  1. Of course. Its always a business' best interest to eliminate the competition.
  2. I like the music in KotOR 2 better than KotOR 1. Too bad it is in mono.
  3. It doesn't matter if you are an atheist, agnostic, or religious in my opinion on this matter. It is an issue of keeping church and state separate. In recent years the church and state has slowly merging, which is wrong. We need a secular government in order to keep all religions and all people equal. Now people are talking about the tyranny of the majority, which is a concern. When it gets to that level, sucession is needed.
  4. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but I would like to see OE boyos be more forthcoming and honest with their feelings about LA.
  5. Or an icepick in his back with Zoe giggling cheerfully.
  6. Oldar.
  7. How was it not be considered a traditional CRPG. Turn base combat, rules system that played like PnP, isometric view, and a good story. What wasn't traditional about it? If you say that it was sci fi there was plenty of good sci fi CRPGs prior to Fallout and decently written PnP RPGs as well.
  8. It is. I miss the days of Fallout and and old school Ultima.
  9. Like I said, the days of traditional CRPGs are dead. Bioware was the last great maintstream CRPG maker and well with them deep sixing the traditional style with NWN and KotOR there was no one left worthwhile.
  10. It was an okay remake but I prefer the original more, but Queenscryche had a decent version.
  11. Angry Kid Joe reminds me of that old metal band Ugly Kid Joe who performed the great masterpiece "I Hate Everything About You."
  12. Well, my suggestion is to talk withthe creator and see what's up. I mean mods bulding off mods happen from time to time. It shouldn't be that big of a deal if you are given credit for your part of the work involved. If you have a real problem with it send an e-mail to the PCgamemods administrator and something could be worked out. Hope that helps.
  13. Well, he saw a shrink and got some meds. He was no longer crazy, but then he got the bill which angered him.
  14. True enough, Mark. It would depend more if ATI and NVidia gives up on Open GL than Microsoft to see if Emulation would even be needed. The question remains is that can we have both DirectX 10 and DirectX 9 on the same computer. That way DirectX9 can take over on games and apps made for it while DirectX 10 can focus on newer games and apps requiring it. This way no emulation would be necessary.
  15. What would be the point?
  16. There is more than just the definition of "role" in a role playing game.
  17. If you are playing yourself then its not a role. You are just playing as yourself.
  18. Well, yeah. Its my particular idiom.
  19. Well, I went to Gamestop and listed all their "RPG" games they are selling. There were games I would never consider RPG. Downright sickening if you ask me. Oh well, the genre itself is long dead so why bother define something which the industry itself doesn't give a shat.
  20. And what possible use can this information have for you?
  21. Of course I do.
  22. Because I am trying to understand why you guys are concerned about it when it isn't your business.
  23. Development time is irrelevant to the consumer. Only thing that matters to the player is the quality of the game. Behind the scenes crap is just that and not overall important on a game's release. The game could take 5 years or 2 months to development, and it would be meaningless to the average player. All they are concerned is the game playable, is it fun to play, and is it supported post release. Is Obsidian going the path of Troika? It looks like it.
  24. I'm just saying that what sells and what doesm't sell, or who is a fanboy and who isn't is not our concern on these matters and we should be focusing on the aspects of gaming that are our concern. The game, the fun, and the support..
