It matters for whomever will be making the game will be wasting their time when dealing with LA. They would be better off making a different game and deal with a different publisher. LA is not worth doing business with. Need an example, look at the condition of KotOR 2 and LA's handling of the game.

Well, if LA had a competent QA staff and gave the game another 6 months of development time maybe they wouldn't be patching the game now. Publishers need to learn that a game needs to be release when it is done.

The X-Box version needs patching too. They just can't really do it since there is no Live connection for the game. The headaches are coming from LA's inept handling of the situation. LA rushed the game out. LA's QA for the game failed. LA is now holding the patch for whatever reason. LA is the one not allowing Obsidian to finish the game. If peeps at LA weren't being a bunch of incompetent jackarses about the release of the game, rushing it out before completion, and so forth we wouldn't have half the problems we have right now. Don't blame the PC gamers. Blame the publishers who are acting stupid.

I don't want any developer to do the game until LucasArts learns that you can't make a decent game less than 18 months then not giving it a thorough QA testing.

I hope they don't get Obsidian to do the game. Obsidian doesn't need to be put through that sort of crap. LA is one publisher game develoeprs should avoid.

Well, I got a 5700 LE with 256 MB and there was a moderate boost to gameplay speed. In any case in KotOR 2 you do need to do a lot of tweaking to get it run decently. If you do not have the money for the 5700 LE get the program called FRAPS. It is a program that will give you the frames per second for nearly any computer game. You can use that tool to tweak the settings to get the best possible performance balanced with graphical quality. Also sometimes the game will drop in frame rate for no reason. When that happens mess with the settings for a moment then go back to your normal settings. That does help against performance hiccups. Well, Online stores don't deal with property taxes and renting. Thats what I would tell them.

I don't really care how long the patch takes as long as it fixes the majority of the issues I have with the game, but Obsidian and LucasArts has a very skewed meaning of the word "soon." Soon is a day or two. The Patch release is not soon.

I think they should have nixed the X-Box version and focused on the PC version.

Someone should have told you that the GeForce 5200 is worthless regardless of RAM. Overall clock speed the 4800 is faster and more efficient.

I am sure it costs a lot more to make video games, console or PC. I am surprised prices for games haven't gone up to $60 to $70 instead of being $40 to $50. I would have easily given $70 for KotOR 2 if it was in full completed form.

Well, I will always be a PC gamer because I use the PC for everything. It is my stereo. My game machine. My internet connection. My word processor. My sketch pad. My DVD player. And so forth and so on. If they made a console that can do everything I do on a computer then I will get a console and not a moment sooner.
