Efficiency depends on your own force. If you are only a few people against a far superior force then you use what means are necessary. If your forces are equal and stronger then it owuld be more efficient to rally the average citizen for your cause. Battlewookie, I am equally certain that the roles were reverse in that little drama, that it was a US soldier being interrogated by terrorists that there would be equal if not more extreme form of torture used. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

I like halflfings. Especially Halfling rogue wizards who have reduce and fly spells on them, so they can be as tiny as a sprite and be high in the air launching fireballs down below. FIERY BURNING DEATH FROM A TEENY HALFLING! Gotta love it.

One of my friends played a a Cleric/Paladin of Urgalon. Played him very straight faced, deadly serious, and very tenacious against those who were enemies of his faith. He kept his voice at a very deep monotone. The PCs visited region of planes that never saw a halfling and when he was asked what he was he would go: "I am a halfling. We are a fun loving happy people." Sounding like Marvin the paranoid android.

And FRAPS won't work? Fallout 1 works with FRAPS, if memory serves, and its about that time. Weird. Have you tried older versions of FRAPS?

Actually in the Halfling pantheon there are more than 1 god/goddess that is Lawful good to lawful neutral that allows paladins. Yondalla, the chief leader of the Halfling dieities, is revered as a warrior and protecter of hearth and home while Urgalon, the Halfling Death God, despises the undead and evil magics that corrupts, often have paladins part of his clergy order to destroy such abominations.

Actually targeting civilians is a legitimate strategy, just not a nice one and really damages one's public relations. It is the Civilian populations that support the government through taxes and working the economy. Through these taxes and economic support the government exists and with that money and resources the government can support its military. Take out the foundation that the Civilians represent and you not only hurt the government and military you are targeting but also the image of the government to protect and serve its people. It may not be a tactic you may agree with, but it is a tactic that is legitimate and if done so on a massive scale can work.
