  1. If they can keep it difficult into late game, it can be a real treasure.
  2. Are we there yet?
  3. I'm playing babysit my dad's dogs one of whom still isn't properly housetrained. I am not very good at this game. Less times for games, more time for Netflix though.
  4. The third game's the one with the crossdressers, right? That's all I remember.
  5. That's because you're a quitter. I played them all and they were all imminently forgettable.
  6. I love the phrase "Moon Logic Puzzle." It's so evocative of just how nonsensical it all is. But this specific example named a trope entry that I'm not sure how it's different. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SolveTheSoupCans Anyway, I don't think there's a lot to say. Someone either thought they were being witty or they rushed something together with the only criteria being that it should be hard. I imagine the early days of playtesting played no little part in the whole affair. Get stuck, ask Jim, and if you think it's a real problem, well, they can always call the tip line.
  7. If it's that short, maybe I should finally knock it out this weekend.
  8. Fate Stay/Night Up to just starting the final part, Heaven's Feel. Overall it's been a fairly typical high school boy that all the girls like gets magical powers and fights type of story, but there's a few interesting ideas in it that keep me engaged. The Unlimited Blade Works route in particular was exceptional, despite the groanworthy attempts at analyzing relatively simple life philosophies. But you pretty much have to be numb to that to even enjoy these stories aimed at teenage/young adult demographics. Negativity out of the way, I have enjoyed it. Sure, there's it's issues with dissecting philosophies that aren't even worth dissecting and the whole thing where , but the characters are fun and their conflicts provide tension and emotional resolutions.
  9. Useless spam sucks. Whether it's e-mail, phone, forums, or the release and genre lists at a online stores. It's annoying and it makes it harder to notice actual worthwhile games. Valve's discovery updates have done nothing to help this, they revolve entirely around the UI and their joke of a tag system.
  10. Root Double The After route was pretty interesting, but overwhelmed with cliffhangers. The Before route that supposedly answers this stuff is a lot less interesting.
  11. Urge to pre-order... firmly non-existent. It was all so incoherent.
  12. Really enjoying Knights of Sidonia on Netflix. Best idea I can give of it is Martian Successor Nadesico meets Attack on Titan. Two seasons so far, I'm two episodes short of finishing it and I give it a comfortable 4 stars out of 5. I'm not dying to rewatch the whole thing, but I am really wanting them to do a third.
  13. Just bought it and 3.
  14. This is what being sick does to you. I thought you guys were talking about The Evil Within... Yeah, I liked Xcom: Enemy Within.
  15. Do you guys like Enemy Within? I tried playing it over the weekend and I don't know if I'm just sick, but I was freaking awful at it.
  16. Human beings are so poorly manufactured that we can't taste anything when our noses our clogged. I demand a refund.
  17. Star Wars VIII has been titled. The Last Jedi http://www.starwars.com/news/the-official-title-for-star-wars-episode-viii-revealed?cmp=smc%7C785924754
  18. Friday night/Saturday morning my allergies started up something awful. Or that's what I thought. Seems more like I have a cold. The second cold in a month. Dayquil provides about 30 minutes of relief after taking it, so I've got that going for me.
  19. Game hopping. Read Only Memories 2064. A very dialogue heavy adventure game. I haven't even seen a puzzle so far. Just go to a place, click everything until you find the right thing, at which point they talk a lot and you move to the next scene. It's actually pretty good and the voice acting is excellent. But it's not grabbing me yet. Evoland II. Barely started it and have already seen three different styles. I wasn't too impressed with Evoland I so I'm keeping my expectations in check. Earthworm Jim 1 and 2. Earthworm Jim has sound problems for me to figure out. The music is fine, but the sound effects are mute. 2 does not have this problem.
  20. It's the first good Shyamalan since Unbreakable, so I'm really impressed. I kind of liked Devil a little, but he was only a producer and wrote the original story. Honestly, I thought it was really good. I'll probably even out after my hype dies down, but I'm optimistic about my long-term appraisal. 4 stars out of 5, would enjoy watching again.
  21. Maybe the real Project Louisiana is the friendships we made along the way.
  22. They would in order to enforce licensing of the emblem. You're literally talking about them giving it away for free. If they let people use it freely, they can't fundraise from licensing it.
  23. It's a trademark. Unenforced trademarks risk becoming generic and then lost. Red Cross does a large amount of its fundraising through licensing the use of their emblem. They kind of need it.
  24. A Series of Unfortunate Events I consider it a moral imperative to attempt to dissuade you from watching it. Certainly, it is well crafted series with clever writing and interesting performances, but the story overall is so filled with gloom and despair as to render the value of those other things moot. If there exists within me deep and hidden within my soul any inclination to recommend this series, then believe me when I say that should only be viewed as further condemnation of it and the dark seed it has planted inside. For your own sake and that of those who care for you that would hate to see you in despair, look away.
