  1. Don't be stupid. Having a starving population living way below the proverty line is not being a self sufficient country. The purpose of government is to protect and put its citizenry first and foremost, not on its own selfish wants.
  2. So, you have to work for it? I like that.
  3. not going to happen in NWN2, ferret decided that you need to keep some party members with you on certain key points of the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hate that.
  4. Do not mistake my online personality for my real world attributes. Such as using the carry capacity tables in the PHB I have a 14 Strength and since I do have a pretty mean shot with a weapons at range and able to dodge things quite easily, I would also give myself a 12 to 14 dex. Constitution would be a 10. I have had my share of illnesses and I am out of shape. College educated and did quite well in my classes so that garners a 14. I can be rather impulsive so an 8 in Wisdom. As for Charisma I can be quite friendly and persuasive if I wish to be, but only in the real world dealing with people face to face. On the net I feel I can be more free to vent my irrationalities. Overall a 12 Charisma for I am very well liked among my peers. Now one would probably scoff at writing oneself as a DnD character but it can be quite fun actually. I did a whole Forgotten Realms campaign where the players made themselves as PCs trapped on Faerun, using the Curse of the Azure Bonds as the startng module. I let the players take one item of their belongings to make the trip. One took his car, one took his sword, another brought his laptop along, ne brought his backpack (which had his DnD gaming books), and the last player brought a paint ball gun.
  5. Sorry, but i place the lives of the innocent Americans who would die in such attack in a higher regard.
  6. No. Maybe. If you have a really crappy video card, yes.
  7. If North Korea decides to send a nuclear missile against the US I think the best response would be to wipe out the nation, from border to border.
  8. I particularly don't like the ph@t lewt thing, but if you have to go through the trouble of making it that is better than finding it in a barrel on the street.
  9. Yeah, I guess it could have been a whole lot worse.
  10. The Al Qaeda and from that group the Taliban of Afganistan attacked us and we were in our rights to put them out of power. To wipe them out to a man as we should. I don't consider it intervening if we are responding to a proven threat against Americans on US soil. The problem is that we diverted our attention from securing Afganistan and invaded Iraq, letting Osama and his cronies slip between our fingers. We should have secured Afganistan and killed every Taliban and Al Qaeda personal within its borders, then restablished a democracy there and use that as a forward post for future incursions in the area instead of going recklessly into Iraq.
  11. I hope the pilot and the occupants (if any) of the apartment are alright.
  12. or a halfling named Hades with a dex of 1. and a charisma of 2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually I have a Dexterity of 14 and a Charisma of 12. I have a Wisdom of 8, however.
  13. No problem.
  14. I don't see why there are analogies from WWII and today's problems in the first place. Hitler was not contained. Saddam was. Hitler was a threat outside his nation. Saddam wasn't. Hitler was an actual significant threat. Saddam wasn't and would never be. Hitler had strong ties with Japan, the nation that attacked the US. Saddam and Osama had no such ties and in fact were enemies. I see no corelation between WWII and the War of Terror.
  15. That was the style for men back when the movie was made but nowadays it isn't.
  16. From the way I heard Hitler did not want the US to get directly involved and had a major fit when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. While the history lesson is interesting I think we should be more concerned with the problems of today. Sure some of the mistakes made in post war WW2 are still effecting us today, like the formation of Israel in the Middle East, but there is nothing we can do to fix that now. Allwe can do is ty to fix the problems we are facing today.
  17. The more I hear about Vista the more I am keeping XP.
  18. *Hades pounces on Chris Avellone and shoves a 6 pack of Guinness down his throat* HAPPY B-DAY! (w00t)
  19. This is really a sad sad story.
  20. Wow, this is getting somewhat personal. Oh, in case you guys missed it because Bushie decided not to focus on Afganistan and "stay the course" the Taliban are back and gaining support. WAY TO GO BUSH! "
  21. North Korea exploded a nuclear bomb in an underground test. The U.N. failed to stop them. China is pissed off at North Korea for this.
  22. Oh yes, the UN was so effective in stopping N.K. from testing its nuclear bomb.
  23. Agreed. They should release PotSC, Inifinite Dungeons, and WCoC on a CD and ship it out like they did Kingmaker.
  24. Isolationism does and will not work, but keep in mind self sufficiency does not equal isolation.
