Was this a joke ?
10 dollars on "you don't get headshots even though you are trying to aim at the head aka rpg mechanics"

Fallout: New Vegas
I guess it's time to stop reading FNV threads.

Fallout: New Vegas

Dungeon Siege 3 at New York Comic Con
Looking great, would love a proper 720p version of it though that isn't shot via video camera

There are these things called NDAs that kinda dictate what they can and can't say.

C&VG: Sega rules out Alpha Protocol sequel
True, but some of these guys are actually paid to play the game....
-
Patch release
True, but then again they can afford to upgrage their computers from time to time to be able to play the newest games. And it's not like games don't ever go on sale. If you can't afford fully priced games you can always wait for steam sales. Generally though 30-60 euros ain't a large amount of money for western europeans. For students who don't work part time or unemployed people it is a lot of money. And for PC you can get two games for 60 euros if you just order them from cheap places such as play.com

Fallout: New Vegas
What? did FO3 win an award for best writing? that is simultaneously the funniest and saddest thing.. Yup. "At the 2009 Game Developer's Choice Awards, it won overall Game of the Year along with Best Writing"
-
Fallout: New Vegas
It's a sandbox game. People are willing to look the other way on some of the not-so-great things just because it's a sandbox game. Mediocre writing, frustrating & average combat and dated engine they don't seem to matter as much as being able to freely roam in the wilderness and exploring. I still don't understand how the game got top grades. Yes I can see why it could get scores around 8 or 80. That award for best writing was just confusing. I wonder if the people who voted for that even finished the game.

I thought you lived in France and not in some 3rd world country where 30-60 euros is actually a lot of money. As for what comes to paying for things that are bad or don't work... There are these things called gaming mazines (you prolly steal them from stores since one article they published was bad) or even free sites than you can use to read game reviews. Voila, no more money wasted on inferior products. And you could just resort to playing on consoles. No more hardware issues causing games work badly. And what comes to your superior logic, I think Kirottu covered it quite well.

Patch release
Not 100% sure but weren't the layoffs due to Aliens being cancelled by Sega...
-
Patch release
The thing is though, we don't know how much of the structure and story fiddling is due to Sega not knowing what they want or due to Obsidian. And I guess we won't find out anytime soon...

Patch release
Did I mention Alpha Protocol there? I was just making a general comment about the lack and level of polish in different games. Since it's not really that rare to see a crpg that isn't as polished as your average shooter. But anyways do share the link, cba to go find it myself.
-
Patch release
Though most of those don't actually make crpgs It's way easier to polish a straight up shooter that follows a narrow path than it is to polish a sandbox game or a crpg with actual c&c. Not to mention crpgs usually are at least twice as long than your average game.

No offense, but you are a massive idiot if you think pirating games will suddenly make companies such as Sega treat their customers better. It will only stop them from making genre games. We will be riddled with more and more generic shooters with bad stories. As for developers most of the time their hands are tied by the publisher.

Fallout: New Vegas
Or they might make another stand alone Fallout game set in the west coast to "milk" the franchise. We don't know if Fallout 4 is even in development yet and I don't think Zenimax would leave a series that sells alone for many years. Edit: Nvm just read it again. It clearly says FNV

I bet they will want to get some more feedback on the patch and not just do a quick fix

C&VG: Sega rules out Alpha Protocol sequel
Gee, I hope not. Do we really need a second ME2? Not really, but I think it's safe to say people hate rpg mechanics deciding if they hit or miss in a game that plays like a first person shooter. By people I mean the majority of gamers.
-
Fallout: New Vegas
But that would mean they would actually have to change up. Change is bad. And when I think about the comments they made about writing and writers in computer games I just don't see Bethesda actually focusing on the writing elements. And let's not forgetl Fallout 3 won an award for writing! Why change anything

Patch release
Source prolly was Gamebanshee interview with Feargus at E3. Cba to look for the link though

Mana based or Cooldown?
Isn't that bit of an exaggeration? It's not like we know much about the game, nor has there been any new info relesed lately to talk about. AP forums were quite quiet as well before the media push started, not to mention all the talk after the game was out.

C&VG: Sega rules out Alpha Protocol sequel
Nice move by Sega... again. Would AP2 be viable option for some publisher after FNV and DS3? Maybe. If those games are succesful (not buggy, good reviews, good looking etc..) some publisher might think why not give Obsidian another chance with AP. The game has some great elements, but need some tuning and polishing to get the masses excited. If that publisher is any good at all at what they do, they would "force" Obsidian to make some changes to the game to respond some of the critique aimed at AP. Just by tuning the shooting the mechanics to feel more like a shooter and not a rpg (since apparently having rpg mechanics in a rpg is bad) would it make more commercially viable. Though I'm pretty sure it would require a demo or/and some really great reviews to get people to buy a sequel to a game they disliked.
