Couldn't one devise a modeller converter? I mean the base graphics are the same, its just the interpretation of the encoding that is different. Right?

I am hoping that Obsidian learns from this experience from Lucas Arts and refuse to do any future titles with that publisher that obviously doesn't give a crap about their games or customers. I mean, if they did they wouldn't have released KotOR 2 in the sorry state it is in to begin with.

Its a MMORPG therefore irrelevant. I have played this game and no, it is a shooter. It is not released in the US therefore irrelevant to me. Not a CRPG, therefore irrelevant. Not a CRPG therefore irrelevant. All of these are Mods therefore irrelevant and not CRPGs. Nice try.

With the complete mishandling of KotOR 2 I am wondering how Lucas Arts will spin themselves favorable again in time for Episod 3.

Of course it is a ridiculous theory. Most conspiracy theories are. But to back it up. Fact 1: Lucas Arts, who have direct control of when the game is released releases KotOR 2 for the X-Box and PC in this sorry state. Fact 2: They know when a game is faced with these problems the majority of the fanbase goes after the developers and not the publishers. Fact 3: They made critical choices to downgrade the game quality compared to the original. For example the music. Fact 4: Their QA has the patch and had it for weeks. They purposely are not letting people know what it fixes and also know the more the patch is delayed the same group of people complaining to Obsidian will even moreso get on Obsidian's case even though Obsidian has no control over the patch at this time. Need more?

Nope, but I have a theory. They purposely wanted KotOR 2 to be bad. They got a start up company to do the sequel and gave them only a year to do it. They rushed the game and not give it a proper QA in order to sabotage the game. Why you ask, because they knew that KotOR 3 will be developed in house for the next X-Box only. This way they can ditch the PC audience due to the horridness of the bugs in KotOR 2 and look like Saviors to the X-Boxers when a bug free-though ineptly written KotOR 3 is released.

All you really need to do is make it into an actual mod.

I have no intention of rethinking my definittion of what is a CRPG and yes, I do play a lot of the older games. Except for a few, they are the only ones' I can stomach.

Unreal engine has been made for primary shooters so it is a shooter engine. What ifs are irrelevant. Only what they have actually done withthe engine matters.

Its at Lucas Arts QA department and they haven't heard from them since. That is the last I heard of it from a credible source. Mind you that information is a week and a half old, but until I hear an update from a credible source, NOT LUCAS ARTS, I am acting on that information.

tmp, game mechanics is only a part of the game and that is all. Take a look at the total game, the game that you play. Nothing else matters. Bottomline, you lose.

Well, I have used plenty of unerwear mods. I am just curious why they went that drab brown near body suit. I never have seen people wear underwear like that.

MMOPRGS are a totally different animal thana CRPG. A CRPG is Baldur's Gate 2, MW, ASrcanum, NWN, IWD, and the such. Lineage 2 is a MMORPG like Ultima Online, Anarchy Online, WoW, and Everquest. THEY ARE VASTLY DIFFERENT! Prime example what is the central story to Lineage 2. How long does it take to complete? Its a FREAKING MMORPG that only purpose is to level mill. Sorry, but that is not a CRPG. A CRPG has a definite beginning and a definite end where a story is told. MMORPGS do not have that therefore not CRPGs.

Its not a MMO. No annoying PKers screaming in elite speak.

Lineage 2 is not a CRPG. Its a MMORPG. All MMORPGs suck.

You are dreaming. The patch is to fix technical problems only. There is no contnt patch. Lets stick to the facts here and the facts are Lucas Arts will not pay for a content patch, not admit its mishandling of KotOR 2 in the QA process, or tell the truth on anything relating to KotOR 2.
