I will compare a Fallout game to a Fallout game, and with Fallout 1 and 2 being the best Fallout games I will naturally base that comparison to them. That doesn't work for you and that is fine but it works for me. Like I said, we have different tastes and expectations in games.

I am the only person that matters to me as much as alan is the only person that matters to him in this discussion. If it is my fault for my tastes and expectations then it is his fault for his. My views works for me and Alan's views works for him, however his views do not work for me as mine does not work for him.

Of course its not the first time. I never said it was. Any game that uses a name of a previous game but that is all they have in common is crap. You can either make the game similar to the original if you are going use the name or you can come up with an original title and let the game stand on its own merits. I prefer the latter than the former. If a game is going to have Fallout in its title I expect a Fallout game. If a game is going to have Quake in its title I expect a Quake game. If a game is going to have Might and magic in its title then I expect a Might and magic game. So forth and so on.

So I was wrong. Big deal. That doesn't mean the subject is dead. Near invincible enemies are still cheesey.

It just seems to be a very bad idea.

So the poor game design came from the PnP side of things. Like I said, good thing the old WoD got ditched.

The world would be better off if it was.

If it has the Fallout name I will compare it to FO 1 and FO 2. I don't care if it is FPS POS, an action game, or strategy. Fallout is a CRPG therefore all games with the Fallout name will be judged as such. FOT and FOPOS are Fallout in name only and thusly crap.

People are going to pirate a game anyway. If they like it they will buy it. If not they will uninstall it. If the publisher makes it a pain for legit users to play the game then they are just going to lose sales because they would end up pirating the game just so they don't have to deal with the issues of copy protection.

My response to that is "Because you don't know how the NPC would react on what you have just said."

So, in a proper Vampire game there would never be a werewolf showing up like one did in Bloodlines then?

That sounds ridiculously over powered. Thank goodness that White Wolf decided to ditch the old WoD.

I think it did as well as the Sega Master System here in the US.

At most I think they have only increased on average $10 USD a game over the course of a decade. Compared to other price increases on products that is non-existant.

I don't see why publishers even bother with copy protection. Its going to be broken by those who are determined to do so and it more often than not penalizes legitiment users.

Game prices have increased. REALLY! (w00t) Its just that the Canadian Dollar has also increased in value. Which makes the game's price lower.
