  1. Urge to pre-order... firmly non-existent. It was all so incoherent.
  2. Really enjoying Knights of Sidonia on Netflix. Best idea I can give of it is Martian Successor Nadesico meets Attack on Titan. Two seasons so far, I'm two episodes short of finishing it and I give it a comfortable 4 stars out of 5. I'm not dying to rewatch the whole thing, but I am really wanting them to do a third.
  3. This is what being sick does to you. I thought you guys were talking about The Evil Within... Yeah, I liked Xcom: Enemy Within.
  4. Do you guys like Enemy Within? I tried playing it over the weekend and I don't know if I'm just sick, but I was freaking awful at it.
  5. Human beings are so poorly manufactured that we can't taste anything when our noses our clogged. I demand a refund.
  6. Star Wars VIII has been titled. The Last Jedi http://www.starwars.com/news/the-official-title-for-star-wars-episode-viii-revealed?cmp=smc%7C785924754
  7. Friday night/Saturday morning my allergies started up something awful. Or that's what I thought. Seems more like I have a cold. The second cold in a month. Dayquil provides about 30 minutes of relief after taking it, so I've got that going for me.
  8. Game hopping. Read Only Memories 2064. A very dialogue heavy adventure game. I haven't even seen a puzzle so far. Just go to a place, click everything until you find the right thing, at which point they talk a lot and you move to the next scene. It's actually pretty good and the voice acting is excellent. But it's not grabbing me yet. Evoland II. Barely started it and have already seen three different styles. I wasn't too impressed with Evoland I so I'm keeping my expectations in check. Earthworm Jim 1 and 2. Earthworm Jim has sound problems for me to figure out. The music is fine, but the sound effects are mute. 2 does not have this problem.
  9. It's the first good Shyamalan since Unbreakable, so I'm really impressed. I kind of liked Devil a little, but he was only a producer and wrote the original story. Honestly, I thought it was really good. I'll probably even out after my hype dies down, but I'm optimistic about my long-term appraisal. 4 stars out of 5, would enjoy watching again.
  10. They would in order to enforce licensing of the emblem. You're literally talking about them giving it away for free. If they let people use it freely, they can't fundraise from licensing it.
  11. It's a trademark. Unenforced trademarks risk becoming generic and then lost. Red Cross does a large amount of its fundraising through licensing the use of their emblem. They kind of need it.
  12. A Series of Unfortunate Events I consider it a moral imperative to attempt to dissuade you from watching it. Certainly, it is well crafted series with clever writing and interesting performances, but the story overall is so filled with gloom and despair as to render the value of those other things moot. If there exists within me deep and hidden within my soul any inclination to recommend this series, then believe me when I say that should only be viewed as further condemnation of it and the dark seed it has planted inside. For your own sake and that of those who care for you that would hate to see you in despair, look away.
  13. Trails in the Sky I'm rather enjoying it, thought I've only just gotten past the Prologue and into Chapter 1. And a bit of Star Wars Battlefront. They finally fix Lando tomorrow!
  14. The reinforcement system they have is pretty weak. They announce it the round before they appear and it's just one squad. Unless you're busy fighting someone else you can wipe them out with overwatch. I liked it, don't get me wrong. But I liked it just because it was an opportunity to pull off great ambushes. It just wasn't a threat.
  15. I don't consider frustration to be interesting. And that's what the timer generated in me. I can see some draw if having your guys get grabbed, their movement debuffed, and the path to the exit burning down was something that just happened in a blue moon (on normal) causing you to lose a bunch. That's exciting. But if it's liable to happen every 2-3 missions, it's just obnoxious. And that was before the boss monsters from the DLC started to appear. They were showing up every other mission or more. If I hadn't already disabled timers by that time, I would have stopped playing the game entirely. Having to always make bad decisions isn't fun.
  16. How long is it? The next JRPG I'm planning to play is Trails in the Sky, but if it's short I'll make time for it.
  17. Play Master of the Wind, if you haven't already. I have no idea what that is. Edit: This? http://solestgames.com/game/master-of-the-wind/
  18. Decided to finally get around to Charles Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa. And it's terrible. It's not even a funny joke unless you think taking basketball way too seriously is hilarious. Not really feeling like playing anything else. But I typed up some handwritten parts of that RPG Maker project I'll never finish. I also tried out that Project Diva game that launched free on PS4, just to see how much of a weaboo I am deep down inside. Turns out I'm terrible at rhythm games and lost about 2 minutes in. I kind of knew that already. So that's enough of that.
  19. That's the same disable timer mod I used. Sorry to hear that. The first one was better anyway.
  20. What disable timer mod did you use? The one I used worked perfectly.
  21. And Final Fantasy VI is complete. A more fulfilling title than XV was, for sure. The villain's development in the second half feels similarly lackluster, but it has a greater focus on the party's stories at that point so they make up for it.
  22. So I decided to go onto Kefka's tower. Why would you make me use 12 characters for this? I've barely touched over half these guys. Died to ninjas pretty badly. I've also played Analogue: A Hate Story and Hate Plus. I thoroughly enjoyed them, but I don't think they'd be anyone else around here's cup of tea. They're probably the most waifu game I've ever seen.
  23. Final Fantasy VI Don't know if I want to grind some stuff (unlikely), do some side dungeons (maybe), or hunt down abilities for characters (also maybe). Or just hit the final dungeon and call it.
