random loot chart for all group types. Dark Jedi would be one group type, while Civilian Thug would be another type. You have each group type have its own set items. Dark Jedi would be Lightsaber and basic Dark Jedi robes, for a thug it might be a basic blaster and a light combat suit (at most a +3 Defense value). Sure these items wil be important at the lower levels but once you hit the mid range to upper mid range, 6th to 12th level, these items will not even be worth picking up. Beside set items do a random bit of items that one particular subgroup might have. There is an equal chance that they will not have anything. In this way you have set items which the adversary obviously used while still keep the random lot done in a realistic fashion. Best of both worlds.
